  1. I'll take them if you don't want them. I'm ok with "non-LEGO".
  2. Interesting idea. It'd take some skills to drive over that bridge.
  3. Lack of money really helps manage the addiction. Plus the Pick A Brick wall is an hour drive away.

Chris, nice rims. How about some LEGO center caps for them?
  5. My cats get into LEGO. One of them used the 1000 basic brick container for a litter box. Must always put the lid back on the box. Other cat likes to run off with the pieces. They also like to get into the video camera.
  6. Old Technics, New Technics. I use them all. I mix and match in some GBCs.
  7. I didn't have Technics as a kid. It wasn't around back then. 8294 got me into Technics.
  8. LOL. Clever and funny. Good use of the worm gear.
  9. Nice work. It's an interesting locomotive.
  10. Given the popularity of LEGO now compared to 7 years ago, you have to be fast to get the 50% deals on the S@H website. I think LEGO might be also managing their production and inventory better now so when time to clear out the remaining stock, there aren't as many as before. Sometimes you can get lucky calling the local LEGO Store which might have the set in stock at the discount price. I got some 50% advent calendars that way. There is a bargain hunter saying, "You snooze, you lose."
  11. Welcome to Eurobricks. Which part of Canada are you from?
  12. The blue cargo train uses those doors. I guess it is not too hard to MOD some doors on the ends of the passenger train. There are already windows there. You could make them similiar to the Horizon Express doors.
  13. I think you can still share at your local LUG meetings. Make sure all your fellow LUG members don't have any cameras on them and have them sign a non-disclosure and non-compete agreement. Only after that, bring out the model.
  14. Tried to build a GARC.
  15. Congrats LT. Well done.
  16. Check the tips of your rechargeable AAA batteries and make sure they fit into the hole in front of the metal contacts. Some rechargeables have larger diameter tips that don't permit good contact to the metal. Some people enlarge the hole in the plastic.
  17. Cute stickers and NPU.
  18. Good idea. My old AM/FM radio had a ribbon built in the battery compartment for that purpose. I usually use the new brick separator or fingernails if I haven't trimmed them.
  19. Maybe you can post pics of what the train you're trying to replicate looks like and how far you gotten?
  20. Thanks for sharing. Good layout. That UniKitty is hobo kitty?
  21. Welcome to Eurobricks. You have some very nice trucks. Is 74 the year you were born?
  22. Hello Kitty. Welcome aboard.
