  1. Welcome aboard, Matthew. USA is the place to live for good LEGO prices.
  2. Got a new telehandler. Single off camera flash full power bounced off a low basement ceiling. Daddy Got a New Telehandler by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  3. Here is the topic I did from a few years back: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/84269-mod-8881-pf-battery-box/
  4. I use a brick separator to disconnect the PF connectors whenever possible. Also it works for removing batteries from the battery boxes. Yes, they are. They replaced my NXT 2.0 when a capacitor inside exploded. It made a loud boom when I turned on the NXT one day and smoke appeared under the LCD glass. I had to sent the broken one back when the new one arrived.
  5. My LUG is doing a display at a hospital's children picnic. I'm going to be running my GBC outside. Hopefully I won't lose too many balls in the grass and it doesn't rain.
  6. Good work on the story.
  7. It depends on what is broken in the motor. If it is the black ribbon wire, then you'll need a soldering iron to remove and reattach a new or repaired wire to the motor. You can use a multimeter to test for continuity of the wires. If it is the motor winding that is burned out, then it might be easier to a new M-motor. You can use LEGO to help disassemble the M motor.
  8. I use memory with transparent drawers, containers and ziplock baggies. Ouch, all those LEGO spills... In Case of Spilled Beer Crying by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  9. There is one way to find out how many gears is too many. Experiment with the motors and gears you plan to use. That's how I do my GBCs since I do not remember my engineering math stuff.
  10. Welcome to Eurobricks, Gianluca.
  11. Thanks. I was trying out the new camera. Is it a Fujifilm XP camera?
  12. Keep big scoop away from cold water... Shrinkage by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  13. Nice. Would lightly spring loaded contacts also work? Although extra magnets could help keep very long heavy trains together better.
  14. Select the POLL tab when starting a new topic. You may have to be at a certain rank level to be able to start polls. If you're not at that level, you can always ask a MOD for help to start poll.
  15. You could try putting your URL inside the IMG tags:

Very nice. It has a diecast model feel and look to it.
