  1. Very nice. Those stickers really give them that extra wow factor.
  2. A sweet trifecta.
  3. Nice little vignette. The passenger train must be using tracks owned by the frieght railroad company and given very low priority.
  4. I like your GG1. Who said, "Buffers can't into Murrika."? There are buffers in America like on Amtrak catenary car.
  5. I was looking at YouTube videos the other day and came across a Christmas train using what appears to be a Constitution Train engine. I don't think the creator is a member of EB.
  6. Nice, we know what they're up to. Pictures are a bit dark but you could add a torch to the pirate's hand to make it look like they are seeking treasure at night.
  7. Thank you all for your kind words. Works in real snow too. Snow Job by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  8. Fabulous. You did a great job capturing the Baldwin nose.
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  10. It's probably not a bad idea to put up the outside Christmas decorations before it gets really cold and snowing. Nothing like getting frost bitten fingers stringing up the lights to say Christmas in Canada.
  11. Welcome aboard, Steckley. Which part of Canada are you from?
  12. Thanks for sharing. That looks like Michael Gale's trains.
  13. LOL. Let the wife take care of it.
  14. Welcome aboard, Charley.
  15. Very well done MOCs. Your genset looks like the 40ft container ones that were place outside our datacenter.
  16. This is probably better answered over at the train forum. For starters, you should get rid of the gatlin gun and replace with gifts. The prisoner wagon can be converted to a passenger wagon. Remove the prison cage and dynamite. The engine and tender can be decorated with Christmas light, garlands, reefs, etc. Add some Christmasy colors to the whole train. That would be some of the changes I would make to it. Here is a picture of the old LEGO Holiday Train to give you some more ideas. Merry Christmas.
  17. I think it might be the lack of weight on top of the drive wheels. Does accelerating slowly help get the train moving without slipping?
  18. I can help with the indexes if zephyr1934 isn't willing.
  19. Great work. The front is unique. You can't forget it. I remember Amtrak in America testing a similar train on their system. They didn't adopt it though.
  20. I find that 60052 engine will slip if accelerated too fast. There isn't a lot of weight over the drive wheels. I used the same train motor in another MOC where the battery box sits on top of it. It works without slipping. You can try a test. Put some weight on the locomotive over the train motor. If it stops slipping, then you'll need to figure out how to add some extra weight or re-arrange the battery box and IR receiver.
  21. Welcome aboard. I think there are some MichLUG members here.
  22. Welcome to Eurobricks. Nice MOC.
  23. Since you're in charge of promoting your LUG, you could start by putting the links to your LUG's website in your signatures. Start an Italy thread like the Canada thread. There are a number of Italian users here. I usually try to find out which part of the country a new Canadian user is located on EB. Anyone in the area can be a potential new LUG member. Ask your LUG members to help spread the word about your LUG. I don't know what kind of budget your LUG has to buy advertisement. Word of mouth is very inexpensive. You could try to hold events outside of your normal area to reach AFOLs in other parts of the country that doesn't already have a LUG present. I think there are two other LUGs in Italia? Buona fortuna.
  24. I believe the indexes were last updated in Nov. 2013 by Fugazi. There is probably a year's worth of material to add. I have an idea of the inner workings of the Pirate section but not sure if Trains is different. A Train Regulator could help the moderator take care of the indexes, merge topics, change topic titles, etc.
