  1. Welcome to Eurobricks, Steve.
  2. I don't ask for Christmas presents or have a wishlist. I am happy with whatever LEGO my kids give me for Christmas.
  3. Great costumes, guys.
  4. Maybe you can make all 3. U50 from GE, C855 from ALCO. That would be so awesome.
  5. No, I am not really worried. I can wait. I waited 5 years for pirates to return next year.
  6. The bar car may go away from the TGV if the cost cutters get their way. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/oct/26/frances-high-speed-tgv-trains-running-out-of-steam-official-report
  7. Very cute!
  8. Neat. So that's how plates are created.
  9. Very smooth!
  10. Nice. Stickers or decals really helps model trains look better. It is worth the effort. Outsourced the printing might be a good group buy or LUG team project, just to spread out the setup costs.
  11. That was quick. I was thinking DD40AX too and I am not a life long UP fan. Do you plan to have it be able to negotiate standard LEGO curves?
  12. I like Philips daylight bulbs. They are around 5000K and readily available at Home Depot. If money is no object, there are professional lights and bulbs at camera shops.
  13. I hate watermarks, plus they are not that hard to edit out for someone with the skills and time.
  14. I designed most of my MOCs for easy removal of the battery box. I don't screw down the battery box top. I just lift up the top part and out it comes with the AAA batteries. I haven't had to run on batteries at shows yet. Last time I borrowed someone's 9V motor and tracks.
  15. No duty charged on my order last month. The distribution center is in the US.
  16. You do not have to enter a relationship to display a logo. If the logo is trademarked, you should indicate as such if you too have trademarks and wish they be respected too. But it is really up to the owner of the logo to protect their trademarks and brands. If you're making money off someone else's logo, the owner of the logo may want you to license its use. This is the sort of stuff your intellectual property department can sort out. Lots of it is dependent on where you're doing business and the laws around it.
  17. I think it is a plot by LEGO to encourage you to buy the set which comes with a copy of the printed instruction booklet in high res. I used PDFs when I don't feel like digging out the printed instructions. It is not too hard to figure out what parts are what from the PDF if you have built the set before.
  18. Welcome to Eurobricks and congrats. How did you determine which table gets which theme?
  19. ^^ Nice work on the softbox. Are you still using bulbs with different color temperatures?
  20. I like the Treasure Island set too. It's great for figs and parts for MOCs. The female pirate is one i'd want to add to my collection of figs. The crocodile is going to stick out against my 2009 sets crocodiles. Maybe I can make him King Croc to my other crocs.
  21. I'm in the basement too. No scents for me. Although, when I display my creations at events with many little kids, they come home smelling like little kids' feet.
  22. Does the creation have to be newly created between now and Dec. 15, 2014? It is not mentioned in the rules and regulations.
  23. It's a sticker on a race car modeled after a real car? It's not like LEGO and ExxonMobil have an agreement to sell exclusive sets at their gas stations. Or does it?
  24. Technic is in the By Theme on the Canada S@H website. I guess each country can set what they want to display.
  25. It looks like you are shooting a back lit object. What metering mode did you use?
