    I don't have any yellow, but I do still have several dark gray parrots from 80s/90s castle sets. I didn't include them because I always assumed they represented falcons or crows. It would be nice to get some updated representations of those types of birds, other than just the Lone Ranger crow. Its interesting to see there is a good bit of marbled support!

    Having recently built a few 2015 pirates sets, I got my hands on the marbled two color parrot for the first time (I don't have any 2009 sets). To me this version doesn't quite have the appeal of the long running red printed parrot, but I was wondering what the consensus was. Face/beak printing on the marbled parrot is something I'd like to see. Vote for your favorite!

    Nice build. The interior and the forest are nicely detailed. I like the use of the huge axe piece as decoration.

    http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7167&st=0 Soak in peroxide + Oxyclean powder, put it in the sun for a day in the solution. Rinse and dry. Be careful with colors, they can be whitened too much and fade.

    Take it with a grain of salt but it seems to me that the ultimates get low on stock except for beast master. I have been to several stores that had 1 or none of most ultimates with spaces where they should be. Purely anecdotal and not statistically significant of course...

    Yes as others said I saw unusually bare LEGO sections in all the major chains. Walmart was particularly desolate. There was also substantially less after Christmas LEGO clearance (except Bionicle).

    Some great figures this series, the faun especially. The only one I wanted that I didn't get during my first time at Target was the animal control girl. Waited till they restocked and was amazed at how easy they are to find with that huge net. Don't even need to feel, you can see the bulge. Grabbed two for the skunks, but honestly the printing on the fig is really great too with the raccoon badge. Only thing is it makes me wish we got a raccoon with her! The skunk is very nice though. Tempting to make an animal control van for them.

    This was a fairly difficult build because of the round tower. I call it modular in the sense that each floor can be removed easily to access the interior. My goal was to portray this small island as a reasonably comfortable place to live for the couple that maintains the signal fire. Here we see the process for winching the charcoal up to the storage room right below the top of the tower. A vegetable garden has been cultivated to supplement the preserved foods and fish available to the residents. A trap door leads into the hidden cove where a boat is stored. Here are the floors from top to bottom:

    There are plenty of Castle 2013 parts available on bricklink for reasonable prices so your final sentence is quite exaggerated.

    The thing that infuriates me about this is the figures that have yellow hands and they didn't bother to swap them to flesh. Its like they don't know anything about LEGO.

    New types of figures is a good thing for expanding possibilities. The scurriers are quite cool, squirebots are less my thing personally but I still appreciate their design.

    Really you have to check everywhere to find a deal. Amazon can be a good option sometimes, but for example Silver Mine Shootout is available for $54 with free shipping on ebay, so even though its MSRP on Amazon that isn't the best price.

    The question is can people buy in bulk and get a discount for quantity. Buying at PAB online prices when you're getting many thousands of one part in one color is absurd.

    Nice build, I like the dark green roof and overall style. One suggestion though in my opinion the chimney would look better if it came out a brick from the wall instead of being flush.

    So I have gotten 3 fauns so far (on purpose) and 2 of them are missing the flute. Bummer since they won't send replacement parts.

    That has 8 figs if you count the snowman. 6 more minifigs for $10 sounds like a deal to me.

    39.99 is very likely, and its not ridiculous. Its 14 figs, a dog and a baby, plus the minibuilds. Its almost equivalent to 4 starter packs, which are a notoriously good deal.

    The demon lava monsters have long reminded me of this kingdom from Heroes of Might and Magic III: And Jestro's castle fits pretty well into that vibe. It'd be nice if we had gotten some demon dog / Cerberus type animals.

    Perhaps, but you really need to use a tool like Brickficiency. You will end up buying from many more stores than you need to if you are manually trying to find the right combination.
