  1. S@H Australia is saying "out of stock, expected ship date 28 Dec 2012" ... it is on top of the "top sellers" list, so I'm not sure that it is discontinued, just unavailable. I believe originally there was only going to be a limited amount made, but maybe TLG changed plan?

  4. Damn, another theme I'll be buying every set of. Not to mention multiples of those minifigs! Wonder when it's coming out here... probably March or something
  5. My impression is that pointy pieces (with potentially painful eye-poking ability) are often made of softer rubbery plastic.
  6. Not sure what the first part of the question means, but they come off as easily as any Lego part. They aren't difficult to remove, and they aren't difficult to keep on either (they don't just fall off).
  7. The lime green is a bit scary, especially on the stairs, but the design & interior detail is quite nice and it fits the Friends theme very well. You have quite the minidoll collection! On the Pinkie Pie subject, I took this photo of my Helm's Deep setup a few months ago: Where else would a party animal be during a battle, than blowing the horn...
  8. Hi guys, scroll up as much as 2 posts... the raffle closed 5 hours ago
  9. Yes, that's one slight disappointment.
  10. It was a production error, extremely rare, and therefore now a collectors item!
  11. It looks to me to be a good set to get your Hoth numbers up, I don't see justification in the complaints at all. People complain when sets aren't suitable for army building, then we get something that's almost nothing-but, and it's a "boring set". If I was an OT set buyer I'd grab a few.
  12. I don't know, don't remember seeing a date, but my safe guess would be in 2 weeks' time. I think themes tend to be released here mid-month, usually @2 weeks after the first place they turn up. A bit close to Christmas though, so maybe sooner?
  13. Love those microfigs! I wonder if the game might be somehow reborn in some fashion for Legend of Chima?
  14. Green Flame Preventing doers-of-evil from doing-evil, without the constraints of Space Police protocol Green Futuron gets a superpower upgrade - not really a disguise...
  15. Thanks for the info, now also available on S@H.au! Here are the official Aussie prices (I think I saw tentative or at least an online vendor's pre-order price a couple of weeks ago): 79000 Riddles for the Ring $19.99 ($3 less than Gandalf Arrives) 79001 Escape from Mirkwood™ Spiders $49.99 ($10 more than Shelob, $10 less than Uruk Hai) 79002 Attack of the Wargs $99.99 ($10 more than Weathertop) 79003 An Unexpected Gathering $119.99 (same as Mines Of Moria) 79004 Barrel Escape $69.99 (same as Orc Forge) 79010 The Goblin King Battle $149.99 With free standard shipping at the moment, now isn't a bad time to order (unless you want to wait for the sales). edit - getting my facts straight...er
  16. I've just picked up the Heroica set Ilrion (I'm thinking it may be the finale unfortunately) via S@H (The Hobbit has just appeared in shops, not interested at $50 yet). The new heroes have interesting unique abilities, so far the prince with his melee "defeat the monster + move 2 spaces" has proven overpowered on my densely trinketed custom game board. Not sure if on the normal board it would be more fair. The other one with his "pick up an object up to 3 spaces away" has proven fairly useless. I might nerf one and whatever-the-opposite-word-is the other. Here is the current state of the board at my place: As you may be able to tell I've added (almost all of) the bosses in to the final round again. Takes a couple of hours to play.
  17. Just noticed this. Looks great, well done. I recently picked up Ilrion and decided to expand my existing board a bit, and added an extra desert level with the mummies just as you have (unaware that anyone else had done this already)... why didn't I think of scorpions though? Yours is a million times better than mine of course!
  18. I previously uploaded the werewolf & vampire set game codes, since I got the zombies set I figured some may be interested in the codes from that one. I finally got around to uploading some pics. Just realised I haven't photographed the minifigs from this set separately, I'll have to get onto that...
  19. EB Games have updated the listings for the game on their website (if you are wondering, it is still a pre-order in Australia, the release date here is next week) and have put the pre-order bonus back in, with a noticeable change: "while stocks last" I can either assume that this is to cover them when pretty much everyone misses out on getting an Elrond, or that there is a new batch available but some may still miss out. The fact that the "bonus" disappeared from the listing for a few weeks is an ill sign in any case.
  20. Haven't been reading or active in this season's thread, but I have been watching the show. Just thought I'd drop in with a question in my mind: is this season heaps better than the others, or is it just that I haven't been reading this thread, that's made me enjoy the show so far? (I know it hasn't been perfect, of course.)
  21. Luke playing with his toys... (not unlike Dark Helmet!) "...only a master of evil, Darth..."
  22. Mr Claus to Mr Claws: "I used to be a suited-up hero like you, but then I took an antler to the knee..."
  23. No way! You mean to say I won something? Wow. You'd think that I should go for the green one but I don't really mind, since it's my first, I'll take anything! Thanks to Pep for the contests, well done to the winners.
