  1. Love the active runway lighting. I was wondering why you hadn't put tiles on the edges, but now I know.
  2. The lab is nicely built. Seems sturdy enough to contain the mysterious substance the scientists are playing with. The purchase scene in the back alley is good too. I like the brickwork and the dumpster.
  3. Another masterpiece. The intricate details really make this a realistic locomotive. I know others have mentioned it, but your work on the angles, especially the nose, it really creates the proper look. Even the transformer on the roof has the angling!
  4. Sweet mech. Good proportions and color scheme. Including an opening cockpit really makes this a nice design. I'm not sure about the yuppie piloting it though.
  5. I like the mix of organic and technology in this. That said, I'd still kill it with hot plasma fire if my starship encountered it.
  6. Well done. I like the use of the classic hinged plate setup on the back. The colors are right and it feels good.
  7. Great rendition of Broadside's Brig. The Sabre Island tribute is a good one too. Nice parts use of the Unikitty tails with decoration for the stern of the ship.
  8. Wonderful scene. The winter landscape is one not many do and is harder to perfect. Here, you've done well. The rocks are snow covered, but not everything is a blanket of white. The crane and the deer are both fine brick built creatures as well. Overall, an amazing build.
  9. Pointless exercises to keep the troops occupied. Sounds like fun. Nice scenery.
  10. It's all business, isn't it. The Prime Minister wasn't to start a war for profit. Must be nice to send others to die for the almighty Brick Buck. Nice gardens too.
  11. I'm a history major and enjoy military history. It makes it fun researching things like this to add to the story. I've noticed a lot of special forces operators abound in GBW. I try to bring in a more combined arms/real world flair. Not everybody is elite or experienced. @Dutch Thriceman got it correct. I used nearly every non-red hinge plate and brick I had to make the waves. One click only. As for the waves, I wanted the look of real wave action at sea, not light waves across a lake most do.
  12. Danke. These are based off the Soviet intelligence trawlers that plied the seas during the Cold War. Here's my sources: https://www.navyhistory.org/2017/02/russian-spy-ship-off-delaware-brings-back-cold-war-memories/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spy_ship
  13. A sigfig isn't required, but is a nice touch. Additionally, you gain a bit of currency for the build. That said, a sigfig isn't required to be used in every build. Mine is a pilot, but my latest build was a naval scene. Major Brickinov wasn't anywhere to be seen.
  14. Excellent 4000 class 4-8-8-4. Almost everything looks perfect. I would use a Fez piece for the bell, but that's about all I would do. Does having the battery box up in the front of the boiler/smokebox work well with the weight on wheels?
  15. Well done. As mentioned above, the focus in this picture is perfect. The impression of a view from far away across a well detailed landscape is there, but it highlights the final moments of Bormir.
  16. I'll agree the Vipers do get ugly and repetitive. Seeing one or two now and then is cool, but sooo many at once is "overkill". The Starhawk II may be ugly, but I looked at it as a parts pack with promise before recognizing it was a real set. Yeah, UGLY!
  17. Steinovania Marine Werk produces a number of fishing trawlers for one of the largest fishing fleets in the Northern Sea. Mostly used for cod and herring, the trawlers are stout vessels designed to survive in cold and rough seas. After the Steinovanian Civil War, the newly formed government of PDSRE revamped its military capabilities and intelligence collection abilities. One method of enhancing collection was to modify a proven SMW trawler design for intelligence operations. The first generation of Type 138 intelligence collection trawlers were limited in capability. They had a few antennas mounted on the superstructure and on the mast, but they were smaller and the electronics were pitiful. The Type 138B trawler was a significant improvement in collection capability. The number of antennas was increased, and they were more sensitive. After the PDSRE clandestinely acquired advanced computer chips, the internals were upgraded, boosting collection ability considerably. Above, from left to right: Red containers, lift rafts. Winch. On the mast (top to bottom), medium collection antenna, color and infrared video system, cellular antennas, polarized collection antenna, and radar warning receiver. On each side of the mast, a mount for a 13mm heavy machine gun or light rocket launcher. The large planar array at the rear of the superstructure is a multiband collection antenna. Radio collection antennas above radar warning receivers flank the exhaust stack. High gain collection antennas are mounted on masts. Microwave collection antennas are above the port and starboard hatches. A satellite communication array is above and behind the bridge, allowing for high-bandwidth communications back to the PDSRE. Commercial radar units for weather and collision avoidance are in the twin domes. On the foremast, a standard radio transmit/receive antenna is mounted above a radar warning receiver. At the bow, there is another mount for a machine gun or rocket launcher. Internally, this Type 138B-III ship is outfitted with the latest computer gear. Additionally, the crew has assault rifles readily available. The bigger weapons are located lower in the ship. The standard crew is 12. The captain, a first mate, a cook, an engineer, a machinists mate, a boatswain, a helmsman, a regular sailor, and four intelligence specialists. Who is the agent of the MSS or Border Guards onboard the ship is a tightly kept secret, but is often the cook. Two Type 138D ships were ordered. These are easily recognizable due to the massive phased array radar mounted at the rear and the lack of a tall mast on the stern. The phenomenal power requirements necessitated the inclusion of an extra engine for power generation. The exhaust stack is located where the stern mast was. The Type 138D is used to track ballistic missile and space launches and collect parts of the launch vehicle that fall into the ocean. Both ships were in port when Tosul recently conducted their first ICBM test, and neither was close enough for the second test to pinpoint the launch facility.
  18. The straight track shows as "Sold Out" on Bricks and Pieces. Maybe LEGO will get a clue that people want lots of track and not pay inflated prices for 60205. Nobody really cares much for flexi-track and we've got more curves than we can find uses for, and that's after repurposing them as architectural designs.
  19. Spot on! You nailed the look of the classic Camaro. Make this in Penske blue with a white number roundel on it and we're set to go Trans-Am racing.
  20. So you built this like a real castle, over time with various additions and modifications. That gives it character. For the size, you have quite good details while still retaining the ability to play with it (City minifigs with antenna not included). The modularity is a nice addition, allowing for further expansion or reconfiguration at your whims.
  21. Exquisite details. I love the blue and white chevrons. Really gives it the proper feel for a small border castle collecting taxes along a trade route. The vegetation is varied, making that a pleasing part of the scene, while the weather beaten look to the wood really gives it character. Actually, all the imperfections make this more realistic than a perfect building. Great work.
  22. Both are elegant designs. The valve gear advancements are nice, but both are quite sophisticated. I will disagree with your final statement. I like the lines of the M3a (LEGO side view) better.
  23. Summer is becoming bloody expensive. This is frickin' wicked!
  24. I can feel this MOC in my chest and smell the nitromethane! Everything is there. The VHT blackened burnout and launch area, the tree, the timing trap points down the track, the stands, even the timing and scoring tower. The big board is great, especially with the ability to put the iPad in it. One thing I did notice is both drivers blew the start and got red lights. Might want to remove the lights from them on the tree. Both your Octan sponsored top-fuel and classic muscle cars are perfect.
  25. Wonderful way of controlling the crossing arms. Your setup definitely allows for such options with the brick built ground.
