  1. You've got everything there, you just might want a bit (read "a lot") more track to have a decent sized layout. A simple oval get mighty boring after a while, trust me.
  2. Looks like it was moved from the Town forum.
  3. Cool! I'll see if I can make it. Martinez is a bit far away from Pleasanton, though.
  4. Are you using the wheels with the traction band? The ones w/o the rubber band don't give you very much traction.
  5. The station is going to be rebuilt? I think it looks awesome! Don't tear it down!
  6. Looks good, but will probably not make it through the approval stage on lego ideas mainly due to the fact that it s 8 wide (not that that is a bad thing). Lego group has stuck to 6 wide. Other than that, nice build!!
  7. HOLY COW!! Thats huge!! will it be able to take lego curves, or just straight curves?
  8. Excellent idea. HEEEEEY MODERATOR...........!
  9. Looks awesome! One thing tho: what is a "GENSET" container?
  10. I'd love to see a reiteration of the hobby train set.
  11. That is what a lot of people do. They use "Eneloop" batteries in the AAA bat box.
  12. SHORT ANSWER: All the lego track gages are the same. LONG ANSWER: All the gages are the same, but different. The 9v and plastic tracks are exactly the same except the 9v has metal on the rail. The 12v and 4.5v i am not so sure about, as i don't have any to test.
  13. ^^^^ Did you modify the World City freight engine?
  14. True, but it runs just fine on curves (and straights if pulled). I'll see if I can scrounge up a video to show you guys.
  15. Sorry to bump an old topic, but ive had a similar problem. One of my 9v motors works perfectly, but the other "jitters" on straights. It jerks or lurches forward (if that makes any sense). The gap between the flanges and the motor is clean, however, the spring that pushes on the flanges is slightly weaker than the ones on the other 9v motor. Has anybody else had this problem/knows how to fix it? Again, sorry to bump an old topic. I didnt want to start a new one when I saw this one.
  16. Awesome idea! Now you can make working level crossing gates. Also: I think I've seen people do something similar with isolated 9v track/ motors driven by PF. I'll see if I can find it again...
  17. I always knew Duplo was good for something...
  18. I think what dr_spock meant was the powered engine in the rear of the train, pushing instead of pulling.
  19. I was thinking 'whats with the dinky wheels?' and then I saw the croc arms! Awesome concept!
  20. Looks awesome!!! One suggestion tho: can you get the letters in the car (snot, stickers, ect)?
  21. Oh ok. i didn't see that. Thanks! It seems they are just in a period of inactivity.
  22. Is there a way to make the roof bley? That would look good on opt. 2.
  23. It seems that railbricks has dissapeared for a while. Are they just inbetween issues or are the out for good?
  24. Could you make the pictures bigger please? Its not much fun to stare at a tiny thumbnail.
  25. Try either an old 9v battery or an 9v battery ()
