  1. All is fantastic Splendid idea and execution, i like the fish a lot. However, Sauron will be after her, TWO rings of power - irresistible.
  2. A fine vessel that fits both the 'regular' LEGO universe and that of BoBS. Approved!
  3. What a lovely ship I have the strong urge to cuddle her... hope pirates don't get that, too Many rather unconventional techniques, such as the yards, ratlines and the hull itself, but to me it totally works out. I really like the copper roofing and your attention to detail. Great, clean build and on top of that a equally nice presentation. Keep it up!
  4. Just a reminder: Those Oleanders wanting to participate in this month's MCRA in an royal orderly fashion and have their ships protected by the Royal Fleet don't forget to have your ships registered and send Oleon Leadership a private message to get added to the latest "Private Message Thread" and coordinate our efforts! Vive le Roi!
  5. Another question about the YMCA... MCRA... or is it MRCA?!? No, that wasn't the question, it's this: Can I mix ships of different speed in one escorted convoy? The following scenario: I have three trade ships and two escorts available. The traders A and B are speed 2, the trader C is speed 3. The Escort X is a speed 2, the escort Y is a speed 3. I could easily make up two separate convoys, one at speed 2, one at speed 3. But can I create a two stage convoy, in which both escorts protect all traders up to port 2, and subsequently escort Y protects the remaining trader C up to the final port 3? The rules list this 'different speed' issue, but I'm not sure if this scenario would be covered... and I'd prefer not to mess things up. And if this works, how would that translate to the webform? Would I have to set up a trade mission for all traders up to port 3, with the slower two 'dropping out' automatically at port 2, and then apply the same pattern (including naming all ships to be protected) to the escort mission of both escort ships?
  6. Clean build, nice textures, lovely wooden panels, furniture, carpet... even two green monkeys This clearly deserves an approval
  7. Thank you, Bregir, for answering so quickly and detailed. Very much appreciated
  8. Instant like and wooooow. Love the idea of the build itself, and the execution is very well done. Especially the wall pattern with its imperfections, colors and half-stud offset. The Corrington banderole is a nice touch, also. Keep it up!
  9. Thanks Puvel, and yes, monkeys are a necessity. Monkey might even have final say Steal all you like, that's what I did also... it's quite a common feature over in GoH. Ha, if he trips, monkey has some laugh Thanks, Faladrin. Although the boat design is not really new. DPW might have come up with a first version? Good thing about this design is that you can adapt it to quite a few sizes. Thanks a lot, Titus Thank you. The rudder is this cleaver. Thanks, Kai. Yes, monkeyyyy Thanks, Captain. Lunch is important, and a little cheese and baguette, well... Oleon, right?! Something more, just to show a funny difference between building with real bricks and building digitally: You know what took the longest in this build and what I'm the most proud of? Well, it's not the boat, that was quickly assembled. It was the placing of the little bag on top of the ship's wheel, just putting it in a 'natural' position
  10. Aaaaaand that's were wars come from *grabspopcorn* No, honestly, this trashtalk is vital part of the all of this here and such Good stuff!
  11. After a lot of reading there are still some things unclear to me - Introbuild: do I simply register it via the FB-registration form, as I didn't spott any 'This is my introbuild, give me DBs!!!'-like box to check, yet found some entries in the january FB-registration thread. Or will the leaders take care of that differentiation? - MCRA-builds: what's the official ruling now concerning eligibility? Ska mentioned somewhere they would be open to everyone, at least one per builder. But it wasn't official. I didn't participate in last month's MCRA, but could need the DBs, so I'd like to give it a shot. - Free licenses: are they 'upgradable'? I read somewhere that would be the case with property, but for ships? Can I MOC a ship and then use my free class 2 license (worth 100DB) plus pay X DB to register it as a higher class ship (for example +75DB for a class 3F)? If so, how does this translate into filling out the ship registration form? - Licenses in general: to what extend are they subject to trade? Are they fixed and 'player-bound' and cannot be transfered? Can they be up- and downgraded, or only upgraded via interaction with the 'bank' (=leaderboard, governments) for their fixed DB-value? Or are they open market goods, enabling a lot of economic mayhem later on in the EGS? It doesn't matter now, just for information, are there any thoughts on this or tendencies? Thanks for any input. And sorry if I missed some obvious info. More questions might follow

  13. Hi guys, I'd like to present my first freebuild here, for the glorious Empire of Oleon. It's a small shipyard in the vicinity of the city of Breshaun. Small shipbuilding facilities such as this one have sprung up in the dozens all over Le Bellan to meet the demand for ships these days. Although being simple stations without the grandeur and vivacity of the large 'Royal Shipyards', they are a vital part of Oleon's plans for expansion in the new world. In fact they are part of the 'Royal Shipyards' system and fulfill a dual purpose. Firstly they relieve the larger facilities from both construction and maintenance of smaller vessels, freeing the hands and minds of the master shipwrights there, enabling them to focus on the planning and execution of more capital ships. But in addition, these small stations are being led by dedicated junior shipwrights single-handedly as part of a teaching program. Those that excell in the duties thrusted upon them are awarded the status of master shipwright, thus increasing the shipbuilding potential of the nation even with sparse resources. Here's some more: Hope you guys like it, C&C welcome. Vive le Roi!
  14. Short answer here, great MOC, great composition, maybe for next time I'd wish for a little more 'imperfection' along the driveway, simply some sprinkled pieces of 'dirt'. Love the broken fence. Approved!
  15. Thanks, everyone Yeah, that's kind of where I started with digital building, to simply try out new techniques, back in the day for my 10210-MOD... but somehow I got stuck in this medium and haven't found my way out yet. One upside is that digital building is definitely better for one's fingernails
  16. Thanks, Titus. To be honest, I was still very much set on Eslandola, but seeing she was doing so well and equipped with such excellence, I'm sure she's in well caring hands. So off to where my blue heart truely lies. But I will still occasionally free-build for the old Gold-and-Green to strengthen diplomatic bonds.
  17. What a great ship, among the finest I've seen around here so far! I much like the classic shape and the fact such was achieved by adopting - as CB mentioned - a slope based approach, 'simple' and very effective. And the colors, I'm usually not a fan of fancy colors on ships, however your mix of gold, green and red I find splendid. It has 'Eslandola' written all over it. A true treasure galleon. Very authentic adaptation for the BoBS universe. May the winds and currents be ever in her favor! I approve with delight!
  18. Done! And thanks, the best, indeed Thanks, CD! Good times Indeed she did, always vigilant her credo would be 'Better dead than red!' Thanks a lot Kai. And be assured the bonds with Eslandola are not forgotten. Yäääs! More righteousness will follow
  19. Thanks for the welcoming, sure feels good to be here again A ridiculously overpowered Oleander farm cow? Sorry for going AWOL, any way to make it up to you? BTW, there's a lot of 'red' in 'wrong'... coincidence? I think not.
  20. Hi lads, it's been a while, but (hopefully) better late than never Since Eslandola is doing (a bit too) fine, let's do something 'bout that case of the Blues' bluesTM pending around here. I'd like to pledge my allegiance to the glorious Empire of Oleon. This guy is to be my sigfig, his name is Olivier Thibaut... ... and here you'll find a short introduction about him. So, I gotta continue reading now, need to figure out what to do next, and will surely annoy you with questions soon. Vive le Roi!
  21. Meet Olivier Thibaut. He is a farmer's boy, growing up in a remote, rural area of central Oleon. It's a quiet and beautiful place he calls his home, far away from all world's troubling affairs. But Olivier is 16 years of age, a young man, and although still a child at mind his dreams are big. He wants to be out there. He wants to see more of this world. However, Olivier is bound by his family's values and by regional traditions. 'Change' is not a favorite term of most. Yet ever since fantastic stories of new lands across the vast sea are spreading - along with rumors of all their promises, riches and adventures - all he can think of is travel - and new shores. What will the future hold for Olivier? Well, only time will tell. In fact... I will... but later Most of the freebuilds to follow will bare some connection to Olivier's story, be that by direct interaction, places visited or people met, although not from the beginning, since parts of his story are way older than the rules of BoBS, and now merging both 'worlds' will need a little time. Also, as you might guess, this is going to be an all digital approach to this venture. Rest assured however, that it is my personal challenge that everything could be build in real bricks unless stated otherwise. On that subject, in this build the tiny flag on the fort would not work, but could be replaced by a minifigure hand or whatnot. Oh, and here's a bird's view of that little scene. Thanks for watching, C&C welcome.
  22. May the studs be ever in your favor Splendid! May the studs be ever in your favor.
  23. My home is my forecastle.

  24. About time Welcome to EB, it's an honor to have you here! And so good to see your ships are getting more and bigger.
  25. Just moving your splendid ships to the proper MOC forum
