  1. I forgot to mention that both of the hatches open up, the one on the right (mg side) controls the main power switch, the left hatch houses controls for the lights.
  2. The engine deck is covered up, all thats left is some sloped parts on the sides and the rear/ fighting compartment. it should be finished this weekend, I have no school on monday, so I will probably be shooting a vid and photos on that day. Lego GW tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  3. the suspension looks interesting. It's a cool concept how it makes the other axle dependent when the one of the axles is compressed.
  4. get some string from a set and use that for the counterweight, with a gear ratio.
  5. I finally have some progress on the frontal armor and engine deck. It seems that there isn't enough space for a engine so I won't be adding that, instead the space will be taken up by a battery box. 6. Im guessing the rubber band is used for the feed mechanism or or to hold cables together or maybe to keep some plates fastened together.
  7. The dishes seem to hold up fine when turning the vehicle, though the axles seem to flex somewhat because of the weight.this vehicle is quite slow to traverse because of the long and large amount of ground contact with the tracks.
  8. i can fix the gun length, its probably about 2-3studs short of length, the main problem is keeping the gun rigid because of the recoiling function .
  9. Is it ok to edit photos, cleaning up edges/ lighting/ text for name? (basically anything that doesn't alter lego parts or colors of parts in the image.) also would It be ok to have transparent parts "glow" ( like the eyes)?
  10. More progress on the sides of the fighting compartment, the gun was lengthened by 2 studs, the hull MG was added to the frontal plate. The gun traversing mechanism and oldham coupling were removed because of it raising the gun carriage up too high. (it was also not historically correct with the vehicle.) 11. The prices seem to be way too high, the models look alright. The colors and shaping could be improved with the use of studded parts and The colors are kind of random on the hull and turret.
  12. GW Tiger with 21 cm 1/15 (RC)

  13. I added the traverse mechanism with a oldham coupling to support the rear structure of the gun carriage. There won't be anymore updates for this week, as I will be on vacation. Lego GW tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr Lego GW tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  14. Here's some more progress on the gun carriage of the 21cm mrs 18, it was lowered to fit the profile of the tank, i'm also working on the gun traverse. 15. For the forth week have them build a robot to accomplish a certain task( without any building instructions or maybe give them a chassis to start with), with the concepts they have been taught. That may lead to some innovative ideas
  16. There's the lithium battery, though it goes for $50 and it only delivers 7V of power, compared to 9V battery box. If they created a new battery box, it would require tooling new molds and they would have to create new electronic components. There is a demand for new PF parts, though lego is slow to produce them. Like the XL and M motors coming out then a few years later lego decides to add on the L motor and Servo motor to the PF series. It's also odd how they haven't produced a S motor or XXL motor to go along with the current line of motors. here's the rechargeable battery box https://shop.educati...pleSearch=false
  17. This beast is getting heavy, I may have to further change the gear ratios on the final drives. a video of almost all of the functions (minus the gun traverse) https://flic.kr/p/piH9dH
  18. Here's some more progress on the hull, next will be the engine bay and the recoil rails and traverse ring for cannon. The Stabilizing "foot" works, though it didn't have to be as complex as I thought it had to be. It uses a worm gear instead of LAs because I was using small LAs and they didn't have a long enough travel to rotate the "foot" the proper distance. 19. I agree with this, I don't plan to build any sort of vehicles that were designed to purposely eradicate civilians. though I do have eventually planned to create a 1/35 RC Landkreuzer P.1000 Ratte
  20. I personally don't look at tanks and see them as in a combat zone, but more like any other vehicle. I focus on the Innovative concepts that were created to improve the vehicle. If you look at the sheer difference between interwar vehicles and the ones at the end of the war (not to mention all of the prototype vehicles). WWII shaped armored warfare, thus there are plenty of vehicles to choose from. That Is why I usually build vehicles from WWII, and because I enjoy learning about the history behind them. Have a look at the Karl with 60cm howitzer
  21. some small bits of progress on the frontal plate, it's missing the MG mount. Lego GW Tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr Lego GW Tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  22. the chassis is now it the proper length, I may be changing the cannon to a 21 cm because the barrel is bending because of length. Lego GW Tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  23. This vehicle was built off of a Tiger II or King tiger chassis, with the addition of 2 more road wheels. You forgot to add the Karl morser or the Landkreuzer p.1500 with the Dora gun. Also I do have far future plans to build some of those vehicles.
  24. I shortened the distances between the 10th, and 11th road wheels and the distance with the Idler wheel was shortened too. Motors were added to it too. Lego GW Tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr Lego GW Tiger 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr I might change some of the ratios for increased torque and here's a video of the vehicle in motion
