  1. You've got to be kidding me!!! Did you build under a microscope? It sure is as tight as it gets. Fantastic achievement! If 8275 would've had little baby bulldozers, that would be one of them ;-) This is really remarkable - to even pursue the idea of puting three cylinders in something so small is a courageous feat, succeeding at it - genious. Well done, very well done!
  2. I'm just building Effermans masterpiece at the moment (step 39) This is no MOD at all!!! This is pure MOC with some dimension and colour constraints. A real masterpiece and whole lot more complex than I have imagined! Efferman - YOU ARE A GENIOUS!!!!!  "PRO" tag easily for this guy! Best regards and respect, miha EDIT: Finished the build. For the gearboxes I used "normal" white 3L axle connector + rubber 2L connector (damper), as used in instructions. I think it functions very well, although the levers must be turned with some extra force in order to overcome the rubber 2L connector, which I found was necessary to use, or the gearbox would be difficult to set to neutral. I am also very pleased with the instructions. Efferman really put a lot of effort into dividing them in easy-to-follow steps. I wouldn't recommend using the LDD's building guide mode, as it is a lot harder to recognize parts from previous steps. In each step just enough bricks are added, so you don't get to confused. One minor comment would be, that it would be even better if all pieces from previous step would be grouped in order to be shot off for better view. I guess that would mean a whole lot of extra work... Another thing to point out is cable routing, as it took me a while to "studiy" how it woud best suit my point of view regarding controls and receiver, so I didn't follow nstructions by Effe, but routed the cables in my own way. Thanks again to Efferman, it really has been a great build! Now it really screams for some nice trailer, which hopefully, I will build by myself :-) Cheers!
  3. @efferman: Thanks for your explanation. I guess I'll try it anyway and learn the hard way as I'm not to fond of grinding bricks :-)
  4. Hi efferman, thanks for the instructions! Why is it necessary to use that rare Porche part or a smoothed white 3 L connector for the switching gears? Will the functions not work if the gearbox is "locked/clicked" in its final positions? Again, hat off for such a great MOD! Best regards, miha
  5. Fantastic build my friend and instantly recognizable! Ewok Village is really awesome! Good luck with the competition!
  6. Looks great! Very representative dedpite the small scale. Which tracks will you use? I also admire the color vomit prototyping, as I cannot build this way, so I guess I'm loosing time getting it right for the first time, but have to redo it anyway :-)
  7. Finally managed to build this beauty - such a fantastic model really deserves such a great review. I am totaly blown away by building techniques used here and am pretty sure I can call this one my favourite. The only downer here would be quite noticeable shades of lime, especialy amongst diferent types of beams and liftarms, as Jim already pointed out. Thx again Jim for making the waiting for getting this set much more bearable :-)
  8. I never thought it would be so responsive! Amazing job! Now for some nice makeup and you'll have one hard-to-beat entry!
  9. Excellent!!! I love it! I think you nailed the contest topic perfectly. You're also very fast! Good luck!
  10. For 80€ only? Highly doubt it.
  11. Did you sell a kidney?! Aren't those worth quite some greens???
  12. Thanks for the review! Do you find using this set as a GBC module possible or not?
  13. Those are wheels you're talking about, the hubs are the part you attach the wheel to, and yes they seem to be the same part as used in Porsche.
  14. You should've found a bigger carpark, or an airfield ;-) It seems you were running to fast as there were some nasty crashes against those walls. Did anything brake? How about the tires (offtopic I know) - any noticeable wear?
  15. Nice car and really good performance! What's up with you chasing it?
  16. Those tires and red rims are pure LEGO porn!!! Can't wait to get my hands on them :-)
  17. I believe there are 2x1 bricks with fixed pin used, so the same orientation of the pins is the same. Nonetheless, great and huge module and good exercise of probability maths. Did it ever occur, that the ball didn't land in the white zone?
  18. Thanks Flandy, that was hilarious! :-) Even Rocly had a montage :-D Yes, I guess this could be used to create a montage, unfortunately, I doubt I'll find time and will to try it... But, if I did, I would definetly end it with a fade out ;-)
  19. @Flandy: I am sorry but I'm not quite sure what you mean with this montage thing :-)
  20. "The force is with you, young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet. You have only begun to discover your power. Join me, and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy." There, some heavy breathing from Lord Vader for intro I'm more of a lurker in this parts of the forum (mostly I built with Technic) but since my pocket sponsored a couple of SW sets in the past few months, my fingers got kinda itchy and I just had to build something SW-themed. As you can see I started small, but it was a lot of fun - this is the first time I tried to put together some greebling of my own and I really like this SNOT stuff too At first it all started as just a minifig treadmill, but then I decided to coat it with a bit of a parody on the Death Star Final duel scene/set, which, as you can see, donated most of the parts. Of course, me being a Technic guy, I couldn't resist using some Technic parts - the stickers on the treadmill are from set 42032 :-) And that energy glow behing the column is not PS magic, I actually managed to get the PF LEDs back there. A few more photos to break my SW ice... Thanks in advance for you comments, praise, rants and gossip. Best regards, Miha
  21. Fantastic looks and colour scheme. I really am looking forward to see the steering mechanism. Oh, and I must urge my grandma to start building one asap. Seems that me and her are one of the last people who haven't build a telehandler yet :-)
  22. I like the original colour scheme best! You really captured the looks of the original perfectly and the steering linkage is fantastic, well so are the trunk and the bonnet. It is really interesting how good it looks without panels. How long did it take you to build it?
  23. Thanks, cool mechanism. Was it the same principle in the movie as well?
  24. Excuse my ignorance, what is this exactly, some sort of weapon? Does it open instantly, like with a trigger or something or do you have to manualy extend each point?
  25. Interesting solution, indeed it is really strong. I tried it out with two axles without any support ("in the air") and I fear the rotatiton is quite jerky. I wonder how it would work at higher RPM.
