[MOC] Z-95 Headhunter
stormtroopercaptain replied to Lamborghini Waffle Sauce's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As for the wings I will be going a little larger to match the larger hull. If you have the wing space you may as well fill it up with missiles too. Originally i wanted to do a two person cockpit like that X-wing just could not find a suitable canopy. I decided to on double cockpits like the ARC-170. Figured InCom could market this version as a cheaper alternative to the 170. I've been messing around with engines and once i get a good quad version I will rebuild the original. I figure in universe the Z-95 would be the bargain fighter and to keep costs down InCom would reuse components on multiple versions and offer different versions on the same basic hull. I want them to have the same cannons engines and etc. That way they would share training and replacement parts just like a trainer would. I'll also adjust the colors to match each other. I have a few random mini figs I've put together from random bits that will be my mercenaries that fly these.- 22 replies

[MOC] Z-95 Headhunter
stormtroopercaptain replied to Lamborghini Waffle Sauce's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Right now I’ve settled on something similiar. I built in two large round pieces at the front and then on engine in the back with two smaller boosters. I took some quick shot hard to see the smaller boosters. I used the same technique on the front nose as most of the official x-wings but I shortened it and thinned it down. I wanted it to be a little smaller than an X-wing. I want to try a four engine style and maybe a two seat trainer version as well.- 22 replies

This looks amazing! The wings are perfect with the colors and patterning. The angles on the front fuselage too. I am a big fan of the z-95. The old cannon now legends basically held that it had been around so long and there were so may almost any version could exist. That why I've been tinkering with one for a while now. I can decide on 2 large engines or 4.- 22 replies

[MOC] Desk-Scale Star Wars fleet
stormtroopercaptain replied to simplethinker's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I love you falcon. That size really works well how thin the falcon is vs it’s width is perfect. I wish lego had kept midi scale around. It would be nice collection and display size.- 38 replies

This is the size destroyer I’ve been waiting for. I will defiantly build this.

Death troopers would be cool. I do have a squad of them. I thought about doing a tie reaper for the death troopers. I think I’ll build a little forward airfield with a couple ties for them. Maybe on ryloth.

@JBB_777 Awesome Once I build the second one I’m gonna have to do some sort of battle scene to show them off.

@JBB_777 final took more pictures of the gunship the lights not the best and I’m still getting the hang of taking pictures of these builds. https://flickr.com/photos/161367618@N08/sets/72157664392449027 You can see the dark grey I changed from black on the nose. and an overview. I am very close to enough parts to build a second one. Once I have two I may do some other changes not sure. I’m thinking of seeing if I can make it look a little more imperial. Not sure yet.

[MOC]Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace - The Duel of Fates
stormtroopercaptain replied to KevFett2011's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very nice. The curved snot floor joined to straight walls must have been tricky. You pulled it off well. -
here is a link. https://www.flickr.com/photos/stormtroopercaptain/ I had to update my settings. When i take some pictures ill post them there too.

Not sure if they still are but I got 92911 ball sockets from lego bricks and pieces far cheaper than brick link. Sorry I haven’t posted better pictures yet work went crazy off the rails. I’ll get them in the next few days. I Don’t do Instagram but when you post just reference my flikr. I’ll get you some pictures.
-
I have. I’ll take some good pictures tonight when I get home. I am actually starting up the pieces to build a second one.
-
It’s mostly a color swap of jbb_777s design. I did have to change one or two things. I posted a couple bad shots of it in his thread. I will have to take some more.
-
Very nice I always struggle at this scale. Now you need some tiny tie fighters or two micro scale AT-AT to put under it.

A while ago someone asked about updating the rebels from 9489 Endor rebel trooper & Imperial trooper battle pack with printed legs. As there are not many sand green legs I was able to update the trooper with the tan vest. with legs from private basteren (https://www.brickowl.com/catalog/lego-private-basteren-rebel-trooper-minifigure) that comes with the tie striker. Still need to find legs for the trooper with the bandoleer and belt. Everything I have tried doesn't work. they either cut him off in the middle or don't look like they below on him.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!

The porg looks fun. Its not really a UCS set but who cares. It looks fun and depending on pricing I’ll grab one. Also looks like it might be a slope gold mine. -
[REVIEW] 75152 Imperial Assault Hovertank
stormtroopercaptain replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think this tank is within minifig scale but on the smaller side. The crates are larger than the movie ones should be. That’s one reason it only holds two. There are a few MOCs of this that are just a little bit larger and feel more to scale but not by much. -
[MOC] My version of Marshal Bananas' Lambda Shuttle
stormtroopercaptain replied to Hamsha's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh yea when I finally do it I’ll be taking a lot of inspiration from MBs as your right it is one of the best. I just have to decide if I want to take this or a vy-49 Decimator on first. -

This is amazing and thanks for the updates. I’m gonna have to tackle a lambda shuttle one of these days. And thanks for the updates. -
This is one of the best U-wings I’ve seen absolutely amazing. Are you thinking of doing a whole series?
