Up and down the Heavely Mountains

Recommended Posts

Shivering Ettu continued his journey south and after leaving the Clan Lands he came upon the Heavenly Mountains, the highest peaks of all the lands in Historica. The climb was hard and dangerous, with strong winds that threatened to push him off the small ledges. Ettu also had this strange feeling that he was being watched, even though he never saw another person during his time in the mountains.

When Ettu reached the final pass in the mountains he decided he had had enough of walking and climbing and took out a big piece of leather from his pack. He placed himself on top of it and went down the mountain in great speed. Luckily enough he managed to avoid the rocks and trees that came in his way, even if it was a bit too close for his liking sometimes.

So, Shivering Ettu is getting closer and closer to his goal, but will he make it there in one piece? Stay tuned for more scenes from his travels in Mitgardia!

Man, where will Ettu go next? Great MOCs, the downhill sled has got to be one of my favorite snow MOCs.

I have to say that the first picture is a little too blocky landscaping for my taste, but I love everything about the second one! Very nice tree design and good job on making it vertical too! :classic:

If you keep those MOCs coming at this pace, soon SK will have a contender to the title of "Mitgardia's MOCing machine"

My favourite here is definitely the downhill sliding, it really conveys an impression of motion in an excellent way. Like HammerBro I think the landscaping in the first build is a little too blocky however.

Great MOCs, for some reason I really like that first one, simplistic but it turned out great!

Good work with the second one too!

Thanks guys! :sweet:

I like how you have different opinions about the first build, I myself have some mixed feelings over it. I tried a lot of different techniques for it with for example sideways slopes, SNOT cheese slopes and tiles, but came to the conclusion that I wanted a more simple and staggered look. I do think that perhaps it's a bit too simplistic, but I didn't want to built it too big either. I'll keep in mind your comments and suggestion for the next rocky build I'll make. :classic:

The second build was just for laughs really, not much thought behind the design but it turned out okay I think. It's hard to make snow look good in LEGO since the soft curves always gets broken up by the hard, rectangular lines by the bricks. Thankfully Ettu's travels is bringing him to less snowy areas soon.

Man i love that booksled! Looks like so much fun... I actually don't mind the blockiness of the first moc, but the composition does have a bit of a static look to it. Maybe if the path was on an incline or something, that would help?

I look forward to seeing where shivering Ettu ends up next!

Two more excellent Mitgardian scenes  I like your snow effect in the first build, simple but effective. The tree in the second build is a nice touch :classic:

hehe, I really like the second pic, very nice snow slope there. I'm not quite sure what to make of the first one tough. However, great to see more mocs of actually landscapes in Mitgardia!

Great job on this moc. The usage of the book and the tree is particularly nice
