  1. May I suggest to add a link to this tool here?
  2. ... Or use a model editor with a good search engine such as LDCad...
  3. Confirmed, control center II has an ac/DC input. The cc I was batteries only.
  4. OTOH the connectivity files were using a documented file format, so it's still possible to add that. The other problem when using new parts is that the parts thumbnails must be generated. SR3Dbuilder was supposed to be able to create them, but I was never able to use that possibility (crash). Instead I used image created with LDView. ...but I haven't used it for years since LDCad does most(*) of the job much more reliably. (*): I still regret the automatic mechanical simulator of SR3D, even though it was quite buggy...
  5. Thanks Sylvain! Turns out that movement depends on viewing direction, just as in LDCad. So if you look from front or side, q/w move up/down!
  6. It's possible to move or rotate parts with keyboard only? So far I couldn't succeed doing that (could only rotate 90°)...
  7. You are supposed to post model at the end of this thread From time to time an admin updates the master index at the beginning of thread. You may also submit your model on LDraw forum https://forums.ldraw.org/forum-17.html for inclusion in LDraw official model repository
  8. ...but Brickset may be wrong ;) https://education.lego.com/en-us/products/lego-technic-large-hub/45601 https://education.lego.com/en-us/products/lego-technic-large-angular-motor/45602
  9. These motors and controller belong to LEGO Education Spike Prime. I seriously doubt they will be used in Technic 42100 (color scheme,LEDs on the hub, useless motor position encoder)...
  10. 261-1 - Bathroom (Homemaker) Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: None. Done with LDCad 1.6b Rendered with Studio 2.0
  11. 8285 - Tow Truck (Technic 2016) (duplicate, but Kuperus model is no longer available) Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: No stickers. Done with LDCad 1.6b Rendered with Studio 2.0
  12. @Kendo, Yes, that should help...
  13. Hi @Kendo, - What did you used to create the image? - What have you used to export the scene to Povray? TEXMAP FALLBACK (code) TEXMAP END is the LDraw code used by older LDraw programs that don't support texmap extension (eg. MLCad, or currently Studio). If you want to display a pattern with these older programs, fallback section must contain a colored geometry showing the pattern. As an exemple, see this sail: http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cgi?f=parts/36069ap01.dat that shows the texmap image with modern LDraw viewers, and a very rough pattern with older programs.
  14. I use two method for that: either select a part with the right orientation before adding the new one, or (if I ever need to) use ctrl+home to reset orientation. ... And most of the time, snapping does the orientation job!
  15. 8002 - Destroyer Droid (Star Wars Technic) (triplicate, but with all correct parts: (1) and (2)) Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: None. Done with LDCad 1.6b Rendered with Studio 2.0 This one was tough to model (and probably to build in physical world too...). If we ever get a LEGO mechanical simulator, the unfolding sequence (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiMF-ubjvjA) is going to be a challenge...
  16. I like that! I converted a simple file that failed previously: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Philo/Decals/tail-overlap.svg. Now the problem is that there are lots of T-junctions that prevent easy further simplifications. I also tried to improve Sally svg (converting text and strokes to shapes) and indeed I was able to get a much better result: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Philo/Decals/sally2a.dat Unfortunately I went further to get the missing elements properly converted, and now the result is no longer OK :( Here is the SVG: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Philo/Decals/sally2-simple.svg (and I didn't kept the intermediate step...)
  17. 8012 - Super Battle Droid (Star Wars Technic) (duplicate, but with all correct parts) Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: None. Done with LDCad 1.6b Rendered with Studio 2.0
  18. 8001 - Battle Droid (Star Wars Technic) (duplicate) Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: None. Done with LDCad 1.6b Rendered with Studio 2.0 8001 - Battle Droid - AT-ST (B-model) Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: None. Done with LDCad 1.6b Rendered with Studio 2.0 An interesting B-model... Good usage of parts, same theme but very different from main model, looks good (OK, would be better in grey instead of tan!).
  19. 42092 - Rescue Helicopter (Technic 2019) Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: No stickers. Done with LDCad 1.6b Rendered with Studio 2.0
  20. 10230 - Mini Modulars (duplicate) Download MPD (OMR compliant) Known errors: None. Done with LDCad 1.6b Rendered with Studio 2.0
  21. I tried, nothing changed. OTOH as I said previously a lag between controller and smartphone seems improbable, since it works fine with Buwizz. OK, could be some kind of BT flood occuring only with Boost, perturbating normal link with controller, but...???
  22. Hi @imurvai, The first time I powered the hub with LEGO app, there was a firmware update, but I don't know how I could get a version number, and as I bought it on BL I don't know its story. Both of them. I shot a little video to show you the problem: Direct control from the smartphone works fine: This could imply a delay between the game controller and the smartphone, but since it works great with Buwizz setup I think this idea can be eliminated. ;) Otherwise, I like the app a lot. One little suggestion: during profile creation, it would be nice if, when you add a new event, the last device used was selected.
  23. Finally bought a game controller (PG9025), so I finally could try BC2! But I do have some problems (using Moto G5+)... - Worked wonderfully well with a Buwizz V1 - Overall, worked fine with 2 x Sbricks, though sometimes connexion didn't occur the first time. Also got some app crashes while trying to connect. - Connects fine with a Powered Up hub, but the motors never worked (neither in device test or with a creation profile). The hub and motors work fine using LEGO app. - Connexion to the Boost hub work only the second time. For example, in device test, the phone remains in "connecting mode", though the Boost Hub considers to be connected (blue LED). I press cancel and try again to connect, and then it works fine. The sliders of device test mode work fine with no lag. After that, I tried the creation mode. Here again, connexion occurs only the second time. Thent, it works, but with a LOT of lag. - No support of WeDo 2 ?
  24. Ah - this explains. Studio doesn't know about scaling! It normalizes the transformation matrix. This is the same issue I faced here: https://forums.ldraw.org/thread-23006-post-29747.html#pid29747
  25. The good news is that Corel Draw allows me to easily convert strokes and text to "normal" fills... Yes, I noticed that. Indeed it's a problem, as stacked surfaces is not the proper way to do this - it causes artifacts if the plane are close enough - and otherwise the stack can get high... The problem I see with current approach is that it results in many, many more vertices than necessary. I can also see line artifacts, probably when the trapeziums are too narrow. Why do you see this as a problem? If needed neighboring triangles can be easily merged into quads... Sorry for that ;) - I'm not in a hurry anyway... Weird... can you share a file that shows the problem?
