  1. I picked up the Jungle Rescue Base mainly as a parts pack, but also thought it could be modded into a decent City style set. The main changes were color schemes and figures, but the animals had to change as well: Panda became Crocodile Iguana became Snake Parrot became different parrot Monkey became different monkey Frog got to stay, along with the bugs. The idea for the figures was a pair of scientists in casual back country clothes and a park ranger with a tranquilizer gun there to make sure they stay safe from the wildlife. I had to get rid of that garish slide, it wouldn't work in any color. This was a pet peeve for me in the original set. This nice little toilet shack only gets half a roof! Had to fix that. This reminds me a bit of the toilet where the lawyer gets eaten in the original Jurassic Park.
  2. Some of the sets are up on S@H. http://shop.lego.com...-Catapult-70311 http://shop.lego.com...a-Smasher-70313 http://shop.lego.com...il-Mobile-70316 http://shop.lego.com...e-Fortrex-70317 http://shop.lego.com...ng-s-Mech-70327 That's not really accurate. They come out Jan 1st. Some stores have put them out early.
  3. Its the show version of Jestro's staff, which is made of multiple pieces in actual LEGO form: http://cache.lego.com/e/dynamic/is/image/LEGO/70316_alt6?op_sharpen=1&resMode=sharp2&fmt=swf3&fit=constrain,1&wid=2400&hei=1800
  4. While there is no guarantee we will get those figures, I fully expect the villains to change from lava monsters in subsequent years. A corrupted forest is perhaps my favorite way that could go. An underworld / cave realm would also be great. Even a cliched ice world could be good if it involved some warg like creatures.
  5. They're watermarked confidential, hence they are not "official" as in finalized and officially released. They're also not nearly full resolution.
  6. Sticker book images from 4chan: Translation: A Moldy Case Mushlord and his forest people have the set the knights a trap. Has he made the biggest mistake of his life? Finish the story with stickers. The swamp people are pretty neat. But people on 4chan point out there was a lot of stuff in Ninjago sticker books that never got turned into LEGO. The evil looking armor stickers are interesting too.
  7. Thanks for the compliments! Older fire had nubs on the bottom that fit in the "nooks" in the flame, allowing you to chain them. A few years ago the mold changed and these nubs are no longer present. Thanks. I did take the concept of the Hellmouth from Buffy of course, as both a place where a lot of dark magic coalesces and a place where there are literal snake demons ready to burst out of the ground. I would like to make an actual Buffy MOC at some point.
  8. Usually that's how its supposed to work, but items have come back from Sold Out before.
  9. Really nice telehandler with well integrated features. Its great that you provide the instructions. I saw a similar Manitou operating once when I was traveling in France, mostly there are JLGs around where I live.
  10. Yea honestly a generic shield with just wood grain and metal bands would be really nice. An actual knight may have had a detailed painted shield but there would have been lots of men at arms with cheaper utilitarian shields. But maybe I'll just have to try and make a sticker. It is good to get the new large kite shield in dark gray though.
  11. Its definitely rubbery. He's a nice fig but I'm not crazy about the red and green combo.
  12. When the new religion came to the land many pagan shrines were built over with churches. In dark days some of these sites fell into disrepair. A pair of bold necromancers have tapped into the ancient power of the old gods that lie buried beneath the surface...
  13. Beautiful build, amazing!
  14. There are plenty of people selling medieval building instructions on ebay. I can't personally say which are good, but there are options. Making instructions for a MOC that was not originally built with LDD is quite a bit of effort, so you may not have a lot of luck with asking about people's MOCs.
  15. Nexo Knights, Elves, the Brick Bank, Friends camping sets.
  16. If you're going for a retro style with 4 wide cars, then 6 wide would work. But if you're going to have 5 or 6 wide cars as is typical these days then I'd say definitely 8. If it was an official set it would be 8.
  17. There is no way to know, its entirely dependent on how fast they sell. My advice is don't wait if you really want the sets.
  18. Glinching sounds like splinching from Harry Potter (failed aperation), and it looks like the results are similar. These are great for creating The Thing like monsters.
  19. There are very high resolution pictures of them and they absolutely look printed. Here: http://i.imgur.com/TVHt7rh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/kCwJdA2.jpg http://i.imgur.com/8Zl7oP9.jpg
  20. Actually sorry I didn't check the exclusives the first time. Target will carry 70324 Merlok’s Library 2.0 - 204-00-1605. The other two aren't in their database. The Ultimates follow the library starting with 70330 Clay - 204-00-1606 etc.
  21. There are also lots of chrome pieces available on bricklink from some sellers who specialize in chroming LEGO.
  22. The difference is that in almost all circumstances the LEGO sets will come back in stock and you'll have more time. The main exceptions being some seasonal sets and older ideas sets.
  23. Nevermind, thanks for the confirmation.
  24. I don't see any stores that are stocking them yet, but when people want to start checking their Target inventories here are the DPCI numbers: 70130 Knighton Disc Launchers - 204-00-1597 70311 Chaos Catapult - 204-00-1598 70312 Lance's Robo Horse - 204-00-1599 70313 Moltor's Lava Launcher - 204-00-1600 70314 Beast Master's Chaos Chariot - 204-00-1601 70315 Clay's Blade Cruiser - 204-00-1602 70316 Jestro's Companions of Darkness - 204-00-1603 70317 The Fortrex - 204-00-1604 70324 Merlok’s Library 2.0 - 204-00-1605 70330 Ultimate Clay - 205-00-1606 and so on for the rest of the ultimates BTW brickset had shown $8 for the two smaller sets, well Target shows $10 so I'm guessing that is the MSRP as originally thought.
  25. From what I can tell by looking through bricklink, this new version is only guaranteed to be released in purple. Its possible that the "Serious Play" set 2000430 has the new version in black, but I doubt many of those have been parted out and I can't tell for sure from the stock pictures of it. The next older set is the Vampyre Castle in 2012 and that has the old version in black.
