Before he made orbit, he already knew that his homesteading plans were ruined by the sudden turmoil in the galaxy. "Dora. My transmission cutout when I hit atmosphere. What's the status on our 01-03 and 09-11 fronts?" "I'm sorry to report that negotiations have failed with M.A.N.T.I.S. and Kawashita have also chosen to dishonor their treaties. C.E.O. Pombe has sent out a message to the troops and hopes to recruit more commanders to the fight. Our ranks are swelling and a Commander O'Reilly has just wrapped up a very successful bombing run on D02. Location: F10 - Arium Major Tags: Military, Land Vehicle, Building Gattsu? Melanie Mashkov - Murakumo Security, take that armor of and come with me, it's time for your training. Ok I'll just take this thing off and- Statement: Master I am afraid that is not an option, removing F3NR1R may disrupt the Nanomites that bonded with your body and thus result in potential organ failure. Well frag, that's just lovely. Wait, what if I have to use the bathroom? I'll see if I can find some kind of solution, I need to work on disconnecting you from the really expensive suit anyway or we'll all be in trouble. Fine, in the mean time just come with me, we are going to Arium Major for combat training. (Gattsu and Melanie take a shuttle to an abandoned Kawashita base on F10) This seems like a strange place to come for a training exercise, couldn't we've just used the holodeck or something? Don't worry, just stand right there while I get on this freight elevator. (Hangar-bay doors open and a large machine comes rolling into the hangar.) Oh frag, is that a Goliath Tank Drone, those aren't even legal for companies to- You'd better defend yourself, it's set to search and destroy mode. (The Goliath begins to tear up the room with it's Gattling arm mount.) Statement: Master I recommend activating Combat mode and dodging it's attacks, finding a weapon would also be advised. Bloody megablocks, frag frag frag, doesn't this suit have any build in weapons. Statement: Negatory Master, the F3NR1R is an enhancement type suit, while not equipped with weaponry it does come with jump jets. (Gattsu manages to avoid the hailfire and snatches a crowbar, while the Goliath now attempts to roast Gattsu with it's Napalmer thanks to the jump jets Gattsu manages to jump over the machine and jams a crowbar in it's exhaust vents disabling the drone.) Wow, I'm somehow quicker, more responsive. Statement: Affermative Master, as previously mentioned, you are wearing an enhancement type suit. You brute! You're not elegant at all. (How did those idiots think your Kawashita special forces material.) Elegant? Well at least you did one thing right, you managed to pinpoint and strike out at it's weak spot, good operatives know that everything has a weak spot. (I suppose you might be special forces material after all.) Wait, what are you talking about? This was a test, to see if you're really suited to be a special forces operative. Didn't they tell you? No. They did now. So am I like a spy now or something? I doubt it, they probably hired you to wreck things. So what's your weak spot? I don't have a weak spot. But you just said everything has a- Oh shut up. Comments, Criticism, Suggestions, Advice etc are always appreciated.

Locaton: F10 - Arium Major Tags: Building = = = = = = = = = = Alexander and his team was sent on Arium Major to supervise the final stages of the new harbour under construction on the north continent. Part of the harbour was defended by a dam, keeping water inside calm and shielded by the wind and storms of the outside ocean. They were now doing a little inspection tour of the finished thing. = = = = = = = = = Hello everyone, this is a MOC I builded last year, around the end of November and the start of December but then life was busy as it is now so yeah... Locaton: F10 - Arium Major Tags: Building = = = = = = = = = The harbour's dam ended in the rocky side of the mainland and Alexander Vandangant and his group arrived there while doing their tour of inspection. Above the dam, there was a control and artillery emplacement, accessible from the road on the dam too. One of his team mates was checking at the door for that emplacement before going on with their inspection. = = = = = = = = = Hello everyone! Diligence, a beauty of a vessel, First and hopefully not the last of her class. With it's Prototype Energy Core and advanced capabilities, there isn't much this 150-man vessel cannot do. This is one beauty of a ship. I can't wait to get onboard and explore it. Captain: I am Captain Thomas Duponte of the O.C.S. Diligence and you are late. Ragnos: my apologies, nobody told me I was even assigned to this vessel until 15 minutes ago. Captain: well, Chief, at least you are here now. Meet your fellow Bridge Crew, Lieutenant Cody Meirs and Lead Science Officer Frazz. Frazz: Can't talk... ...Theory needs solving. Running algorithms. Cody: Hey Chief, nice to meet you. When you've gotten settled, could you come look at my Food Dispencer. Only creates Bacon for some reason, not that that's entirely a bad thing. Captain: Now that the pleasantries are over, we should go to the bridge. Captain Duponte to the Dilligence, beam us up. 2 minutes later. I'm experimenting with different ways to tell the story and I'm not entirely sure this method is any good but alas, I can't get on my computer for a while and upload pictures for each character so I will leave it like this for now. My next project will be for the challenge but I'm not sure what I will build. Can't decide between a farm, a ship converted into a home or an apartment. How built up is Farmolis? Is it like a second earth or is it closer to a colony?

Hi all, I have been experimenting with my first attempt at a battleship - photos attached. Comments or suggestions most welcome but keep in mind I have tried to cap the width of the ship at 14 studs to fit in with other ships eg LEGO's Maersk and I have tried to create a style ship more akin to WWI - WWII eras. The ship is still a work in progress although is unlikely to change drastically for now. Apologies in advance at quality of some of the pictures... bit blurry.

Hi, Today I'd like to present to you my latest model. M24 Chaffee - american light tank developed in the later part of WWII. Served also during several pastwar conflicts like Korean War, in Alegeria and finally in first nad second Indiochina wars. As usually my model is made in 1:40 scale. It's very simple build' done only during two evenings, no special fatures except rotating turret. Some thumbnails - click for larger images. I hope you like it. C&C are kindly apreciated. So, being a Call of Duty fan and a military builder, I started wondering what a LEGO Military theme would be like. IMO, if they make one, it should just be one-sided sets, like a Humvee and a squad of soldiers, or a helicopter with its crew. Personally, I'd leave the enemy building to kids, but at least have tanks, trucks and helicopters. Now, TLG has already made helmets (7595), vests (4439 or 8971) and various guns like the Tommy guns and pistols for Batman/Indiana Jones, and other themes. Face it: they've made guns, and pretty detailed ones at that, they've put them in themes based on movies including violence/death like SW, Batman, and Indiana Jones, and the Agents' theme has pistols. If parents allow kids to buy sets like these, why not make a theme like this? Plus, they have the age range on sets saying that this set was made to be built by kids or teens or adults. Other LEGO knock-off themes have done it, and LEGO kind of has started to do so. So what do you think? Should LEGO make a Military theme or not? I say yes.

Hello friends! I have been entertaining myself recently with LDD. I have always loved aviation and especially military planes. I have seen some beautiful large-scale builds of the famous SR-71 Blackbird but they are always so huge, and I had some ideas to make a smaller, more practical model, perhaps sacrificing detail for the sake of practicality. Hi, Lately I haven't come around posting any of my MOCs, however I felt that this had to change. So, to start of with, here's my latest creation: the Pegasus UAV. It's an unmanned remotely operated helicopter featuring the latest within surveillance and weapons technology. It was developed to operate from the new corvette (HMS Svea) that I'm currently working on (there's a sneak preview on it on one of the pictures). So here is my contribution to the ever growing Mercedes Geländewagen MOC car park that's been popping up here lately! I've been wanting to build this ever since I got back into Technic about half a year ago, and Effermans brilliant small AWD chassis was pretty perfect, and finally made me realize the plan. This is my first MOC to prioritize form over function If memory serves me correctly, the "Multi Light" was originally a modified and chopped version of the already modified "Ultra Light" used by the Norwegian Army. The roof is gone, and an all around roll cage has been fitted instead. I think it was ordered by the Special Forces, to fit inside American Chinook helicopters. In addition, a more heavy duty ring mount was placed on top to accomodate heavier weapons (typically a .50 cal M2 machine gun or a 40mm Mk.19 or GMG), and it was stripped further down to reduce weight and increase performance. In essence, it is a platform to bring as much firepower in a small package as possible quickly around in rugged terrain. The particular model I've based my MOC on, was further developed and improved by Arctic Trucks of Iceland. They fitted a turbo, far better suspension and brakes as well as bigger wheels and various other improvements. Here is a promotional picture of the original vehicle: And here is my Lego interpretation of it: It is a truly great car, except when it's raining, as it doesn't have a roof nor windshield, and when people are shooting at you, as it doesn't really provide much protection. In the above picture you can see the reason for the roll cage being attached to the centre, rather than the right hand side: it allows the commander of the car to have a wider field of fire with his mounted LMG. The seats are not full due to the motors and transmission layout, but that doesn't really matter. I fit a working steering wheel, and the red 2L axles are supposed to be the firing buttons for the smoke grenade launchers. The winch is also very much form over function, but it does "work" A lot of old style connectors were used for the roll cage, as I didn't have enough of the newer fixed angle ones Oh yeah; neither battery box nor IR receiver were mounted when I shot the pictures. For the main weapon I opted for a 40mm automatic grenade launcher, loosely based on the Mk.19 and HK GMG. And no; the ring doesn't actually turn. I also made a sniper rifle in roughly the same scale as the car, (very loosely) based on the M82 anti material rifle I want to thank Efferman a whole lot for making the brilliant chassis and sharing it with us all! :thumbup: -

Behind the bling-bling paint job lies an experimental power core more suited to a small corvette than a fighter-gunship. Accordingly, the Gearheads murdered the research team before the technology could fall into other hands and diminish their advantage. F-12 'Swingwing' by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The F-12 forms the latest step in a line of snubfighters designed to be affordable but effective, given decent pilots and superior numbers. The basic model features standard cannon and shields, as well as a tree-shaped air-freshener as standard. For fancy things like rockets and jump capability..? You're going to have to pay extra. G-20 'Flying Saucer' by skapunkplaything, on Flickr Combining multi-vector engines with a potent arsenal, the G-20 became an expensive toy favoured by well-fed mercenaries and executive bodyguards in Solar corporations. Capable of taking on four regular fighters single-handed, the G-20 cost eight times as much. Many people skipped the math, leaving the 'Saucer a rare sight. *** Apologies for the terrible photo-quality, my camera is currently out of service, but I wanted to share regardless.

Sector: A04 Tags: Military, Vehicle, Spaceship, Land Vehicle Begin Log: I travel over the surface of Mynderis in the new M.A.N.T.I.S. Fly Class Flyer, searching for the "special package" I'm supposed to pick up. I've found it! Switching from Fly mode to Raven mode for landing. Secured the M.A.N.T.I.S. Tank. I'll drill around the perimeter until a driver reports in. Some back and front detailing. I've found a quiet lava spring to drill into. Group shot: End Log This was my first attempt at more detailed vehicles and landscapes. I'm very happy with how the tank's cockpit function turned out, how much detail I packed in, and how complicated a build it was. It's hard to see them, but I've even added a few car fenders/bumpers to the tank. Comments welcome!

Location: D04 Terrial Minor Tags: Engineering, Structures, Military, Piracy Job: Engineer Engineer's Log: 26 Julali 3815 ORB and I have just finished with the new landing pad for an advanced light spacecraft currently under construction. Along with the landing pad, we were assigned the task of developing and building a deep space sensors piracy tower. Any data collected from any deep space sensors placed on this planet will now be automatically re-routed to a receiver inside the tower itself. Using the new advanced light spacecraft we can now fly in, download the data to on board computers and fly out in a matter of minutes. It gives us more information on the strange signals coming from the center of the galaxy. "Ok, ORB, hold that panel still while I finish securing it". "ORB"? "What is it, you seem ill at ease"? "My Lady, I don't know, something feels off". "Are your operating systems functioning properly"? "Yes, my Lady, I just ran a diagnostic and all is within normal range" "ORB, what you are feeling is us being watched, from a short distance by two of the local population". "We are being watched"! "Yes, ORB, by peaceful Terrrians". "I don't see them my Lady, all I see are strange plants". "Why do you think I had you wear plants today....so you would appear peaceful as well". Rootin’, tootin’, ready for shootin’! Mr. S: Yeah, well, the last time you shot something, you took out one of our planes! Blackhawk: What was that pilot’s name again? Oh, well, he isn’t pressing charges, so who cares? Mr. S: Hmm… Let’s see. I do, for one. And so does the board. We lose enough equipment due to MANTIS activity. We don’t need to lose more because of an over-eager pilot! Even Aera couldn’t defend your actions. She was sitting quietly in the corner pretending not to know you! Blackhawk: Am I being (gulp!) grounded? Mr. S: No, we can’t afford to do that. You’re a hell of a pilot. You handle anything that flies like no one I’ve ever seen. It’s just that you’re overly… enthusiastic. You need to rein that in a bit. Blackhawk: Umm… Yes, sir. What do you want me to do? Mr. S: We have intel that MANTIS is sending a supply convoy to Terrial Minor. We want to intercept them with a Kestrel in orbit before they make planetfall. Blackhawk: Yes, sir! On my way! Blackhawk, moving out!! Mr. S: Hey, at least up there, there isn’t anyone else for him to shoot down… After last week's un-inspired session, I did a little research. I've felt like I needed to up my game a bit, and I think I came up with some possibilities. This is the first attempt in my build style change. I think it's going in a good direction. Builded as a joint venture between the civilian and the military branches of Kawashita Corporation, this green house were built on Vollfort as a Botany Laboratory; the planet was an arid desert, with little fauna and flora, perfect to place a Botany Lab with very little interference from the outside environment. Engineer Alexander Vandangant was tasked to build the compound and, in a matter of days and hard works, he builded one of the most advanced greenhouses of the galaxy with all the needed to conduct any type of reaserach around the fauna world, like adavanced laboratory and cold storages. Now the head scientist, is giving him a tour of the compound in fully operative, with people working and studying the flora. = = = = = = = = = Here we are! I finally finished this build; it took me a while, first it started as a zero-G greenhouse to be used on space stations, but then, finding some technical and style issues, I changed completely idea going for a planet-type building. I really like the outcome and I hope you Enjoy it!

M.A.N.T.I.S Special Forces log: Myra Dynarski 27 Junali 3815, Jurin II Previous entry Having intercepted Octan communications about "Undead Artichokes", M.A.N.T.I.S. scientists began work on a top-secret project. Unfortunately, someone must have confused artichokes with chayotes. They're both green, alright? Even more unfortunately, Octan must have heard about this, and sent spies to sabotage the project. One managed to release the prototype before he was killed. I got called in to contain the creature before it could escape into the jungle.
