  1. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  2. Good work. The LEGO will hold. I used clone liftarms to fix a set of headphones before and the clone pieces broke. I re-did the fix with LEGO Technic liftarms. The LEGO even outlasted the wires in the cord.
  3. Internet
  4. The older you get, the less you care about what the cashier thinks. I don't think I ever felt odd buying LEGO even when I was in university.
  5. I think it might be better to skip the teaser and released the full details of this truck as it is not well known in all parts of the world.

  7. He did shoot first, n'est-ce pas? I think it would have been more believable if the staffer got down on his knees and picked up the pieces.
  8. Very nice. It's weird to see Princess Leia grouped with the .Merry Christmas.
  9. After you've removed the screws, you can pull the inside part out in the direction away from the switch. You may have to pry gently to free the two halves.
  10. Is it like freehand drawing? You have an image in your head and you build it on the fly without first doing a CAD mock up or pre-planning?
  11. Welcome aboard, Dan.
  12. Ha, clever.
  13. Welcome General Hux.
  14. Welcome Leslie. Non-LEGO pictures and clone brand discussion threads can take place in the Community Forum section. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showforum=7
  15. Weight of LEGO should not be problem if you screw the shelf brackets into the studs behind your wall. Be sure your screws are long enough. The shelving can hold up to stacks of books like LEGO set instruction manuals. I'm using 12" shelving.
  16. Wall shelving can vary in costs from inexpensive to expensive. You didn't mention what country you're in. You can find some inexpensive stuff at Home Depot. Alternatively, you could make your own display shelves or case out of old wooden skids. I some times see stacks of them with "free" signs at some local businesses. Do It Yourself is an option when money is tight.
  17. Interesting. Is there a reason to have the flange on the outside of the rails? Wouldn't that cause problems going through switches?
  18. There have been a number of people PF'ed them like this one: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=433326
  19. Trying a silhouette shot with a CMF Day 351 of 365: Jack You Know Not by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Thank you.
  20. I think most people are pretty goood with using the spoiler tags. The other thing to consider is MOCs of scenes from the movie will start appearing shortly. Maybe best to hide out on Degobah.
  21. It's a good day for a snowball battle. Day 350 of 365: Snowballs by dr_spock_888, on Flickr AT-AT cargo drop system. Stand clear. Day 352 of 365: Supply Drop by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Thank you.
  22. Thanks. He would make a strange fairy too. Thanks. Thanks. Baby staying awake all night and lack of sleep will do that to one's face.

    Pet peeves?

People in the legal department of the company owning that trademarked brand name would care. If the name become genericized in common use then a trademark law suit could be lost in court. People use Kleenex to refer to any brand of tissue paper, Bandaid to any brand of bandages, Xerox instead of photocopy, aspirin instead of Bayer Aspirin for pain relief from people correcting "Legos". Do AFOLs in general have any obligations to protect the LEGO brand's trademark? How about those AFOLs who are LEGO ambassadors?
