  1. The spacing is just slightly larger than the standard flatribben cable such as what used to be used for floppy drives, HDDs, scsi, etc.
  2. I couldn't find any photos when I was searching, so I ended up taking apart one of my cables. Here are some photos. Each terminal and the old style 9V connectors are individually pressed onto the ribben cable, which means it will be just about impossible to replace the ribben cable in the plug with a different one.
  3. That seems kind of pointless, lego already makes a case for a 9V battery and has an adaptor cable to connect it to PF motors.
  4. Nice idea. I hope that doesn't result in too much torque being applied to the remaining fixed connection.
  5. Missed the UCS star destroyer cause I didn't have that much income back then, and was busy with wrapping up college. I also should have gotten a second 41999, now I have one but don't know whether I should build it since its selling for so much, with 2 I could build one and use the other one for parts or resell or whatever in the future. I also missed the mars rover since it was released and sold out while I was on vacation.
  6. buying it for the full price in US$ is still significantly cheaper than the sale price here ;(
  7. That's a bit annoying, but adding any random 2euro set brings it over the total. I may stop by the store in town and see if they will just round the 39.99 up.
  8. Toysrus.de has the frontloader for 176, pickup for 72, and bulldozer for 32 until the 6th or so. I tried to sell my extra one for like 100 or 120 euros and nobody wanted it, if I had known.
  9. amazon is pricematching toysrus.de, which have 20% off on all lego sets, including the three new technic sets. So the bulldozer for 32 and the pickup for 71 or so. Karstadt has had it on the shelves for a week or so, but unfortunately at the full price.
  10. Ya but where is the fun in that?
  11. Since I don't have a smartphone, will you release the message protocol used? Then I could use a bluetooth USB stick or transmitter on an FPGA or PI to control it. Alternatively an i2c bus or something, but that would require running a cable to the brick.
  12. Can the inventory be virtual, or include a list of parts we don't have enough of to show both the built model and the inventory at once?
  13. I'm guessing its too large to compare to the dozer scalewise, the old front loader already was too large :D
  14. I pick up an 8421 at a local store while really stressed during the finals for college, and then a year later the bulldozer, and since then just about every new technic set released after that.
  15. I like your solution, this is a problem I have occasionally thought about but never figured out.
  16. Looking at my shelves, the original off roader looks the largest due to its bulk.
  17. I think you can do this directly on bricklink, convert a set's inventory into a new wanted list and remove what you have.
  18. Has anyone tried checking lego direct?
  19. What would you want for the a shuttle or two, the movie set, and the two batman sets? (shipped to Germany). Don't have any of the things you are after, would do paypal.
  20. 150 sure, but 130? Where can you get it for that price?
  21. I once had a dead M-motor and they just asked me to return the dead one so they could check what caused it to fail. I wouldn't worry about the BB too much, since its so much easier to swap a BB instead of batteries you'll quickly have more than you want.
  22. Two of my cacti have lego technic scaffolding to support them, does that count?
  23. I'll only do one more step before gong to bed.
  24. Wonder who will be next to have a licensed flagship... maybe a caterpillar bulldozer in 2015?
  25. I don'\t think 8110 or 9298 are still available at S@H. Unless you can pick them up in person, I would assume its a scam.
