Yesterday I picked up a lot of 78 star wars sets. The lot included some good sets, such as... 10179-1, 10188-1, 10143-1, 10030-1 He listed them as all used, but half of the sets where sealed in baggies with no box.

I recently aquired a lot with 60+ Star Wars sets. I have included a list of sets below. The sets that have a price are new in sealed baggies with instructions, but NO BOX. The sets without a price are used but complete with instructions. Feel free to make me an offer on those. I just picked up a lot of 78 Star Wars sets. Many of them are still in the sealed baggies, never built! I listed many of them on bricklink as I either already have the set or I am using the $$ to offset the cost of this find. It was like Christmas the day I picked this lot up! A LOT of people have $600+ laying around. If LEGO produced something like this for $600, it would fly off the shelves! A limited run would get gobbled up real fast! It the above model was release for $700 and it was limited to 25,000: I would buy as much as I could! A new MF and AT-AT in one year, that would be awesome.

In response to the original post. If you have any interest: * Buy the oldest two or three NOW. * Don't overspend on the oldest five. I have all of them and in all honesty, I don't display them for many reasons. * If you want the original three/four, go used or bricklink with substitutes. * Don't be afraid to buy multiples. This series is my favorite by far. The only sets I still purchase actually.

Looks great so far, I would also give this a go if you are wiling to share the file!

This will be the first in the series I skip. I am very disappointed. It has been a family tradition to build the new set together every Christmas season. Guess I can spend the $$ elsewhere. Now if this whas a set I did not already have, I would feel different. But that said this is not the set to re-release. An early modular or UCS Falcon... just saying.

So far one of these slid ever so slightly and caused a great amount of friction. After fixing that it helped a little. But I still feel that the crank is too hard to turn. I need to once again turn on one function at a time and figure out where the friction is. What module did you guys find caused the most friction? Did you lubricate anything?

Yesterday I finished building the Ball Factory. It does not run smooth yet. I have a feeling I need to spend a few hours checking every joint and slightly adjusting the timing. For those that have build this: how much time did it take to make it run effortlessly, with no friction?

I would suspect that this will need more gbc sitting than most. There are so many gears and rods That need to stay put. I am half way done building this beauty.

Not going to happen, sorry mate! You can never get enough modulars. As for me I have been putting off purchasing the DO. I may also pick up a 75059 Sandcrawler, 75060 Slave I and Tumbler.

Yep definitely gone for good. I disagree. The DA does have some publicized play features I agree, but that does not take away from the appearance of the set. It is a great looking set with some creativity in the build. If Lego can expand the attraction of this series, I say go for it, just don't sacrifice appearance and complexity. I think PS will be around for the rest of the year. 2015 seal cods are all ready being reported and we just lost two modulars. I would be shocked if it went before the fall of 2015.
