I know...I am thinking maybe I'll buy 2 of everything - build one, and let the 2nd sit for a few years...then sell to make a little profit. I mentioned it to TLG over the phone when I wanted to exchange a 2nd Haunted House for the Town Hall - I mentioned people re-selling sets at a higher price...she fawned on it. She said LEGO doesn't like it...

I really like how you made the curve work as the front of the building using hinges. Great interior details...love those bookcases, and the latter is a nice touch, too. The colors work real well, too.

Work still continues. Just ordered another 500 pieces from brick-link to create a front overhang, and a Haunted House from S@H for Sand Green Pieces and windows for the warehouse that'll go to the left of the station.

Great work, and excellent job on the front window technique - those windows are hard to look right..but, you accomplished it perfectly. Nice work!

Very detailed work - great job! That burger sign is creative, along with that cool looking car and truck. Again, it's all nicely detailed its hard to pick just one favorite.

You touched on something I see nothing wrong with. I feel completely okay if others get inspiration from others - especially LEGO and other members of the community. As long as LEGO builds on, and grows with, our building techniques - we grow on each other. And I would want LEGO to continue building off our ideas so they can keep creating models that have our taste and interest...like this model. I'm just happy we have someone like Jamie to keep giving us amazing sets :) just my 2 cents...

I am in love! Best Modular by far! LOVE the color choice and design!

I really like the small little details you put into it - the sign above the front door, and the pots hanging on the windows. Nice details for the interior as well - nice color usage.

Updated Pictures. I redid some of the cafe last week, and just completed the Front Entrance last night and this morning. Enjoy as the WIP continues!

KringlesBricks replied to kermit's topic in LEGO Town
I just got mine. It's currently showing "Available" when you click the item via the Shop-at-Home US site. -
Really like the front of the building. Nice touch with the story line on the walk through the museum.

It's one of the best detailed design Maersk in my opinion. I'll give him props for a great design; I always like his creations the best. The ship very unique and rare parts in the model which is tempting to buy just for the parts to use toward MOC's. The stickers is always a let down for me to on whether to get a set or not...due to them falling off or ruining bricks. I usually just leave them off anyways on all my models. But, seriously...how many times will LEGO re-deisgn this ship? I am more tempted to hold my $150 and wait for the Parisian Restaurant.

I really like how you cleaned up the layout compared to how it was before - looks even better. It looks much cleaner. Nice!

MOD: Combined Station: 7937+2150+7937+++
KringlesBricks replied to Heppeng's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I remember that station coming out long time ago - I begged my parents if I can get it. I really like how you combined the sets to make it one station. Nice work. -
Sure...I am Kris, and I am new to the forum; but, have been an avid LEGO fan since the day my father bought me a small LEGO fire engine for my birthday when i was 5 or 6 years old. Then when I was a Teen, my parents bought me the LEGO 9v Train Set 4563 I got into the train and modular LEGO builds and MOC's when the first Cafe and Market Street came out as the start of the Modular buildings by Lego. I started to collect all these buildings...and thought of adding a custom train to create a "city". I felt LEGO didn't have a LEGO passenger train that suited my taste...so, I built a custom Passenger Train. Then, after the train biuld, I came to realize...I need a station for this custom Train! ha-ha. I only have a passenger train and this WIP Train Station for my train building history - I'm hoping to expand my MOC's in Trains and city layouts. Here is a small update...I added a pathway to the platform and cafe with a few seating and planter boxes...

Cool! Very clever...I'm liking the zoo approach. The Monkey Exhibit would be my favorite.

Thanks, Rick.

UPDATED: 10/29/2013 Added progress pictures As time went by I patiently waited to see if LEGO Creator would release a Train Station. My patience ended after a 3-4 year wait. I decided to go all in and create a train station from scratch using LDD as my aid. Below is the construction phase currently in progress of the Train Station. The building will sit on 6 green plates total (96 studs X 64 Studs). The station will have a cafe/bar, waiting / ticketing area, and a baggage / cargo area along with features and landscaping. The building has a current brick count of 6500 pieces. I'm sure when it's all said and done...I'll have close to 10,000 bricks. Below are actual construction phases of the project: Enjoy...

Hello fellow members of EuroBricks! I've been reading the forums and looking at all your cool creations finally deciding to join the community. It's great to see many others with the same interest and hobby as do I. Many people I know think it's only a "kids" toy - I learn to ignore them and brick-on. I Wanted to introduce myself to you all... I'm currently living in New Hampshire - recently moved from a town called Santa Claus in Southern Indiana, USA. I created my screen name "Kringle" (Kris being my first name and the first name of "santa" ) + "Bricks" (as in the LEGO brick). My favorite themes and items are as follows Train - either the Emerald Night or Horizon Express - a tie Creator - Green Grocer Modular City - Random sets to steal pieces to for MOC projects or add-ons to my modular buildings - ha-ha! I'm currently working on a 10,000 piece plus Modular Train Station 94 studs long X 32 Studs wide - gathering bricks from LEGO Pick-a-Brick and Bricklink stores. I'll be posting pictures soon in the LEGO Town of this current project on where it stands. Here is a photo of just a few modulars and a custom LEGO Train I created a few years back with Power Functions added into the Engine.
