Very happy man but sad wallet! Misb heaven :)
detjensrobert replied to davidmull's topic in LEGO Train Tech
What's the deal with buying "MISB" sets (Mint In Sealed Box?) sets if you're just going to build them? It seems that it would make more sense to buy sets with a banged-up or even no box for building. To me, at least, MISB sets seem like investments: buy now, sell later for a higher price. Just my 2 cents. --Cheers, Robert -
BNSF GE Evo ES44DC Locomotive in 7 wide.
detjensrobert replied to legoman666's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thats when you use 2 of them! -
Cool! The wheels for the Lego wheelsets don't line up evenly with bricks though, so it would be harder to adapt it for L-gauge. That's weird that Brickshelf is blocked, its not blocked by our school (Flickr isn't either). .

Possible battery issues and PF query
detjensrobert replied to LegoMavrick's topic in LEGO Train Tech
The problem with some battery boxes is that the holes in the plastic for the positive terminals on the battery (the side with the bump) are not big enough for the bumps on the battery. . -
 Looks good! .

detjensrobert replied to Dutchiedoughnut's topic in LEGO Train Tech
You might even consider using 2 M motors, if you can squeeze 'em in. -

I would try to not use the PF Train Motor with Large drivers, for you will have little torque and excessively high speed. Try using a PF Medium motor geared to the wheels instead. Just my 2 cents though... -

Simple track set up 6x3 foot space only.
detjensrobert replied to davidmull's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Only thing that might be a problem is the flextrack. I'd advise replacing it with straight track, if you can. . -
Probably, if it is a website. I know there is a BBC cable TV channel, but I've never heard of "lplayer" here in the States. .

Massive 10 lego train frontal crash
detjensrobert replied to AlmightyArjen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Thats true, the engine was a bit weird... but it was easy to MOD it onto its own (longer) car. Sadly, i have since disassembled said train for pieces, so no pics. -

Will you show us how the hoppers work? -
There always seemed to be a degree of similarity between Minecraft and Legos... I've ridden in the engine you talk about (in Minecraft, obviously ). This is a very nice representation of said loco! Two thumbs up!

Massive 10 lego train frontal crash

I happen to like the 4560 (it was my first lego train, so definitely no bias here ) It was very modern and sleek.
