Thank you for the quick reply. I had book #1 in my cart already, I will add the others as well. You are right about my 10 year old, but I may dabble with it as well. Although I have not written in C since 2005. -

Collecting MISB sets
Follows Closely replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A few months back I purchased a couple Medieval Market Village sets to store away. The reason being that this is the first set my girls built, the set that introduced them to LEGO. Fast forward 15-20 years when they have there own kids. I will surprise them with a unique gift. That's the plan anyhow. I also have a few MISB that we have just not gotten around to building. Saving them for a rainy day. -
Future of Mindstorms

My main concern is that I don't want to buy 2.0, then have 3.0 come out a month later. We have been accumulating LEGO for 2.5 years now. All the technic has been tossed into a large tub to be sorter when the kids where older. That time is now here! Below you will see our non-technic blocks. Two is a must. I have bought a few other Technic sets with the intention of bring them out when the kids are a bit older, sets 8110 and 8043. I thought that the motors could be used in conjunction with the NTX. Bad assumption I now learned. -

My soon to be 10 year old asked for this for her Birthday in November. Are there any rumors that may influence my buying decision. I also want to purchase two, one for each older kid so we can have battles. -
Welcome to the forum, it is a great place to waste spend hours and hours. If you haven't yet heard, Batman is coming back! What part of VA are you from?
-
I hope they clean they up a bit. I don't like the current look as they are too long and flat.
-
That is an interesting new block. I am not convinced that it is a 1x1x2, it may be a 1x2x2. Take a close look at it here.
