  1. That's why I went ahead and pulled the trigger on another one. I spent my $40 VIP points to get it down in price some. I wanted another before it was too late. The GG did the same thing. It said SOLD OUT...then sprang back with a few more in Stock...then went SOLD OUT again permanently
  2. Back up again. Went ahead and ordered another Pet Shop. I want to put 2 side by side mirroring each other The site now says ship date of April 4th for the Pet Shop.
  3. Geez, the Shop at Home crashed again...if they don't want more of my $$$, then it is what it is...
  4. I think you hit the stealing...I went to the Lego Store and they are only leaving 1 of each of the $150 or more sets on the shelves. But, as far as pieces on the wall. I try asking the cashiers and Store Managers. I think it totally depends on the manager thats on duty and the size of the crowd in the store. Sometimes they go get special pieces in the back for me so I have first pick, then they fill the wall. Others will treat me like a "tourist" or someone that doesn't visit as much not knowing I am a frequent buyer :)
  5. I really like the inside...the booths all the figs are sitting in. Thats my favorite as it reminds me of an old school dinner
  6. I just picked up five of these for $3.50 each at Lowe's today. They work amazingly well for tiles and small pieces, and plates like 1x2, 1x1 etc. I'm going back to get more. Flambeau Small Tool Storage Containers
  7. When my grandfather came by the house all the time...he would step on our Lego with his SHOES. I could just hear pieces snap under his shoe because how tall and a big guy he was. On the other hand, my father and mother would pick the piece up and toss it in the trash can, or mom would just suck it up with the vacuum after cursing at the actual piece. I still step on Lego as I don't like wearing socks (especially today with hardwood/tile floor). Hard floor is like a death trap if wearing socks. I have pieces that make it into the kitchen or even my bathroom. haha!
  8. The website is a hit and miss for me. Some days I'll get right on and not have any trouble at all versus other days where it's really slow or "freezes" up on me and have to completely close the browser and get back in. And when I do order online, it seems like it takes forever to process then ship out. I could've gone down the road and picked up the same item the same day versus waiting 1 to 2 weeks for it to arrive via mail. I totally gave up on the website mostly due to being 15 minutes from the Lego Store.
  9. I've learned to control only what I need for my City - which is anything Modular, City, and the elements I need from the PaB wall. If I go with other themes, I'd run out of $$$. The only exception are the Exclusives (i.e. the Mini-Cooper, etc.) Before I learned to control my spending, I went crazy with Lego purchases. I broke the 9000 points since I've had my VIP Card Now I have to control my Bricklink buying...
  10. I just picked up one DO for now; when I get the $$$ to put down for another I will. Also picked up the Ladder Fire Truck for the 50 Bonus VIP points...which got me to 398 in points. The only reason I got the Fire Truck - the VIP points.
  11. Mine went in the trash...the Bionical Poly.
  12. I'm trying to use Safari, and the main page of Shop at Home is sitting trying to load...no luck yet
  13. I wish it was 1x1 trans clear bricks...but, it was the 1x2 bricks. Ooops I didn't realize I put 1x1 instead of 1x2
  14. I saw it at the Lego Store on one of the "middle of the floor" stands. And I still see A LOT of those Valentine's set...that's where I saw the 2 together. It took me a couple laps to find the house in the LEGO store
  15. Downtown Disney Orlando had a nice selection today. Picked up a large cup and small cup full of these: 1x2 Redish Brown Bricks 8x6 Green Plates 1x1 Round Lime Plates 4x4 Dark Blue Grey Plates Pink Flower tops White Flower tops They had other elements like 1x1 trans clear bricks and the 1x2 trans clear windows I was considering getting; but, I needed landscaping elements more than anything.
  16. I would recommend getting the PR and PS for sure; whatever will retire first, get that first. If you can aford both at the same time...get both before they retire. PC is my least favorite...don't care too much for the design.
  17. I honestly like it - it's a nice little build with some cool pieces, too. I just wish I can find it around my area.
  18. Well, here she sits 98% finished. I say 98% because I know I'll be tweaking it off and on. But, I'm glad it's finally done!
  19. This is nicely done - similar to my thoughts of combining 2 DO's I, too, also agree that the door looks best in the middle.
  20. Wow! Nice work...you did a nice job putting in small details to create a cool overall look.
  21. I still have a couple of those motors from the Police Boats (turned the radar in circles)...and the LED fiber optic tubes from the Alien set. that shot red light through the tubes when the motor would turn in circles - cool stuff; but, yes very pricey on COG's
  22. One word - B-e-a-utiful!
  23. Excellent pick IDEAS!! I'm excited for this to come out.
  24. I am not too attached to the TH. My least favorite of them all. Since I have all the modulars for a "set" theme going, I went ahead and got it. I personally would suggest getting the ECTO and Arkham over the TH if you have to make a decision
  25. Absolutely amazing; great job transforming the originally into a nice Lego MOC. Great details added in.
