  1. Thats one nice looking table. If you have the modulars, it's a great layout to do one long street of them in that big open space. I like how you created a long stretch of track, too.
  2. Well, all, another MOC to add to the list... I have always wanted to have a crocodile engine ever since the 7551 came out (Red Crocodile) . Sine I didn't have the opportunity to get one, I have decided to MOC one of my own. I was inspired by the Austrian OBB E94 Crocodile Electric Engine (I know it's not exact; but, gave me the inspiration to get it rolling to where it is now. This is only a WIP as I am waiting on PF functions and some parts from Bricklink to finish it up. It's running on 9V at the moment to test the curves - and yes, it does very well on the curves. I am quite happy how it's turning out; especially being able to find parts in my own OLD collection to make the pantographs Enjoy while progress continues when parts get in the next week or two
  3. I want some 2x2 tan tiles... I just went to my store and they didn't have anything good... :(
  4. ...its always nice to have a few sets backlogged incase the internet and TV goes out - didn't really want to do anything outside since it was so hot out. So, grabbed the Exo Suit and a Lego Movie set out of the closet, and built those. Still have PR and PC in the closet for stormy or boring days sitting at home
  5. +1 with Picture Reviews. I am mostly interested in the pieces. I also like to see the set(s) built with close-up shots
  6. Mine wen from "Backordered" to "In-Process" Woot! Looks like my 2nd one is coming soon. Keeping one boxed and building the second one. Happy Kamper again
  7. An amazing build video! I'm sure it took a lot of time and patience to put together.
  8. Nice enhancement to the original model
  9. These modulars are what got me out of my dark ages and into my LEGO hobby. If it weren't for these modulars, I wouldn't have LEGO as a relaxing hobby
  10. The set is starting to actually grow on me because every time I look at it, I know I can MOD certain parts of it to make it to my tasting. It's certainly not on my priority "to-buy" list. I really like the sleigh and the toy machine, and the elf mini-figs. The huge Clock above the door, well, I am going to try to incorporate this white clock in place of it somehow, and see how it looks. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4150px1
  11. Very Cute and very creative! The train is such a nice touch!
  12. Got lucky with my latest Lego Store visit! Scored one of these sets while a lady had to put one back for buying "too many" at the register. I was like bam!! Score! Even though I am not totally thrilled about the set, the reason I picked it up was an investment and to keep my IDEAS collection going. Too bad I totally missed out on the first 2 that came out.
  13. ...Decided to go check out the PaB wall at my local Lego store for something to do since I had the day off. Well, while stacking my big cup of green 1x2 slopes (which I was shocked they had on the wall) I happened to spot the Exo Suit on the shelf right next to the PaB wall. I decided to leave my cup for a few quick seconds...ran over to pick it up and went back to my cup. While packing my cup some more, a customer had to put back one of the Research Institute. I was like bam!! Scored the Exo Suit and Research Institute! The lady who does the wall mentioned they just got an EXTRA shipment of Exo Suits this morning - there were only five left on the shelf...perfect timing!
  14. I would suggest bricklink; but, there are pieces on bricklink that come to be about the same price on PaB like the 1x2 flat plates for example. What I usually do is a price comparison and ask the question where can I get the best price per piece at - PaB, Bricklink, or in bulk at the LEGO store. The advantage of buying on PaB is the VIP points - order in October for double points if you go this route. I placed an order close to $1000 in PaB pieces and the VIP points were nice I used the points towards another Haunted House that is now my warehouse to my train station.
  15. I can relate in a way, too. I "played" with Lego ever since I was 7 years old. I collected and built LEGO all the way through middle school, high school, and even college. It was the only thing I was good at at the time. I was never god at sports, not even book smart (school was not an interest I had until I hit college where I needed a degree for a job). Even to this day, I still play and build LEGO. I was teased that I still played with LEGO. I did a few presentations during Middle School on what my favorite hobby was. Way to stick to your true self! End the end, you'll find those who have the same true interest you do.
  16. ^^Yep, just got that email tonight - got it 4 days after ordering my Exo Suit. Still hoping it ships out when I ordered it saying "will ship in 30 days"...
  17. Where is the AFOL testing?!?! ha-ha joking... Just imagine though!
  18. Ha-ha - yea, people give me a weird look when I start feeling the bags (especially the employees). The funny part is, customers come up to me and ask, "What are you doing...Can you help me find this one?"
  19. ...mine is on backorder per my order history under my Lego account online. Now I am getting nervous - the website now says temporaily sold out and I ordered it the morning of August 2nd. If I miss this set, I'm going cry...I really want this thing.
  20. I remember putting together Cafe Corner in the summer of 2007. I was thrilled and excited to build it. I'm considering taking all of the modulars apart and cleaning them some time soon just like you did to give it a fresh new look. Plus, it would be fun to rebuild it. And yes; I definitely like how the roof was done. I applied the same roof concept to my train station facade and roof.
  21. Totally worth building it for yourself for sure! It's yours to enjoy and to keep in your collection. I wouldn't sell it if I were in your shoes with those sets.
  22. Went ahead and ordered the Exo Suit online even though it says "will ship in 30 days". Hopefully they hold to their words - I don't feel like checking the store every day or missing out from just waiting for it to be in stores.
  23. Dang-it...the Exo Suit is sold out online. Gonna check out the Lego Store tomorrow morning...see if they have any in stock.
  24. I see we get the Holiday Set in September which is cool. That's a lot of spending for one white spaceman; but, I can see why Lego can use the white spaceman to their advantage to pull in more sales.
