    @kbalageAs far as I know neither thing is directly possible. One workaround is to use image import in LPub. You can draw a circle (PNG with transparent background) and overlay it with the model. You can also add a zoomed area (eg. from snapshot with LDView) to show local details. Not perfect, but...

    Just one month after previous release, a new LDraw parts update is available. Official annoncement:

    Keyword with LPub/LPub3D is: "right-click". There is a lot of things that can be done by right clicking on model, on page background, on part list and so on. For example right click on a submodel background allows to "convert as callout". Right click on model step then "add next step" for multi-step. Not the most user friendly, but works when you're used to (and right click in the right place!). AFAIK arrows must be done externally (callout arrows are created automatically)

    Instead of LSynth I'd rather suggest LDCad, much more powerful and easy to use. Rope LQ template (cylinder section, 3ldu/1.2mm diameter) should be fine to model power lines.

    MLCad needs an update of "parts.lst" in LDraw folder, this is done as Holly-Wood suggested: in MLCad, File -> Scan Parts and accept the update of Parts.lst when prompted.

    You then should have a try at LDraw/LDCad... old 14t is there, and it's not mandatory to mesh gears to make assemblies...

    Worse, it tends to get jammed if used with a too high torque. That's why it's "normal" use is with a rubberish special pulley that can slip on knob (and the rubber band can slip on wheel), limiting torque.
