1. Awesome machine! Love it.
2. This is unreal... Absolutely amazing. Again...
3. That is just beautiful...
4. Thanks guys! I do that for people like you. People who 'know'... There are several musclecars that are easier to build. Like the more boxier Mustang, Challengers, or Plymouths. The Charger started out as a Bluesmobile but I got more and more ideas to build the Charger so I changed it into that. A Dodge Charger has a lot of subtle bodylines that are very important and even harder to capture in Lego. I've made some improvements to this model already but don't have the time for photo's at the moment. I didn't think there would be a convinvcing way to build this particular model, but I was impressed by some of the detailing of others who've tried. I just knew I could add improvements.
5. Thát I find almost the highest compliment. Somebody telling me I inspire him to build. 8| Thanks. This hotrod of yours is tarting to look good already, however I would change the rearpart, by placing it higher trying to level it with the cowl. 2 plates, maybe even a full brick will do the trick. And just maybe a kick-up in the rear of the frame but keeping the wheels level to the frontwheels. I can't figure out if the engine is the same on the other side. If not: it's cool to see a rod with a hopped up four-banger. A friend of mine builds real traditional Model A's with hopped-up four cylinder engines. Ooh, and I'd switch that roofpiece to the rear of the roof. A Model A has a square frontcab that is rounded in the back. I'd tried a coupeversion of my rod with the same part but preferred the roadsterversion.
6. Thanks Zblj. The tires are just ordinairy tires that comes in lots of creatorsets . I just turned them inside-out to 'delete' the nonsense and very ugly all-terain profile.
7. that was awesome!
8. Haha, looks good! Wonder what it looks like from another angle... ;) edit: never mind... And I agree on the beautiful official ecto1 to be just a bit too large for modular/city scenery. I've build a cartoony 7stud Ecto 1 for my scenery and I like to see more smaller Ecto1 builds from other builders. ;)
9. Thanks SirBlake! I always try to build vehicles that are compatible with minifigs and town/citybuildings. I have a thread on the Charger that can be found in this same forum-theme. ;)
10. ^ Traditional 1929 Ford Model A-V8 hotrod on 1932 Ford deucerails build circa 1959, featuring fullhouse blown Mercury flathead with open headers, dual exhaust for streetuse, red tuck'n'roll vinyl upholstery, steelwheels painted red, skinny bias ply Firestone tyres up front, Firestone dirtrackers in the rear, Pontiac taillights, chopped windshield, clubplaque hanging from the spreaderbar. ;) ^ Loosly based on this car. ^ I got inspired by the cab-piece that came with the icecreamtruck or RV-camping and canoeingset. I thought that would be the perfect Ford Model A rearend: ^ I build it with a regular red interior, but really want it with ^this^ dark red to give it a more authentic look... I'm just missing a vital piece... And just for fun: ^ Meet Woody. The happy new owner of a hip model A-V8 hotrod. :) ^ Just to compare it with the Charger But to really appreciate this hotrod you've gotta listen to this Jack Baymoore recording: A-V8 Boogie! And please, play loud... ;)
11. Thanks guys! And I dont't have to tell you you can vote for it on Lego-ideas right...? ;) Haha, thanks chippupperty, I really feel honoured to have your first and only (for now) comment about my Batmobile! :D
12. I think the 8-ball is a great touch. Sometimes drastic measures like paint is allowed by me. ;) (I painted Lego for the very first time two days ago, heheh.) Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for that game :)
13. That's cool! Gameboys are still awesome... ;)
14. Not familiar with the game, but hat a great build! I'm a sucker for spooky hotrods. Especially hearses. In fact, the Monster Fighters Hotrod Hearse was the set that made me beome an afol... :) Love that orange demon. Where did the 8-ball come from? Is it a custom piece?
15. Lovely build!
16. Thanks jono.rocky! Pretty happy about the way it turned out. It actually started out as the Bluesmobile Dodge... But while I was building I got all these ideas to make Charger features. So I made some ajustments and fitted the charger front and rear. And because it is in blake it was very easy to add the Rubber Duck hoodornament to make it the Death Proof car. EDIT: I've just made some major aprovements on the typical '69 Charger frontend and roofline. I also raised the stance by one plate to give it a more natural look on photo's. Which I hope to make pretty soon, cause I'm stoked about how the car looks right now. So stay tuned!!
17. Nice! I'm only familiar with the hotwheels model that you,ve used as reference and can only say: you've nailed it!
18. EDIT!!! I've made some major improvements on the car to capture the typical look of a '69 Charger even better. Hope to find the time to take some pics soon. So stay tuned!!! ...or just some other 69 Charger that looks like the Death Proof musclecar, because the interior is way too nice for Stuntman Mike. ;) ^ Stuntman Mike. Looking cool, waiting for some chicks in a white Challenger...
19. Nicely executed!
20. neat!
21. That turned out to be a neat little car!! Love the front- and rearend...
22. Batman and Robin reveal secret identity!! I knew it... ;)
23. Recently found the time to build a Ghostbusters HQ facade. It started out as a complete building, but after doing just the first floor, I decided that it would become way to big... I don't have too much bricks so I went for the just a facade that I could combine with my other 'big city movie moc': My 1966 Batman set. It is connected with hinges so you can open it like a dollhouse to get a front and back, or just the front with the two buildings side by side. In the meantime I mocked up another movie moc facade: The Bluesbrothers Orphanage which is still very much a wip... Sneakpeek WIP: 1966 Batman - Ghostbusters HQ - Bluesbrothers Orphanage
24. Finally took the time to make some pics of another improvement I was telling you about: The cabine is back to it's normal size and I lengtened the wheelbase. So, now the Cadillac hearse does look more like the lengtened limousine from the movie.
25. What a great build! Love every aspect of it... 8|
