For my next entry into the Andromeda's Gates Role Building Game (or RBG for short, I just found out this actually is a `common` term for this sort of thingies), I went for a build of a Listening Post to spy on nearby corporations. It`s also the first time I`m going to try and weave a story with avatar pictures, so that is a first for me... *** Start Log *** Julali 2nd, AD 3825 Thesseus B. Von Geekington reporting I find myself together with Engineering Professor Sai-Saichi on the mountainous planetside of Crentium, located on the A08 grid of the Andromeda Cluster. We where send here by The Pale Lady in order to try and obtain data on the fact if MANTIS is planning any moves in this direction after the skirmishes on Guinevere, grid location A06. Well professor, I must say, so far nothing seems out of the ordinary. Yes Thessues, that might be so, but remember we thought there wouldn`t be any movements at first on Guinevere either, but then they apparantly used some sort of stealth technology to slip through our grids and establish a foothold before our first colonisers arrived. Yeah, that was pretty sneaky. Do you have any idea if this sonic listening device of you can... It`s not 'sonic', it`s 'sonar' Right, that whotnot`s then. So, do we have any idea if it would pick them up if we did that again? Errrm eeerrmmm EEERRRMM I am afraid I must report that for the moment Prof. Sai-Saichi is occupied in all kinds of serious calculations and recalibrations. Apparently, he didn`t take into account the risk of the enemy using stealth technology, so unless they step on a branch really hard, the only thing we will be hearing here is going to be the gentle rocking of the water against the cave`s entrance... *** End Log ***

Another week, another weekly build for the Andromeda's Gates RPG. And this week, I`m back to trying to build a decent spaceship... using Brick Separators! *** Start Log *** Junali 23rd, AD 3825 Thesseus B. Von Geekington reporting The Pale Lady has informed us that High Command wants us to go and travel to sector E-11, an asteroid belt known as The Fascini Cluster. Scans have revealed this belt to be rich in Awesomnium ore, and we are going that way in order to set up excavations. Using our deep space mining vessel, the Separator, we are arriving at the first rocks at this moment, and preparing to set up the mining gear. *** End Log *** So yes, we all are starting to collect a lot of those orange brick separators by now, as they come in about every Lego set of 50 EUR and above. So why I was collecting the latest `heap` of them last week from the workspace, I started thinking about how to use them for something more practical, like, as the core of a spaceship ;-) Hope you like it!

That is one mighty and awesome fortress, fantastic work

That`s a great build, love the use of the pink making it vibrant

The interior is great, and I love how you made it so realistic in design by using the overhang that was typical for medieval wayhouses. EDIT: also, after the great gathering stories you recently build, I guess I will be going by the name `Hagen the Absent` from now on

Thanks all about the comments! About the ice suit on a lava world, blame the management, they assign the jobs

For my weekly contribution, I was `assigned` to build on Guinevere as the corporation is vying for dominance there facing off MANTIS. Considering the planet is all deserts and lava streams, and my challenge was yesterday`s desert micro build, I wanted to go for the other `face` of the planet, the lava. *** Start Log *** Junali 19th, AD 3825 Thesseus B. Von Geekington reporting After our initial scans yesterday revealed that the planet is largely covered in seas of sand, we have also defined that the Gold ore is mainly located in the rougher areas, dominated by lava streams. Orders from command are that I have to seek out these concentrations of the precious ore, as my teams extreme environment equipment is highly suited for this. Together with LV-426, our general extreme conditions droid, I took one of our pulse rafts and set out on one of the lava rivers to have a look around. I will send up all information to our ship in the orbit, in order to have the findings relayed to corporation headquarters. *** End Log *** Well, a few experiments for me in this build, most notably the rafts side `cushions`, and I must say I`m rather happy with how it all turned out in the end.

That is one fantastic looking bird, love the nest, great build!

Thanks all, i`m glad it turned out liked, as I`m not really proficient in building in that scale. Only did one (even actually a tat bigger for MELO on MOCPages) before, but it was something fun to do for a change.

*** Start Log *** Junali 18th, AD 3815 Thesseus B. Von Geekington reporting First scans of the planet Guinevere have been coming in. This planet, which seems to hold the precious metal Gold in it`s crust, registers are barely live sustainable. Arid deserts and fierce, hot lava streams cover it`s entire surface, and scanners are currently investigating if their are native lifeforms present, as we pick up Biomass readings as we... *BIP BIP BIP* Scans completed, and an image is coming through... well I`ll be damned. So that is where those readings originate from.... For the record, I can now report that there is indeed indiginous life present, as we found traces of small settlements littering the desert floors. Further investigation might be advised before starting mining operations. *** End Log *** For the first Challenge in the Andromeda's Gates game, the goal is to recreate just the landscape of a planet. My selected goal, the planet Guinevere, consists of nothing more then arid deserts and lava streams, so I decided to try my hand at microbuilding and make a settlement located somewhere in the large oceans of sand...

The Algus Saga: The Beacons of Mitgardia are Lit!
Tomsche replied to MKJoshA's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great build, and sweet to see so much `illuminati` of Mitgardia included -
Burn those beacons, warn the North! Nice build matey

1. Definitly, placing it right after the start of the week or moments before the deadline shouldn`t be making influence. It should also include Alien`s, that way you might not get the needed 30 when some are posted, grab the bonus, then drop under the 30 again afterwards in the tally. 2. Yes, if your at 0 domination, your effectively booted off the mudball. 3. No, there are enough sci-fi examples of left behind survivors. It could actually make a nice story, of a single builder for example stuck on a remnant of a colony, bombarded by aliens to get him to 0 and expell him.

The Algus Saga: Euosmo's beacon has been light...
Tomsche replied to Gunman's topic in Guilds of Historica
That is an awesome wooden tower... better hope the wind is in the right direction or it`ll be a huge bonfire though ;-) -
OR we just build what we like, where within the rules we are allowed for, and have something else to build like I usually do with GoH... but then again, that is my personal motivation why I`m in here. Fun first, victory later (or never)
