  1. It's my LEGO version of a railroad's train wheel profiling machine. Train wheels have to be regularly inspected and reprofiled as needed.
  2. That would be good. Not sure if I should be hoarding couplers like Power Function motors. Could the LGB couplers be modified for LEGO by driling a 4.8mm hole to connect a Technic pin? I saw a 3D printable version on Thingiverse last year. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3333595
  3. That motor looks similar to the one in the LEGO Power Functions M motor. Is the manufacturer molded on the end cap of the motor like with the M motors?
  4. Why not use a PIR sensor and have the train automatically run only when someone is in the room? It'll save wear and tear on rare parts and motors. It might be fun to see how pets react.
  5. Wasn't Fxbrick or somebody planning to produce the old style train windows? I sense the next batch of CITY trains will be in the style of current modern trains.
  6. Interesting. Is LEGO planning to do away with their magnetic coupler/buffers?
  7. You could use LEGO to remove the LEGO train wheel flange.
  8. Love the welding of the fork. Now if LEGO sells LEGO branded cutting discs and flap wheel discs.
  9. You could contact LEGO and inquire. Maybe they'll give you permission or license you. You never know.
  10. Just use the pictures on the box if you need a more challenging build experience.
  11. Clone brand discussions are permitted in the Community forum section.
  12. Where are the two 2x6x2 weights located? Are they above the driven wheels? Maybe the LiPO box can be replaced with LEGO AAA box for extra weight?
  13. I posted my Sunday 13th up a little early. I have to work on Saturday and may not have time to do it.
  14. 13th of December
  15. Super glue also come in a thick version that won't run.
  16. The PU connectors don't have tabs that can break off like the EV3/NXT RJ12 connectors. EV3/NXT RJ12 connectors and the special crimper are very pricey. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can learn to make your own custom PU extension cables dirt cheap.
  17. Maybe an auto body repair shop can help with paint colour matching?
  18. I can get usable parts out of my cheapy kit printer like PU and PF connectors to make adapter cables. I print ABS in the bathroom. The bathroom's exhaust fan vents the ABS fumes to outside. Acetone vapour smoothing can be used on ABS prints. You can also play with the scaling function in your 3D printer slicer program to get the print to the right size. It's a lot of trial and error. Have fun.
  19. Dust can also come from your body shedding dead skin cells. Staying out of the LEGO room could help.
  20. 7710 is my fav.
  21. https://youtu.be/3tDYqh66wtw
  22. I thought the rodents find the new bio-plastics tastier than the old dino oil plastics. Are the rest of insulation on the ribbon cables still pliable? I had cracking on old Technic 9V cables but the whole cable would go brittle and crumble.
  23. Rapido Trains use magnetic switches to turn on/off their HO and N scale passenger cars' lights. I guess it is useful if you buried the box inside your MOC with no easy physical access to a push button.
  24. Some times you can tell by the sheen and/or the color. Years ago I was at a LEGO convention and spotted a single 1x2 MegaBlok plate in someone's MOC. It stood out like from a mile a way without any actively seeking effort.
