  1. 'Somehow' you're the first to notice there's more to this MOC than meets the eye... your (blind) secret agent is doing a good job, what about a promotion for him/her.
  2. Yes! One step closer to the original. Lovely update to a fabulous ship Best regards, my friend, hope the next one will be a bomb, too! KB
  3. Build one... then put masts on it... and have it sail on the wrong side of ocean lanes.
  4. Seems the pirates got a little lost in the jungle on their latest raid... Haha, love the Golden Skull, nice scene, well done. Just one thing, please resize the pictures to 800x600 as stated in the rules, otherwise we'll have to delete them.
  5. Maybe this is approaching... I like how the seagull is hiding behind the captain, and he is like 'Shhh, I got it, don't worry!' Brick on!
  6. What Captain Braunsfeld said. Lovely composition, very charming, and I really like the round bastions on the tower on the right (the kitchen or restaurant). Just one thing:
  7. True! Totally forgot about your ship. Darn this thieving Royal Navy!
  8. Pirate teddy Bobo for the win! I really like the design of this scene and your choice of minifigs. And I love the terrace the boy is standing on, especially the 'pots' for the palm trees. Two thumbs up
  9. Every Bluecoat's dream, it seems. But honestly, I don't see it happening. There's just too much equipment. Let aside some of it is early 90s, some combinations are just not 'Bluecoat', and all in all TLG would never release a set containing that many minifig accessories. My suggestion: simplify it! You don't need two backpacks, four epaulettes, and three hats/hairpieces. Focus on the big flag if you like, and reduce the piece count of that 'armory' structure! Brick on!
  10. Sure looks violent what you got here. Question though, do you know how to make renders of your digital creations? They'd look much nicer and make a better presentation. Should you need help, let me know! Also, the .lxf-file you provided seems to show only a part of your creation. Brick on!
  11. TMI! Yeah, you should! And I think we both know a long-eared, annoying candidate. Nah, keelhauling is so early August. For PtV Sharknado is on! Unfortunately, I don't really understand Russian, so your poetry would be wasted on a language dilettante like me. But maybe you could try to make a decent translation to English, and build a MOC around it, then present it as PtV entry. Good luck!
  12. OK, maybe it fits here... this is a must-watch for all ship-mocers: Nelson's famous flagship HMS Hello Kitty Question now is, who is to moc(k) it first? Go!
  13. He came to them with an idea. An idea that would forever change the world's power balance, as he would harness nature's deadliest force for them. But they called him a fool. It couldn't be done, they said. They chased him away. They laughed at him. Now he has returned. It could be done. He will show them. And who is laughing now? Not them. Some don't even have faces anymore, MUHAHA! Hmm... er, well, but also not him, because he is Käpt'n Kuhl! And with him he has brought... wind and fish... sharks... in a storm: Sharknado. Sharknado? SHARKNADO! *insertthunderhere* Sharknado This is my entry for PtV's Digital Division. It was a fun build, the idea was there instantly, and the translation from mind to digital 'matter' went astonishingly smooth. The result is a representation of an aspect that fascinates me probably most about digital building - the depiction of motion. No gravity - no problems. Well, actually, different problems, but less talk, more pics: Sharknado 4 Sharknado 3 Sharknado 2 Sharknado 1 Just realised, all the small sharks should be dark bley instead of light bley, but besides this mishap all parts come in the colors depicted, so if you want to build Käpt'n Kuhl's 'shark submarine thingy', go ahead! Or go to space to assemble all of it I hope you like it, some more and high-res pics in my flickr album. C&C welcome. And at last a 'bonus shot' for those familiar with the movie(s): Bonus Shot. Yes, chainsaw... Thanks for watching. KB
  14. Well, unfortunately I don't know exactly which pirate minifig you mean, and neither whether you've already tried this source, but usually bricklink.com is a good place to check for (rare) parts. Here's a link to all pirate minifigs. Good hunting!
  15. This ship will never sink, it's held together by sheer awesomeness! I guess you know what a 'real' ship looks like, and this is not far away from one. Interesting concept, and obviously a fun, 'derailed' build. I like it a lot. Two thumbs up Brick on! KB
  16. If you need inspiration for your entries or just want to see how sick-minded PtV-contestants can be, go check out the PtV I and II entries in the 'Contests' section of the Master Index!
  17. Nice and well built ship you got there. I like it. My only suggestion would be to angle the handrail on the poopdeck running aft. Did a small MOC-up to show you what I mean: On the left there's your configuration, on the right you see what another hinge plate (and some tiling) could do. But that's just a suggestion. Keep it up! KB
  18. Of course it would take a picture to judge, but bare in mind that this contest is called 'Pillage the Village', and in the destription it states 'Looting, robbing, smuggling and plundering are the hobbies of every healthy pirate. This contest explores the nefarious side of the LEGO System pirate's life, so your mission is to show us the gory aspect of their daily activities in the Golden Age of Piracy.' To me it sounds like your creation does not fit this 'What would Pirates do' - theme. Please also take into consideration that an ongoing MOC-based story would depict several MOCs and these would therefore be separate entries. Better stick to one MOC and come up with a decent story in writing. You could for example depict your sea-monster-ship on a rampaging raid of the closest merchant harbor or in battle with another ship.
  19. A clown emoji? A yellow mug! People here need to get mugged! Wind... and fish. Maybe... probably... soon.
  20. Agreed, best ship from my pov, too. But nonetheless, judging by the time you spent here on EB, you should by now be acquainted with the rules about bumping old topics. Read here, please! Basically it says: Don't do it for no reason, dude!
  21. Neat little scene. Well, executed, especially considering your limited supply of bricks. Spaniard stew for the win! Is the pot some sort of Lego or Duplo? Best regards, KB
  22. Just when you think you've seen it all, along comes Gary and procrastinates again. E-P-I-C!
  23. Another splendid example of you customizing magic. Good work, Woody
  24. Thanks, guys, this was fun, especially since CB slammed a response! Ey, there are no slaves among Colonial Minions. All Colonial Minions are equal... but some are more equal than others. Seems we all underestimated the moral deepness of this MOC
  25. Bwhahahaha, this... is... awesome... I love it Didn't expect a response, but yeah, Captain, very well done. Building-Slam for the win! Seems, those Colonial Minions are good for something after all. Enjoy the water rum water! @Captain Dee: There was no planing in this, but the nutty factor seems elevated, indeed...
