I agree. #2 seems to be the best option of the 4.

Flex tube works well, from what I've seen on here and flickr, brickshelf, ect.

... Now thats a big train. Is there gonna be any track for this massive beast of a model?
-
Vents added! Also added a 3rd headlight. Its made of this part () attached with a couple beams.
-
Good utilization of the big pieces. It works very well on this MOC.
-
Looks good, but may I ask what the nose is? It looks too smooth to be brick-built.
-
Nice use of the <insert that tiresome argument> nose piece. What are the top of the pantographs made of?

MOC: Lego Train Station 60050 XXL!
detjensrobert replied to SpeedingWilly's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Looks good, but could you maybe use smaller images please? The page takes an eternity to load. Thanks! -
Make sure the remote is on the same channel as the receiver. Also, you are not getting any traction with the plastic wheels. Use the ones with the rubber bands on them, as that will get you traction. The remotes: This one is a on-off-on remote (only full speed either direction, AKA bang-bang remote). ---------------- This one is a variable speed remote. Turning the circle increases/ decreases the speed

Heres a picture of the fans: Ive also added black tiles to the roof to get rid of the 80s look of the roof pieces (from this set) and also because of this piece ( ) which i'm using to hold the fans. EDIT: added BL thumbnail instead of link

I added a couple of fans to the roof, but having some trouble on how to add in the vents. Any suggestions? Camera is charging currently, pics coming soon.

Hello all, I've made this custom electric (?) engine and have decided to share it with the community. Not sure if this resembles any real engine, as this is a pretty basic shell. Now for some pics! Brick built doors and removable roof (for easy access to future PF upgrade, currently 9v): (yes I know I'm missing a window) Pulling a couple Santa Fe carriages: Feedback appreciated!

From what I can tell, there is really no difference between the 9v wheel sets and the PF ones; but then I haven't looked at them very closely either...
-

So ive been building and this is what i came up with. Couple more pics here
-
Thats not a bad idea -- i have a few snot brackets lying around Haha yea I could fill it with green and trans-green bricks; i seem to have a lot, strangely...
-
Yea, thats true. Im thinking something like the holiday train one?
-
Maybe... kinda want to build some sort of freight car as i only have one. I've got enough passenger cars as it is.
-
I've already got that one... Plus i dont have enough grey bricks to make a decent one.

Hi all, I've been snooping around lately and have decided to officially join the discussion! (WARNING! NEW MEMBER ALERT! WARNING!) I built this custom train base and i'm not sure what to do with it... Ive got a fairly meager supply of bricks, but enough to have 6 bins (plus track). The base is 6 wide by 28 long and dark bley. Pics: https://flic.kr/ps/2WPsUG (sorry for the poor lighting) ((yes those are some mocs in the background, more to come later when they are [more] done ))
