  1. Lego Sdkfz. 9 FAMO 18T 1/15 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr some progress on it, i'm doubting that I will be making a crane version due to the lack of proper length of string and It will be cool to get the rear shovels of one of the traditional FAMO's for towing artillery. It seems to work very well with steering (very wide arc for turning it) I have to mount the steering motor and make the front axle sprung. The power it puts out is surprising ( I wish I had enough parts to have kept my Tiger together to pull, but a few tubs of legos will work just as well ; the 2 XLs put out around 140 N cm and my Tiger only had 80 N cm of power. ( it would take 3 of these halftracks to pull 1 tiger in real life) I guess I will leave the crane variant for you Milan
  2. yeah, this forum seems to be a great place( more interesting conversations than on Mocpages)also, welcome to Eurobricks.
  3. no military catagory ? :(
  4. all of my vehicles are based off of real vehicles that were designed or built in real life I have built a tank that does shoot projectiles but if I were to implement that on this vehicle it would either have a oversized barrel or the tank would have to be massive to meet the scale of the barrel. most of my vehicles are designed to create a detailed replica with the basic functions of the vehicle. here's a image of the actual vehicle with the tracks removed.

  6. cool, our team did very well, but there was some problems with the judging in the final rounds, a alliance that was eliminated in previous rounds got the chance to re-do the match and they won. Our alliance faced them in the semifinals and we lost, but there was a judging error with a foul so we could have gone on; It was very frustrating.
  7. Yeah i do play WOT occasionally , but right now i am unable to play because of my computer. It gives me more time to focus on these builds.
  8. the breech recoils back half a stud but it's barely noticeable, the problem I am having is that if I try to recoil it back further the casing of the round won't eject fully.
  9. here is the finalized version of the working breech with recoil+ casing ejection. https://www.flickr.com/photos/100480897@N07/14833028726/
  10. I will be converting this into a T28 prototype with a turret and working breech.
  11. There isn't too much slack, it's from the width of the vehicle and there is a problem with the rear sprocket driving it, it tends to jam and bend the tracks in between that or into where the last road wheel is thus usually breaking the track. So I had quite a few times where I was recording and a track would come off and then I would pull the outer tracks.
  12. its now been 1 year for me a build to celebrate it has been added to my collection , The T28/T95 Super Heavy Tank
  13. Lego T28/T95 Super Heavy Tank 1/20 (RC) by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr Well here it is another superheavy tank completed and 1 year for posting MOC's on the internet It features fully sprung suspended road wheels, removable outer sponsons, gun elevation and traverse. more photos and information here http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/394186 A fun fact about how many parts are invested in the suspension and tracks alone totals over 1000 parts consisting of 16 springs, 64 road wheels, 16 return rollers, and 16 24z gears. 14. my other hobbies besides building Building 1/35 model armor cycling music (clarinet, tenor sax, piano) gaming (World of Tanks,MInecraft) here's some of the more recent armor that I have built. 1/35 Tiger I final version by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr 1/35 A39 Tortoise by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr 1/35th SturmTiger by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  15. Nice progress so far, what scale is it gonna be? For control surfaces maybe worm gears or pneumatics or string.
  16. Nice compact build, it reminds me of the technic set that TLG released a while ago.
  17. you could get one of efferman's custom air tanks from shapeways small http://www.shapeways.com/model/1894197/air-reservoir-small.html?modelId=1894197&materialId=62 large http://www.shapeways.com/model/1891116/air-reservoir.html?modelId=1891116&materialId=62
  18. With technic models would they be considered mostly composed of studless technic parts or could a technic model be a model with the same functions of it's technic counterpart but with a studed system shell? Also would Power Functions parts affect it ?
  19. looks cool, probably not the most comfortable ride though , just combine that body with this engine and chassis and you would have a real car.
  20. thats what i was thinking on doing, except the only problem is the suspension and driveline don't have any cv joints...
  21. Yeah I have some thoughts but for sure it won't be possible with u joints.
  22. • Turtles containing or depicting military vehicles or weapons will not be eligible for the competition does this mean a turtle can't be mechlike with rockets ? or is it applying to building specifically a gun or military vehicle (tank ect.)
  23. I'm planning to build a M1070 HET and for the front and rear wheels need to be steered as well as driven, the front too. The axles will be 12 studs long and will have 52x26 wheels on them and all 8 axles will be driven by a Xl motor. is this possible to accomplish ?
