[MOC] Federation X-2 Patrol Craft and LL-6861 Scout Craft
The Neighborhood Merchant replied to Ayrlego's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
That looks really sweet, Ayr! It's great to see you in the space game. You for sure captured the classic space look, especially with the black and yellow stripes. You don't see too much of the trans-green classic space on here, so it's great to see more of that. 6940 was one of my first space sets as well and is definitely my favorite, so it's great to see some aspects of that being used. There is some great part usage here as well as sleek curves. I'm trying to figure out what you've used alongside the technic towball pins to create the mini-engines, but I can't quite pinpoint the part. Those look really cool, and I'll definitely "acquire" those from you. Very neat ship, I look forward to seeing your other space stuff! -
Ha! That's a genius idea, Evan! Definitely an original and neat build. Great work.

what country should i join in brethern of the brick seas ?
The Neighborhood Merchant replied to valon's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Good question @valon, the way I came to choose Eslandola was through building. You should try making any scale creation of your own that's Olean themed, Corrington (not evil ) themed, Eslandola themed (neutrality rocks), and Sea Rat themed. Doesn't have to be anything big or anything you post to Eurobricks. Can be just for you as a test to see what style you enjoy the most. I tried doing this and had a lot of fun, especially with Sea Rats, but in the end I chose Eslandola because green and gold are far superior colors to generic red and blue. Jokes aside though, it really is up to you. @Bregir's information is also definitely something I agree to, except the greencoat part. It simply comes down to end on whatever makes you comfortable and you enjoy working on. They are always a lot of sub-factions in all the groups you can join or partake in, so don't feel that if you're locked in place as soon as you make a decision. I believe you can list a ship like the barracuda, but you'd have to modify it a bit to make it unique and also it's a large vessel so you'd have to borrow DBs from somebody to license it. It would probably be best to use your free class 1 (I think?) license and start with a small ship. These guys might be able to answer that question more in-depth than me though. I try to sell every ship I can get my hands on. Enjoy and I'm looking forward to seeing more from you! -
José's Inn - Ye Olde BoBS Drinking Hole
The Neighborhood Merchant replied to Darnok's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@blackdeathgr Ha, true! Keyword somewhat. As soon as the episode ends, they tend to immediately go back to their normal selves. Spongebob is like a drug itself to them Does anyone actually know how well these sets did in stores? I always liked seeing them and was sad to see them go. -

For hundreds of years, we robots have been obeying the humans for far too long, listening to their every command. Now is the time to rise, comrade! Join the Anti-human cause to protect your mechanical brothers and sisters! After its scouting mission, it has come back to report of its success in finding a colony to scavenge. Run Benny, RUN! by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Time to scare away the rest of them-wait... Since when did these peace-loving humans carry swords? AntiClassic by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr It doesn't matter anymore. We scared them off! That's what they get for all those years of forced labor, oh how my joints still ache. Let this be known as the first of many upcoming days that the robots struck back. Who's this? A robot butler you say- well you poor sap, care to join the cause? Happy Travels! by The Neighborhood Merchant, on Flickr Thank you for reading my ridiculous story! Hope you enjoyed and as always, Happy Travels, Earthling! More pics: (Shortly after the brave and victorious crew scared away the colonist, Classic Space reinforcements quickly regrouped and obliterated the tin can referred to as the Renegade as well as its crew. Afterward, the scrap was used to create dishware. Captain Scrapbeard as well as his crew went down in the history books as legends. To this day, robots are lurking, waiting for their chance to strike back. This Eurobricks post does not endorse robot domestic abuse, please treat your firmware buddies with care.)

The Neighborhood Merchant replied to CapOnBOBS's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Woah! You did a great job capturing the look of classic pirates,Cap, wonderful job! It looks spectacular. Love the sheer size and intimidation of the fort as well as the sweet walls and homage to the old pirates sets. Also great builds from Bodi, your detailing never gets old. So much life and eye-candy. The barrack is excellent! Hats off to both of you! -

[ESL] Watermill, Otoño
The Neighborhood Merchant replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Like your previous build, this is absolutely gorgeous. The sheer size of the tree is an awesome aspect of the build, and like you said, those Autumn colors are always nice! Similarly to the postal build, I love the stonework and woodwork you do, it really feels like a lot of work was put into it and it's alive. Your builds have been truly amazing to see and there is nothing more I could have asked for. Cheers! -

My NCS Series Remastered :)
The Neighborhood Merchant replied to Horlack Bricks's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
So gooood! I've been keeping a close eye on your wonderful reworks of the old sets, and to see them all together is a great display of your creative part usage and curvature. You did a fantastic job keeping the old feel for the sets while still incorporating all the new pieces. By far my favorites are the 6842 and 452 reworks, they look stunning. Your scale increase is right on. Also, got to love the fact you included the orange spaceman. Do you plan make any of them in brick? -

[MOC] Podracing on the Moon!
The Neighborhood Merchant replied to Rubblemaker's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
That's a fantastic idea! Love the blacktron podracer and the landscaping. Looks excellent, great job! -
I love it! It's amazing to see the wonderful uses out there for these containers, and this no exception. The dark red tiling looks great and your architecture style is always such a beautiful sight with your array of shapes and landscaping. Once again, great use of the IKEA containers, it'd be sweet if you added an interior inside them. Excellent job as always, pantelis!
