  1. 1. Yes I'm getting tired of the same vehicle types, but since I have most of last 10 years sets (90%) I buy them anyway... until last year. Due to the Ferrari 42125 (form over function) I won't buy similar cars like the Ford Raptor 42126 or the batman car 42127 anymore. They are too simple, it isn't technic as I like it before. I mean 42039 had at least a small gearbox. 2. Well of course there are very important studded sets like the 8880 Supercar or the 8868 Air Tech Claw Rig and the 8480 Space Shuttle and I recommend them to buy. But the technic line has nowadays only sets without studs and there are also some very good models. I'm surprised, that you haven't mentioned the Arocs 42043, in my opinion one of the best studless sets. Every technicfan should build this beauty in form and funtion. Some of my Allstarfavorites are 8455 (Backhoe where every funcion but steering is pneumatic), 8285 Tow Truck (it's hollow and skinny but it has many functions and it's big), 42066 Air Race Jet (because of some very interesting linkages), 42055 Bucketwheelexcavator (what a beast and only one motor!), 42054 Xerion (very cool steering modes) and of course the modern 42128 (really nice features and also many functions. Perhaps the sets with control + are good, but I don't know, since I won't buy them. I don't want to use my phone for handling it.
  2. Well I think since it's base is mostly studded (look here: https://manuall.co.uk/lego-set-8448-technic-super-car/ or the first picture) it is an valid entry.
  3. Well that would be a real bargain since you can't buy it anywhere, but sadly you can't actually click on "buy" or "add to my basket", so...
  4. Thanks again for this great review and the nice pictures! I like this set, it seems, there's also a great B-model. I never thought about that, but your question about the colour of the mini-LA is interesting! Something is weird with those tread links though, it doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the body.
  5. Thank you for the funny review and the crisp pictures! I think, for the money it has absolute "above average" play features, together with an obviously great B-model! Now they should just put the building instructions for the B-model in the package!
  6. I bought mine from my local toy shop, where it had to be ordered first. I guess, it was end of September 20. The colour of the said "Pin with Pinhole" in lime is better than what the first reviews showed, but the hole lime green coloured parts have very different shades. Even the liftarms are slightly different coloured. It's the same in 42105 (catamaran). The blue pieces in 42112 (concrete mixer) are also slightly inconsistent, and the reds in 42107 (ducati) too.
  7. This looks very clean, the buckets are moving quite fast and the hole bulid is pretty smooth, I like it very much. Great job! What I don't get is, why you put a splitter in there?

[MOC] The Night of the Owls

Wow this is a really amazing work! The explosion is fantastic, is it fixed on the roof or just laid in a hole?
  10. Hi community - or "Moin" as we say in Northwestern of Germany! I'm reading this forum since 2013 and I still love it, so I decided finally to sign in. As a kid and adolescent I loved at first the pirates theme and after that I sticked in technic. To my 16th birthday my parents bought me the 8459 which is one of the best technic sets I think. After that my dark ages began. In 2005 (Christmas) my wife bought me the 8421, but the dark ages went on. I guess, they ended in 2013 when my oldest son played with his duplo and I found the exciting fun in building again. Now my own kids are growing and they love my old sets, so I have begun buying some creator sets for them and technic sets for me I'm glad to be here! Greetings Focus
