Differences in pricing are due to different conditions of marketing region/country. USA advertized prices do not include taxes in the price whereas UK prices has VAT included. Some countries may have import tariffs on toys which gets passed on in the price to the consumers. If the company has a branch in the country, pricing have to account for the cost of doing business in that country such as real estates costs, corporate taxes, employee pay and benefits, insurance, etc. How much volume of product a country can expect to sell also factor in. What your local competition is doing. Some times it is how much you can set the price so that customers don't shop in the country next to yours and still meet the profit/revenue targets company headquarters set for your country/region. If it is as simple as a straight currency conversion, then there is no need to hire staff to create pricing model spreadsheets.

Sweet. How did they do that? -
I think Zephyr1934 has some photos of BrickWorld in his Brickshelf folder.

There are the Friends Heartlake City Airport or the Friends Heartlake Private Jet if you don't mind the color scheme or MODing them. I have 3181 that I'm trying to make more friendly for the minidolls.

Great build. Fabulous details like Rebel targets, generator glow....

Interesting idea. Is it done by induction with electromagnetic field? Any danger to people with heart pace maker getting too close to get a good look at your MOC at an event?

Since the changes, Flickr has been slower than molasses for me. Brickshelf images load fast when their servers are working. Trying to view images on Flickr is almost unusable on my Internet connection. The old Flickr was quick.

Neat. Nice work and details on engine and cars. Do you have a pic of the full train?
-
Nice design. The NS train is instantly recognizable. Do you plan to build it physically?

[HELP] Tracks
dr_spock replied to N-4K0's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
For the 8043 excavator, it is around 22 studs between the centers of the sprockets. I was testing something before and did it with 19 studs between centers. Not sure how long you want your tracks to be. You could also use shock absorber to add tension idler to remove slack. Happy experimenting. -
Actually that 1x2x2 brick is handy to avoid STAMP. The transparent sticker I made for my fire recue train covers two 1x2 bricks vertically.

Neat. It is interesting how well the old trains and the new trains look together. -
For the table shot, you could move in or zoom in closer or crop it so more details could be seen. I don't think a lot of post editing would make a better MOC other using up time that could be spent building or planning the MOC.
