  1. picked up a used 8421 without motor or battery box for 30 euros shipped. Appears to be complete otherwise.
  2. That's what I meant, unless I'm missing something.
  3. Then replace the grey thick 1x2 with two thin 1x2s with two axle holes, getting those out is difficult enough as it is when you can grasp the axle normally.
  4. That's easier, if you have a 2x3 plate with 2 1x2 plates under it leaving a matching hole. Then you can use the normal brick separator. I think that's the worst so far, the rest are fine with needlenose pliers, but this is just cruel.
  5. I've seen the same guy regularly offer instructions on german ebay from juergen, and reported it both @ ebay and here by PM, but it hasn't stopped him from putting them back up a week later.
  6. DE at least has it again, its up to 150 though :(
  7. Do people actually buy the parts though? The asking price for the unimog parts is ridiculous, I've seen people ask 100 euros for just the snow plow, and the entire unimog is often on sale for between 130-140. Or wheels+portal hubs for 50 euros, etc.
  8. CAD sure, but there were some that looked like 3 minute crayon scribbles.
  9. 100 of the people who submitted entries get a set. If I had known I would have submitted my ugly attempt, but I didn't think it would win so I didn't bother. I wonder if the drawings also count?
  10. US has much better prices for new sets, and better sales though. And I've never seen a cheap 10030 here, unlike in the US. So it evens out.
  11. I gave up buying them all after I won 2 or 3 in a week, I now have something like 50 cylinders in my parts box.See http://www.ebay.de/csc/LEGO-/13315/i.html?_udlo=25&_ipg=200&_sop=10&_from=R40&LH_Complete=1&_mPrRngCbx=1&_nkw=8455&_pppn=r1&_dmpt=DE_Allesf%C3%BCrdKind_Spielzeug_Lego&_udhi=75
  12. A good way is grabbing a cheap 8455, it comes with 10 cyclinders, 2 pumps, etc. Prices vary reatly depending on where you live, several sell each week here for 50-60 euros. Alternatively lego direct for individual parts might be cheaper than bricklink.
  13. Did anyone ever find out anything about the dealer edition? I couple of months back I saw an auction for one of these completely covered in dust but the pics appeared to be taken in a car dealership, if I had known there were other versions I might have tried picking it up.
  14. Picked up the malevolence without figs for 45 euros shipped. I wouldn't mind the figs, but they aren't worth 35+ euros to me.
  15. I have several creator sets (planes and animals), and a couple of star wars sets. Everything else is technic.
  16. Nice one, I saw that auction, I expected it to fetch a lot more.
  17. Mine arrived today, I havn't started building it yet but the wheels outer diameter and width seem almost identical to the old ones from 8448; I'm gonna put them on that and see how it looks. Also, the wheels look like a good choice for a RC buggy, has anyone tried that yet?
  18. Its not the best deal I've seen, but one I actually got: a used 8285 with instructions and box for 50 euros, and its a great set to toss in the parts bin.
  19. 9V is the nominal voltage. Using an adaptor is probably the cheapest option, even if its not pure lego. A long PF cable is 5$ or so from lego, and splice that onto a 9V brick or lab power supply.
  20. Best price I've seen in normal stores in Germany has been 89, I've also seen it on ebay for 80+6 for shipping.
  21. I've never seen such sales in my local karstadt/kaufhof., but have had some luck in marktkauf.
  22. I prefer discounted sets / bulk lots for random parts, and bricklink when I need something specific/rare.
