  1. GW Tiger with 17cm 1/15 (RC)

  2. I did some more work on the chassis, now it has the tracks. I might not be able to put a transmission into it because of space problems and this model will probably be one of my heaviest models yet. Lego GW Tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  3. some progress on the suspension, I experimented with a different type of suspension than torsion bars. It allows for decreasing the distance between road wheels by 1 stud. Lego GW Tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr Lego GW Tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  4. The Geschützwagen Tiger or GW Tiger was a prototype artillery piece designed by Germany durning WWII, It was never finished. IT was based off of a Tiger II with a lengthened hull to support a 17cm or 21cm field guns. Here are some possible plans for my model of it Functions -transmission -lowering of rear stabilizing "foot" (will probably use a cam action to lower it then have further rotation will lower it vertically and put resistance on the ground -breech recoiling along with some horizontal movement of the gun carriage backwards (when "fired" the gun carriage will move back 8 studs? then the breech will recoil back 2 studs.) It's not the round thing("gong" as WOT players would call it) on the back, I won't have that on the model because thats for removing the gun rails back. -engine bay like in my tiger I so here are the blueprints of the vehicle after they have been scaled by Sariel's scaler. 5. I like the preliminary version of the model better, they really messed up the front on the new revision of it. Though it will be interesting to see someone put a couple RC motors on there.
  6. cool project, use it to produce a airforce of paper airplanes.
  7. I will probably postponing this build, until I can get proper parts for the roadwheels. This means this build will be pushed back to january or february. Here's an idea I saw for roadwheels that would work perfectly for my model in both the E8 and E2 versions. 1:15 Scale Sherman Easy Eight WIP by Daniel Siskind, on Flickr So since I won't be building this model until later on, I have some models that could be built with my current supply of parts. 8. I'm fine without prizes too, a mini RC contest would be cool, maybe build a tiny trial truck (maybe have different size limits based on number of axles) or maybe a contest that would be only tracked vehicles. I really enjoyed the past model team contest, it is fun to see what others have come up with. I'm not too fond of part limits, a size limit seems to be best, it doesn't inhibit creativity as much as a part limit, it's also somewhat frustrating to have to take apart a model to count each part.
  9. I am wondering what file has the color pallet in bricksmith, because the dark bley looks similar to light bley. they look similar on the model, thus leading to wrongly colored parts in model instructions. Here's a example of how close they are, the 6x6 dishes on the front are the wrong color because of the small difference between dark bley (the dishes are dark bley) and the rest of the model is in light bley. 10. Well here's some progress on the vehicle, the transmission is complete, though I might change the final drive ratio to a 1:3 instead of the current one because it nearly doubles the output torque. 11. 2. Renault FT-17 Tank Functions -Removable hatches to access interior -working suspension -tail can be lowered -rotatable turret with interior Topic http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=99662
  12. I made some more decals for other versions of the vehicle, the image is configured so it is the same size as standard printer paper. I may be adding more decals to this. Lego Renaut FT-17 decals by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  13. Here's some pictures of the gearbox used for the Renault, I probably won't be making instructions for this because of the technical faults in the model. 14. the motorized model wasn't really planed in the initial model I came up with the final drives in about 30 minutes. I wouldn't consider this to be a decent RC model without making modifications to the suspension and frontal idler wheel. The hatches aren't likely to shift or come loose unless the model is shaken vigorously.
  15. here's a gun that uses them for propelling projectiles. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/130875 I don't really think that those springs would be sufficient enough to cause damage, a brick shooting gun like Xubor's mini thriller or any of jack streat's weapons are very effective for causing damage to stuff, I used to build guns, brick shooters are very powerful a typical range of these types of guns are around 25-45 ft. 1x4 or1x6 bricks deliver quite a punch, if you use larger size parts they will tend to spin in mid air, thus causing less damage and being inaccurate. Also this will be interesting to see how this progresses, will the city be constructed out of solid brick-built buildings ?
  16. I made a video of it and motorized the model
  17. here's some instructions for it, it will be on rebrickable too, it's missing the tracks, chains and cord, I'm not sure how well this model will work in ldd, some parts are clipping through other parts on the turret. http://bricksafe.com/files/Tommy_styrvoky/Lego%20Renault%20Ft-17.ldr a decal sheet will be made for it too and maybe some customizations for it, a FT with MG, and I am working on a RC conversion too.

  19. Finally I am finished with the build, Instructions, Youtube video, and mocpages page will be coming twomorrow... I think that this model came out great for not being a motorized build, it has all of the functions and compartments of the real vehicle. Without the motors it allowed me to fully exploit the interior of the model and it allowed me to try new techniques and this is my first moc to use custom made stickers. I had some fun editing the main photo for this build, hopefully this is "kickass" as jim said. 20. I have some progress on the instructions, they are nearly complete, all thats left to add is the turret, upper panels, engine and tail. It should be done tomorrow or tuesday. the finished product will be released on one of those days. The model consisits of 715 parts, hopefully there aren't any duplicate parts in there.
