Sorry for some reason I thought her hair was darker.
-
Thanks for all the kind comments! Don't worry I did the same thing at first.

The dark orange hair is a recolor of Black Widow's hair. The green torso appeared in 2015 (for example the city beach buggy and truck)

I've been watching the black friday ads and here are the deals for the major US chains: Target: $55 each for Arctic Base Camp, Bike shop and Cafe, and TLM Police Dropship. Walmart: $30 for 1500 piece classic brick tower. ToysRUs: 30% off all Ultra Agents sets, Wave 3 sets are pictured in the ad.
-
So TRU is doing 30% off all ultra agents sets for black friday. I haven't been to my local store recently but I would guess they'd get at least some in stock for the sale. Last year when they had 50% off Galaxy Squad I was able to easily pick up a couple sets so might be worth checking out.

Wow amazing deals, I think would've gone for the Ewok Village.
-
Wow, clever technique with the wedge plates on top.

This MOC was a quick build while waiting for bricklink orders on some other projects. I've been wanting to make a home for my CMF Egyptian warriors. Fun fact, there are a lot of PAB wall parts in this build: tan 2x2 tiles, 1x2 brick with studs on one side, 1x4 brick, 2x8 plate, and also the bamboo.

Zanki if you used your VIP points and got a survey afterwards be sure to let them know the wall wasn't good. I don't know if it makes a difference but they do seem to read it as I get a response if I complain about something.

The camp sets look like a good source of natural colors for historical building. I haven't seen the price for the biggest camp set, looks like around $60-80?

LEGO Technic or City
Vorkosigan replied to Richard Dower's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Some of the suggested sets (the cranes particularly) do have "functions" as well as using some technic parts. I can see where Richard is coming from. -
I think given that the shields are often unique to each set it probably wouldn't make sense to print them. I think the blank shields are more useful anyway.,

The Starlight Inn looks good, not too much pink/purple except for the door which is easily swapped. I'm disappointed in the secret marketplace though. I was picturing something more like Diagon Alley but smaller. The green dragon in that set is the most appealing to me of the Elve's dragons. I expect final pictures will make these all look better.

[NORTH AMERICA] Fan Favorite LEGO Elements For Sale in LBR
Vorkosigan replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yea thanks for the pic. These are all elements I've seen on the wall before. Tiles are good, but purple? And I'd rather see 1x1 with 1 stud on the side than 4 studs. I hope they step this up with more unique pieces in the future. -
A truly minifig scale Sydney Opera House would be the size of a car and cost just as much.
-
Yes its the same style as common wall calendars. 2015 had renders of minifigures in seasonal settings. 2014 was more varied:

Disney Princess 2016 Rumors and Discussion
Vorkosigan replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
I still don't see the new frozen sets on S@H. Looks like the Nov 1st rumor was a bust. Has anyone seen them for sale? -
When goes shop.lego.com stock new items?
Vorkosigan replied to badbob001's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I don't think they are consistent about it. I remember there was a lot of complaints last January 1st about how things didn't become available to purchase till midday in the US, and even then showed out of stock (inaccurately in many cases). -
None of the supposed Nov 1st items have been added in the US site either.
-
While its quite possible we will see stores putting them out early, its not correct to say that Jan 1st is "not the actual release date." Lots of sets are released on January 1st every year, this is not new. Given that this is a big bang theme I think they might actually try to stand tall on the release date more than most, but that could go either way.

Disney Princess 2016 Rumors and Discussion
Vorkosigan replied to Amazing Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
So has there been any confirmation of a release date? There was some talk earlier of these actually coming out this year instead of January 1st... Also I can't believe I never thought of the possibility of orange unicorn horns as carrots. -
Has anyone been to the Bridgewater NJ or San Antonio, TX stores and see what the new "fan favorite" pieces are on the wall?

My order from a LegoShop@Home is missing a set...
Vorkosigan replied to Archidelic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I had an order with 3 sets where only one set was correct and the other two were totally unrelated sets of a similar size. I had to send them back and they sent the replacements. Was a bit annoyed they didn't offer any VIP points or give an extra freebie after having to wait another week. Probably needed to complain more. -
Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
Vorkosigan replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That headpiece looks good but the ears seem a bit large.
