  6. Most probably you have a library configuration issue, and LDCad can't find the shadow library which defines connectivity. Look at prefs->ldraw->search library paths. Default shadow library (with default installation) is %appdata%\LDCad\shadow\offLib\offLibShadow.csl

  12. Ah. Was not aware of this. So it is definitely more complete (and in line with LDD)
  13. Beeing based on LDraw library, Stud.io doen't have more parts than other LDraw editors including Bricksmith or LeoCAD (and it may have less, parts for which stud.io has no connectivity or collision information defined). Was about to ask you if you tried LDCad, but as you quote Mac only Bricksmith I guess you work on Apple platform so it's not an easy option.

  17. @M'Kyuun Ldraw is a library of parts, supported by several editors, some more, some less user-friendly. Which one have you tried? (I suggest LDCad that does have snapping functions, but your personal preference might be different).
  18. There was some discussion that slowed down their certification. Most probably they will be in the next release, hopefully at the end of this year. No, we don't hate them ;) Just try to make them right... Though it is not the recommended way of doing things, there is a very simple solution: download all unofficial parts from http://www.ldraw.org/library/tracker/ and unzip them over the matching folders.
  19. In LDCad. Select -say- the second color bin, choose "Rubber" bin. Select the tires, then choose rubber black in the wheel and click on (now) rubber black current color to change tire color. Or double click rubber black in the wheel. Changing color of an existing part is not the most user friendly thing in LDcad...
  20. Another tiny improvement: change tire color to "rubber black" (color 256) instead of black, the finish will be less shiny.
  21. That's what does LSculpt, it just defines the best plate shape. You have to join the 1x1 and provide brackets to make the model buildable.
  22. Yes, LSculpt is probably a good solution. Open the LDraw model of the goblet with LDView, then export it as stl file, and process this stl with LSculpt.
