Did I win the Slave 1? What are the rules? Is it my turn to post a pic of the spares in a recent set I got?
-
Sorted my latest PAB cup.

I think all the recent World and City passenger trains lack passenger doors. 4511, 7897, and 7938 don't have them. Some people MOD their own doors. I guess that's the thing with LEGO, don't like what LEGO supplies, MOD it. ;classic:

Does TLG filter negative reviews on S@H?
dr_spock replied to jodawill's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's my nightmare when I used to put up incomplete or place holder content on the internal staging server for other team members to review. Someone would accidentally promote it to the production server which the external customers can see. -
1740 pieces. I have more round 1x1 bley tiles than I probably know what to do with but they make good empty space filler in the cup...

Yup, it is bright green now. There is another topic on this: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=104533

Your photo is on Bricklink. I don't think it would have been uploaded by LEGO. Someone got it from somewhere. It could be one of those confidential early product test or planning pics. Cement truck is 2007 set, not sure if they watermarked confidential back then.

Why didn't you post the openable cockpit in the original post? That makes it even more fun. Maybe let the kids watch the series. I'll play with it if your kids won't and show them how much fun it is with a monkey pilot crashing the Eagle into the nuclear dump pile.

Lighter colors vary too. I grabbed a bunch of yellow and bley 1x4s off the PAB wall. They have slight variations that are noticeable in bright light. In my dim LEGO basement, everything looks fine. Also having old man eyes helps not seeing the difference.

Most efficient/creative use of PF components in small locos.
dr_spock replied to Srbandrews's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I crammed PF into Monster Fighter Ghost Train a couple of years ago -> http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=88006 Not sure which is easier, retrofitting an existing engine for PF or designing your MOC for PF. -
Now that's a big locomotive. Great job.

Have you done a look through the Train forum master index topic -> http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28418 There are indexes of MOCs with pics, PF functions, etc. in there. -
Good try, Captain. It is playable, function over form. I had a Revell model of it back in the days. You can find all episodes of season 1 and 2 on YouTube for those who want to refresh their memories. Season 1 was better. Season 2 got weird.

OK I give up, need some help on crossing part numbers
dr_spock replied to v6TransAM's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I used regular 1x8 tiles between the rails. I found a pic of the crossing in 60051. They used 1x8 tiles too. -

It's good starter with all the required pieces (except batteries) to get going right out of the box that is readily available for purchase. It is the same battery box used the cargo 60052 or any other train sets. The issue is the size of the positive (+) tip of the battery not fitting into the opening to make contact with the metal terminal. Get AAA batteries with small skinny tips.

Does TLG filter negative reviews on S@H?
dr_spock replied to jodawill's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For LEGO products, I don't bother with the reviews on LEGO.com. I read the reviews on EB which are better. Outside of LEGO, I have had good experiences with products that had many negative reviews. Some times you can tell the reviews were written by people with no clue how to use the product correctly and saying it doesn't work. -
I haven't had any missing pieces before. I thought I had a missing piece with Fire Brigade. It might have been I used that piece in the wrong place due to misreading the color in the instruction manual.

General Part Discussion
dr_spock replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Because the seller is hoping someone will pay that much for MSIB. Whether anyone will pay him that much is another matter. Who knows if he will get lucky. You can bricklink the parts for $200 and you see no value in sealed box. It is recommended you not bother with that 8275.- 5,506 replies

I am guessing the graphics had to be done for the calendar before the new blue designs were finalized and available for general use.
