I added my own "gripe", that there are still some occasional sets suffering from "too little butter over too much bread", i.e. the set design suffers for being arranged to "look big". Most of the existing gripes are not a major concern for me, although I did include the reduction in quality. The colour issue doesn't concern me as much as the brick tolerances. They are poorer recently, and although not too problematic yet, they are no longer quite good enough. It certainly wouldn't want to go the least bit further downhill.

Rather scary to even roughly tot up the amount spent on Lego in the year. Looks like approx €2000. I've almost certainly underestimated. But it wasn't all for me! Meanwhile ebay, bricklink, etc. only accounts for 20%!

Overall I'm delighted with Lego in the last year or two. I do think it is a new golden age, and for all the cries of juniorisation, many sets have never had such intricate detail as they have now. Themes are fun, not only kid-friendly, but a certain "fun" value that anyone should be able to appreciate.

It was a good survey I must say, I just hope they actually listen to what we have to say. Eurobricks was of course at the top of my list, and it was indeed very scary coming up with a figure on the amount spent on LEGO this year. I'm not even going to say I'm that embarrassed. Anyway, I had about 35% of my spending coming from Bricklink and eBay, so that probably helped to hitch up my total a bit.

It does feel like this was definitley AFOL focused for a change, e.g. the 9v, colour and quality questions.

I voted for more exclusives and more in the Cafe Corner modular range.

My 'secondary market' ie bricklink, spend came out at around 10% - is there an EB poll in this somehwere?

Hmm not trying to cause anything here but I believe that Fabuland should be kept in the past. <insert that tiresome argument> pieces are one thing but many of you like it because it was nostalgic from your childhoods. If Lego is not ready to bring back better themes such as western because they believe that there is no interest for younger children in cowboys and such in this modern world then i fear that the idea of big animal figures and very few pieces in the set would get the same approach from the company.

If they did come back Lego would probably try to make it more modernised, which i'm pretty convinced you guys wouldn't want

As I said before no argument just my opinion, I think Lego needs to keep the themes they have and focus on them

Like many others, I put Eurobricks at the top of my list but what I found most interesting was them asking about 9V trains, was this the only theme to get an individual mention? Perhaps the RC ones aren't selling so well and maybe all is not going according to plan with the new planned to be released train system.

Thanks for letting me know about this. I completed the survey. My one gripe that I added is that LEGO is still not actively trying to really get girls and women into LEGO as a hobby. A one of the minority of women out there, it saddens me that more girls don't know enough about LEGO to be interested in it.

I have to admit though that LEGO is getting better in that respect too. With sets like the Taj Mahal and the upcoming Medieval Market Village I see a small, but bright light. If they didn't focus on the fact that everything for girls has to be pink, and focused more on girls actual interests, LEGO might finally get the other half of the population.

At least LEGO is finally asking us what we want, although my other grip with the survey was that you could only pick 5 choices and not pick the whole list and add your own ideas. Hopefully some good things will come from this.

It is aweosme that the TLC listen us the AFOLs. I voted for the decrease of the prices of the sets cause this year SW line is highly overpriced like many other themes. I also put Eurobricks like my favorite fan website and added Brickhorizon to the list .

I added that I would like less store exclusives. The closest TRU is five hours away, and there are so many good TRU exclusives.

Thanks CopMike for highlighting this survey to us. I have added a comment, hoping that TLG could extend his Shop@Home services to Singapore, so we are able to purchase exclusive LEGO sets such as the Medieval Market Village directly. In this way, we are able to obtain such sets via the correct channel. Another possible alternative will be allowing LEGO Singapore to receive distribution rights to release such sets in here, by giving AFOLs in Singapore a chance to purchase these sets.

As I have a record of my LEGO spending, the spending questions are not difficult for me, but I am really alarmed by the figures .

I used this opportunity to complain about pearled plastic pieces and stickers. Those cheap-looking pearly pieces are my number one Lego gripe right now.
