This '8x8 Vingnette' concept is based on the #40120 Valentine's Day Dinner and #40121 Painting Easter Eggs. It's a great way to display minifigures and show different scenes. This model is based on Stephen's iconic studio from 'The Brick Show.' It features all the main details such as the minifigure wall, brown desk with a LEGO Apple, table with a PC monitor, spinning chair, LEGO City boxes on the floor, white storage unit with a UCS Sandcrawler and two Brick Show stickers. The Stephen minifigure needs printing of 'The Brick Show' logo as well as on the two 'Flat Tile 1x2.' It's not necessary but I feel the computer monitor should have a sticker to show the screen and the LEGO City box. Any other graphics will take away the charm of this '8x8 Vingnette' concept. Would you purchase this kit and realistically how much would you pay if the torso printed and the stickers? I would say it would cost £15-£20 without the figures and stickers; if those are included I would increase the price to £20-£25. Let me know and if it get's enough requests at those prices I may join with 'The Brick Show' once again and sell them as kits :) I really hope you enjoyed this in MOC; feedback and criticism is much appreciated. This '8x8 Vignette' concept started with 'The Dark Knight - Interrogation Scene' vignette, which as based on the #40120 Valentine's Day Dinner and #40121 Painting Easter Eggs. This is loosely base on the #76005 Daily Bugle Showdown set. I didn't want to have the set displayed but the top floor I had to keep as it was the highlight if the set. I have changed the design of the the office and the exterior of the top floor and kept is simple and small as possible as it could be whilst using all the cool stickers used in the building. This '8x8 Vingnette' concept started with 'The Dark Knight - Interrogation Scene' vignette which was based on the #40120 Valentine's Day Dinner and #40121 Painting Easter Eggs. This one represents the 'AMC Movie Talk' studio in Burbank, California. The hardest part was to make it accurate as possible due to is contemporary design and curves, such as the table and back wall. This would include three minifigures: John Campea, Jon Schnepp and Dennis Tzeng. I have avoided the graphics on the faces since it's a nightmare to find them on LEGO Digital Designer. It would also include three AMC logo patches and one laptop. This one needs a few stickers and gaphics to make it more accurate such as the screens and the graphics on the walls. I wanted to post this week since yesterday was John Campea's last show. I will definitely will re-upload this when I own the parts and design the stickers and graphics. Render Time: 8 Hours AMC Movie Talk: https://YouTube.com/AMCTheatres I really hope you enjoyed this MOC; feedback and criticism is much appreciated. Adeel

This model is based on Jason's studio from 'The Brick Show.' It features all the main details such as the the lime green and blue walls, white desk with a Sopwith Camel set and an IPad stand, white stool, three LEGO City boxes on the floor, brown storage unit with a Volkswagen T1 Camper Van, Two shelves with two baseballs, LEGO apple, 'Buzz and Woody To The Rescue' set, Minecraft Micro World and one Brick Show sticker. The Jason minifigure needs printing of 'The Brick Show' logo as well as on the two 'Flat Tile 1x2.' It's not necessary but I feel the IPad should have a sticker to show the screen and the LEGO City and Toy Story boxes. Any other graphics will take away the charm of this '8x8 Vingnette' concept. 1993, May 3rd. Now, my story begins. It was a simple day. I worked at an experimental florist greenhouse. We engineered chemically enhanced, and hybrid plants. We've contributed to several medicines and bio-technologies. I was taking a load of compost for the plants early in the morning, when i heard a ruckus around a corner. A man was holding a gun to my boss. "I swear to heck i don't have it!" he yelled. "Just give it to me, Drahn." "I told you, i don't have it!" then, the trigger pulled. The man then turned to me, as i stood there, stunned at what i had just seen. Before he could open his mouth, i said "What... did i just... see." he lowered his gun before he spoke. "You just saw a man who was about to leak a secret organization to the public die. And now you're involved." I still stood there, staring at the scene. "You've seen too much to just go freely, but you're not involved with the leak, so i can use you." he said, hand still gripping the gun. "I... what?" i said, nervously, with an obvious shaky tone in my voice. "You just saw a threat to my organization die, and you can't un-see it. Now you have to come with me, so you can't tell anyone of this." he looked at me with a straight face. "Why would i go with you? I have a normal life, and a job." he shook his head. "Not anymore. Your boss just died, and your life is no longer normal. So the best thing to do is come with me." I pondered what to do. I thought about taking him down, but he had the gun. I resolved to at least go with him to see what the big deal was. "A..alright. I'll come, but at least put your gun away." he nodded, and then we headed out of the greenhouse. Part Two - The Orginization We walked to the edge of town, into a forest. We came across a clearing, where a geological measurement setup was. "Two years ago, the Society of Geological Safety scouted this clearing, and they detected unusual readings under these grounds. They dug around the area, and found this manhole, which leads to our hidden base. We eliminated all of them, before they could post their finding on the paper." he walked down to a hatch with a turning handle. He slowly turned it, and it opened with ease. "Let's go in." he said, and i followed. After a single, sewer-like hallway, we went through a door, and on the other side, was a rich, polished hall, with several displays. "We're here. Now let me do the talking." We walked down the hall for ten minutes before we came up to some double-doors. Guards in black suits and fedoras blocked several doors. They all had guns in the backs of their pants. I felt nervous. Once we stepped up to the double-doors, one of the guards said "Halt! Dr. Rain, who is the outsider?" he asked. "This is a victim of the conspiracy. He saw me take out a leak ally, but he's not affiliated with them, so he'll have to work with us. Alright, i need to speak to the boss." he said. "You may pass." the guard said, stepping aside. Before we walked in, Dr. Rain turned to me. "What's your name?" he asked. I was hesitant, but eventually answered. "Lucas Green. For short, Luke." "Alright, Luke. We're about to speak to our boss, who told me to kill that man earlier. We're going to find out what work he has for you." Rain said. "Alright..." and i followed him in. (OOC) Alright! Chapter One is up! Up until a certain build, Luke's story is all in the past. When that chapter is posted, what happens in all future chapters will be determined by you guys! Until then, look forward to Chapter Two, which will be up either tomorrow or monday! ~Windusky

Alright, I know what you're thinking. "He's probably just some criminal, running from the police. Well, it's not like that. That explosion, just killed my friend. And those police, think I blew him up. They don't know what I know. My girlfriend and I had gotten into some hairy situations, but nothing of this scale and importance. My name is Luke Green. I am, or was, a simple person, just going about their average daily tasks… But fate drew me into a disgusting mess of deep conspiracies, and malicious secret organizations. I hope that you'll follow my story, for it has a good moral at the end. (OOC) This is the introduction for TIC (The Illuminar Contingency), a story told by LEGO vignettes. Let me know if you're exited! And comments on the build are fine.

Here's my Phase 1 build for the storehouse category in Age of Mitgardia. I limited myself to an 8x8 base size for this build, and was mainly trying to make a realistic looking cellar entrance. Fruit cellars are commonly used in Mitgardia to store food, and other goods. Rats can become problematic, but it looks like this one's food stealing days are over: See more pictures here: link Comments and suggestions welcome

Ma.K SAFS Wolverine Diorama Well I decided to join Ma.Ktoberfest 2014, and what fun! I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent building this model. Thanks for the great theme guys. :) The little mech itself was a blast to build, that is what started this vignette off. :) If you are going to BrickWorld 2015, you might see this little vignette there! Here's hoping that i can keep it together until then :) Based off of: The Raccoon and Raptor Diorama and: SAFS Wolverine Both on maschinenkrueger.com Thanks for viewing, and God bless! Hey all, I wasn't sure where exactly to put this so I put it here. I was bored and decided to make a small scene with a few pieces I found. Inspired by figure skater Yulia Lipnitskaya, Olympic Gold Winner and won silver in World Figure Skating Championships in Japan 2014. I tried recreating a small scene of when she finished her performance in Sochi, and someone tossed her down a red hat. Transparent cheese slopes were used to create a kind of icy effect. Camera crew: Thanks for viewing, uvidimcya!

Fall of Jericho by mpoh98, on Flickr Hello all, At BrickWorld 2014 this year, my good friend Aidan Frusher organized a small 16x16 Bible Vignette Collaboration. I was able to contribute this build, which I whipped up a couple days before BrickWorld began. I had seen this loose brick technique before, and had tons of fun playing with it in this build. Enjoy! Fall of Jericho by mpoh98, on Flickr The Fall of Jericho Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?” The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.” So Joshua son of Nun called the priests and said to them, “Take up the ark of the covenant of the Lord and have seven priests carry trumpets in front of it.” And he ordered the army, “Advance! March around the city, with an armed guard going ahead of the ark of the Lord.” When Joshua had spoken to the people, the seven priests carrying the seven trumpets before the Lord went forward, blowing their trumpets, and the ark of the Lord’s covenant followed them. The armed guard marched ahead of the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard followed the ark. All this time the trumpets were sounding. But Joshua had commanded the army, “Do not give a war cry, do not raise your voices, do not say a word until the day I tell you to shout. Then shout!” So he had the ark of the Lord carried around the city, circling it once. Then the army returned to camp and spent the night there. Joshua got up early the next morning and the priests took up the ark of the Lord. The seven priests carrying the seven trumpets went forward, marching before the ark of the Lord and blowing the trumpets. The armed men went ahead of them and the rear guard followed the ark of the Lord, while the trumpets kept sounding. So on the second day they marched around the city once and returned to the camp. They did this for six days. On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city! The city and all that is in it are to be devoted to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared, because she hid the spies we sent. But keep away from the devoted things, so that you will not bring about your own destruction by taking any of them. Otherwise you will make the camp of Israel liable to destruction and bring trouble on it. All the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron are sacred to the Lord and must go into his treasury.” When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city. They devoted the city to the Lord and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys. (Joshua 5:13-6:27 NIV) Soli Deo Gloria! ~Matthew~

Without further ado, here's the backstory followed by the pics: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It started out as any normal day in the valley would. The sweet musky smell wafted from the woods filled Joash's nostrils. He looked up at his father and smiled. These were the days. Joash took several deep breaths, taking in the spectacle. The brown leaves on the ground scattered as he walked, parting like seas. He and his father walked on and on until they reached the river, and then walked beside it. The man-made river was said to originate from the mountains in the North, its path carved out by the Men of old who lived in the valley. It was so peaceful, so quiet. And yet there was something intangible about the moment. Joash couldn't quite put his finger on what was bothering him. Was it those overcast clouds on the horizon? No, that wasn't. Maybe it was the unnatural stillness of the woods. The tenseness. And that was when it happened. Joash almost expected it. He could feel the disruption when the warriors burst through the forest and onto the beach. Joash raced for the water and dove in, hoping to lose them. "Father!" Joash screamed out in a flurry as he bobbed up and down in the water. "Go, Joash! Make for the Cities of the Westfolk. Flee! This is my fault, not yours. Leave!" Joash's father stood on the bank, knowing that he would die at the warrior's hands. Defiant to the last, his Father approached the warriors and approached his doom. As his father died, one of the warriors, clearly the leader, yelled after Joash. "We're coming for you!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Revolutionary - Prologue 1 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The Revolutionary - Prologue 2 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The Revolutionary - Prologue 3 by JoashColbat, on Flickr "We're coming for you!" The Revolutionary - Prologue 4 by JoashColbat, on Flickr Thanks for looking, C&C welcome. This is my first attempt at vignette story-telling, so please excuse any flaws. Oh, and I bet I'll be asked why Joash Colbat is a fleshie and the others aren't. It'll be explained later on in the series. JoashColbat

Hi all again, This was my entry for the TechLug contest number eleven. The goal was to create a 12x12 vignette repesenting a lightsaber duel. I have chosen MOCing the one opposing Anakin and Dooku on Geonosis. Here are the pictures, you will find some explications at the end of the thread. As you can see, I've tried to build the major elements of the scene as the cable on the ground, barrels, some rocks.... I had one day to achieve my entry, which explains the presence of LBG, which don't make think that the scene is playing in a rocky hangar, only represented thanks to a big brown metapiece. The light of the hangar was interesting, so I decided to show three lamps, with greebles (plates modified and bars in this case), to get a more eye-catching render. Anakin and Dooku are home maded minifigs. Technically, I used SNOT for the base, that is a quarter stud to wide ang long. The main problem also is the colour sheme I applied beause of my own pieces making the vignette loosing a lot of credibility. Still, I am happy having be able to participate to this contest, despite my result : the last place. Even if my creation is from far not perfect, what do you think of it ? You can ge bigger pictues on my Bricksafe or on my Brickshelf gallery.

Hi everyone, I present you here my latest MOC : A Mini A-Wing and its 4x4 vignette. The vignette could be te city of the Executor, or the surface of the Death Star II or of a Star Destroyer. Technically, it is not difficult : the sides, the front, the reactors, the cockpit are attached thanks to two bricks 1x1 with 4 knobs. The vignette uses plates modified, plates with grille, bars. The proportions are bad, especially on the back, but all the elementsof an A-Wing are there. Because of the size, I cannot incude all the characteristical shapes of that starfighter, but it is not a huge problem. This A-Wing does not look bad for a Mini, it has a kind of "chibi" look. Because the modes is elevated with a 1x4 bar, in some perspectives, you have the impression that it really flies, which is a quite sympatic. For bigger photos, the Bricksafe and the Brickshelf gallery of the MOC. Don't hesitate to give suggestions or to share your opinion about it.

Backstory first, followed by the pics: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joash had to leave the valley. They hunted and killed his father. Now they were after him. He wanted this to all go away. After all, he was just a normal, rather unremarkable person who went about his business. Why were they looking for him? There was nothing special about him, right? He left with nothing other than the clothes on his back and a few days worth of food and water. Joash set off at dawn. His father's wish was for him to reach the great cities of the Westfolk, and he would honour that wish. He was several days into his journey when he arrived at the easternmost regions of their lands. He imagined a country full of towering cities, gilded with marble and gleaming in the sun. But the reality utterly shocked him. Most of the cities were ruined, nameless piles of rubble that were the mark of a civilisation on the decline. When Joash finally reached the inner area of the West-country, he found himself under the shadow of a city's ruins, but these rose above him to heights of more than ten metres and were but whispers of how great it had once been. He wandered through the maze of arches and rubble, hoping to find something, someone. But not a soul was in sight. Joash was ready to forfeit his journey and hand himself over to whoever was hunting him. His father had meant for him to come here, but why? Why here, of all places? Then he heard a sound. A voice, as soft as a bird's warble but as cold as winter's chill. "You are weary, Joash. What haunts you?" it whispered, barely audible. As there was nothing else to do, Joash answered back: "They killed my father. Now they're coming for me." "Your father has nothing to do with your troubles," the voice responded, louder this time. "What's hunting me? Why?!" Joash was nearly screaming by now. The voice sighed. "You are different, Joash. You are special. They see you as a threat. They want you dead." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Revolutionary - The Cities of the Westfolk 1 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The Revolutionary - The Cities of the Westfolk 2 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The Revolutionary - The Cities of the Westfolk 3 by JoashColbat, on Flickr The Revolutionary - The Cities of the Westfolk 4 by JoashColbat, on Flickr That's all folks, thanks for getting this far without hitting the back button . C&C welcome, as always. I hope to post the next part in the series by the end of the week. Joash Colbat
