Kmart. I haven't seen it anywhere else, so it must be exclusive to them. That also means you probably won't get it at a decent discount price, as Kmart seems to have stopped having decent sales. The best I've seen it at is $69, but usually $89. I really only want his minifig, but BL has a rather high asking price, so...

The new castle will also have a new white horse. Tower Bridge Removing a saddle is not difficult... removing printing is not impossible, although not ideal either.

Great stash! I don't think I'll get that many of the bigger sets for budgetary reasons, but if I did I would go with 4, 5 or more of 70701.

Well, we could get some combination with the overnight orc siege of Minas Tirith, so an Oliphaunt with brick-built stuff on top plus a big siege tower, and any number & variation of minifigs.

I also vouch for nostalgia of Royal Knights, but admit that they weren't as good as the factions of the decade prior, but were better than everything that came out over the decade following them. It's one thing to like their emblem, it's another entirely to be happy to see it rehashed again & again when there were better ones. Plus, a completely new lion printing is not that much harder to come up with than a rehashed old cartoon one, if they really must reuse that piece. The Kingdoms one was new, and good.

In any case I got Sauron after my previous post and used him, and have since built the boxing gloves too. I don't have the rope design yet, but thanks anyway! Regarding the jumps, I wasted my New Year's Eve falling off Orthanc, Helm's Deep & the Prancing Pony and lost many studs to fatalities so don't talk to me about sticking to platforms! I certainly hope the neighbours couldn't hear the language I was sporting... I need a break from the game for a few days, I keep dreaming about minifigs constantly jumping unsuccessfully. Have you finished the story yet? I tried before I'd finished it and couldn't get in, but after I had, next time I was in Hobbiton the door opened itself, Bilbo was there, I could go in no probs.

Use the search function or wanted lists to find specific parts/sets you want, look around to see what prices you can get... trawl through a seller's items to see what else you want... put it all in the cart, go through checkout & wait for the invoice! Many hours of fun available on BL, even looking at pics of Lego online is exciting for many of us, let alone having it arrive in the mail... Recently I have noticed an increase locally in the word "hey" being used in place of (but with the same tone as) "hello". I think it's an American thing. But there was a time here when "hey" was very much like "oi", very informal & impolite/casual, and almost always with an exclamation mark.

Just use blue or yellow, that should be okay. Amazing, what can you not do..? Whenever I warp in a probe I say "schweeeet", it sorta sounds like that anyway. I think in the original game Protoss is more like tan, but gold in Starcraft II? Or is it the other way... In Lego form yellow certainly suits best. And Si I'm certain I've seen a banshee & WIP siege tank in here somewhere. This is the only protoss I've seen here other than some zealot/templar action figures though.

Star Slicer has appeared on S@H Australia, for $59.99. Ugh. No sign of the other sets yet.

I have a couple of questions, I've just finished the story and am now making my way back through Middle-Earth doing whatever I can on the way (ran out of money to buy the 3 Lothlorien elves, I'll come back to that later) but the 1st question is: what do I need to get through those doors with a glowing gold handle (looks like the telephone handle piece)? I have the beserker for mithril(?) white shiny things, royal Aragorn for the lava rock things but no idea how to get into the other one. Do I need to buy someone specific? 2nd: how do I get to the guy above the entrance at Edoras? Sam is too short to reach to use the elven rope or jump up to the platform, and I can't throw him up on the platform because there's no one to catch him. Will it work if he gets on a horse? 3rd: can someone come to my house and do the really hard jumping ones... I get so annoyed with those, trying again & again 20-30x only to fall off again & eventually give up...

One is a retailer and signs an agreement with TLG to never disclose any information included or show or copy the CONFIDENTIAL pictures inside. The contents only become public if one of these retailers is very naughty. Hopefully the 2nd one... more sets is always better (except when talking about our wallets) when a theme has a likely limited run.

I was thinking the same thing. Also wondering why we didn't get a Kingdoms Pt 2 instead... I will wait and see how this turns out but will probably buy whatever castle there is regardless.

Indeed. Although the best you can do with that is 30% off, it sounds like an incredible deal! Let's just say I snapped up the big Hobbit sets - $200 down from $270. The backup plan is to grab the Haunted House during the next one, "May The 4th"... but that is a long wait.

Thanks again guys for the raffle. No win for me this year (so I'm off to BL some minifigs I suppose!) but a lot more entries than winners compared to last year.

Probably next year. (Okay, so now that's a given, but I would've said that from the beginning.) I don't know why they do it like that though. It's really annoying for people like me not in a big metro area (as I can't get to a DJ, TRU or Big W) so it really matters where these kind of sets are released, and not knowing in advance if I'll be able to get it cheaper at eg Myer or Target, I don't want to pay full price + postage from S@H. It would be really good to know release dates, and availability for exclusive sets & themes.

I wonder when this line is going to be available here. Not for a few months is my guess, but at least there'll be some new SW in the meantime. I checked out Bricklink regarding the Swarm Interceptor parts, it's a ship I'd like a fleet of, but I'd hoped to make it in different trim colours for the other factions & recent space minifigs. Unfortunately the wedge piece does not come in green, otherwise that option is available. I might try black for the CMF space pirate. (The pink one would be awesome, but I doubt most of those parts are available in pink! TLG, we need more pink spaceship parts... )

They are the normal prices (RRP) for The Hobbit. Don't be offended, get them on sale. Does anyone know yet who is stocking the barrel set?

The second (& final) wave of Kingdoms (last year's) had 4 sets... can't get much more appropriate than that. Doom! Doom I say! But the world ends today so it doesn't matter.

DeLorean is an interesting case, it's not that professional looking as a model. I imagine the final version could be quite different. I even noticed an illegal connection at the front . Congrats, it's a good project & I'm sure it will sell. No it didn't, read it again.
