30. Ye Olde Race Car

Hello all,

This is my entry for the competition. It is based on the most awful Technic set in my collection: The Bucket Truck

8071-1.jpg

Here's the link to my WIP topic: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=102063

I call it "Ye Olde Race Car" :)

The car is rather small, so there are a lot of left over pieces.

800x533.jpg

Here are some pictures:

800x533.jpg

800x533.jpg

It has hand-of-god steering on the back. And there's also a fake exhaust system.

800x533.jpg

The driver's steering wheel actually works and the driver also has a fake speedometer.

800x533.jpg

800x533.jpg

I hope you like it.

34. Ultra Racer

My entry consists of a small (super) car based off 42022 which contains 414 parts. The parts provide a suitable selection perfect for building cars, however unlike the original set, the ultra racer has features seen in many large scale super cars. The intention was to make it look like a toy, hence the ariel at the back, replicating that of an RC car.

42022_2.jpg

EUROBRICKSTC5Final_zps8c56ccd5.png

Features

- 2 Speed gearbox (red lever)

- Pendular front axle

- HoG steering (yellow lever) with working steering wheel

- 2 Cylinder engine

- Adjustable rear wing(s)

40. Hovercraft

I've chosen set 9394 with 499 pieces to build HOVERCRAFT.

9394-1.jpg

Its main feature is quite unique steering. It turns just pair of rudders instead of whole propeller as you can see among official hovercraft models.

This is list of all functions:

  • three wheels chassis
  • front axle drives propeller
  • rear axle "HOG" steering that also turns pair of rudders
  • opening windscreen
  • steering wheel and adjustable seat in cab

You can find more about it in this topic.

46. Yellow Mars Rover

I hope this isn't too late, as I am in the Eastern Time Zone, and there was no mention about what time zone the contest uses for ending.

For this contest I chose to use sets 8047 and 8067. I don't own either set, so I got all the pieces that I had for both sets.

71lecqiu9xl._sl1412_.jpg81x9xgcdbgl._sl1500_.jpg

I made a Mars rover, not modeled after any particular one.

This model features full pendular suspension, moveable satelite dish, moveable tool arm, and a panoramic camera controlled by black gear in back.
