Lox Lego Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) This custom creation was created with a variety of old and new Technic pieces for a different effect to the final build. Designed by an actual Porsche mechanic and myself. Original: Rework: FInal version: Edited February 23, 2016 by Lox Lego
Paul Boratko Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) we created this model in perfect 1:8 scale The dimensions of this model are nowhere near 1:8 scale.. Edited January 31, 2016 by Paul Boratko
Vectormatic Posted January 31, 2016 Its not a bad mock, but if you'd shown this two weeks earlier (before the pic of the official 911 set) it wouldve look a LOT better.
agrof Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) It is a nice moc, the scale is for me whatever, I see the improvement in your works. Just go on with building, and never forget to enjoy the build! On the bad note: I suggest to avoid such " yellow press journalist" style titles, especially in very January of the year. pgplay Posted January 31, 2016 Sorry, It's ok, but it's far from the best of 2016, there were much better looking mocs in previous years as well. The headlights look somwhat strange, not finished, the hood is way to low and to flat. The back looks more like a DeLorean than a 911. The worst thing however is that you stated that it's maximum detail, Porsche mechanic and perfect scale, which is and will be cause for more criticism than praise. Best of luck next time. Thanks for the input guys. I guess at 2am last night I was thinking it was my best creation of 2016 so far... I do appreciate the honesty in the feedback, will push me to keep working harder to design and discuss better. I'm still a bit of a noob here so bear with me till I get it. Lox Lego Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) I've fixed up the front end of my Porsche headlights and a few Other things. Using older and new panels, I've pieced together a revised rendition of a Porsche 911. Edited February 13, 2016 by Lox Lego
Sylvian Posted February 6, 2016 Defenitely not bad,.. but i think can do even better!
Lox Lego Posted February 6, 2016 (edited) Defenitely not bad,.. but i think can do even better! Lol agreed. This set had used up all of my black technic, I've got to get more pieces. Edited February 11, 2016 by Lox Lego
Milan Posted February 6, 2016 You should have used your older Porsche topic, instead of making a new one for updated design. People could see the difference more easily. This version is better, but still too flat and blocky. Iportant thing is that you keep trying to improve it and learn in the process. Chossing a (much) easier car to design is probably better step forward. 911 is a nightmare to replicate with Lego.
OmgItsNitro Posted February 9, 2016 it's a great start, you can focus more on getting the curves right and placing the lights higher. can't wait for updates!
Lox Lego Posted February 11, 2016 (edited) I've fixed up the front lights to be more like a Porsche headlight. I also got rid of the red fenders at front for a narrower black fender. So far all I have are photos, but I'll post a video soon. Edited February 13, 2016 by Lox Lego
Sylvian Posted February 11, 2016 Lol agreed. This set had used up all of my black technic, I've got to get more pieces. Does anyone know which old technic sets had tons of black and rare pieces in it? Shit,.. i just see i said i,. When i ment u, that must've sounded cocky :/
Lox Lego Posted February 12, 2016 After way too many adjustments I am happy to say this is the final modification to my Porsche 911 Lego supercar. I added some fun power functions to it, the motorized wing is a first for me. Time to sleep now
