  1. @ Someonenamedjon: One could use non-Lego RC-style wheels and tires on Lego Technic Axles. If you need the axles to attach to the wheels, one could epoxy a Lego 2x2 Round Plate to the center of the wheel, and thread a Lego Axle through the Lego Round Plate. Derfel Cadarn - posted this picture on his Flickr photostream, and wrote: "Oh Yes! They fit!!" "I took the wheels off an old Tamiya RC Monster Beetle I had lying around. To my surprise, they have the same size axel hole is Lego wheels and the Technic axel fits like a glove. To top it off, a 8x8 dish fits perfectly on the front of the wheel and hides the gold rims. It amazing how perfect everything fits, its like they were built for Lego. "These are gonna look sweet on a huge space vehicle, or any other large vehicle for that matter. Now I gotta go and order some 8x8 dish plates in various colours!"
  2. @ davidmull: "Lego Direct" is what you are seeking -- it is also known as Lego Customer Service. Log onto http://www.Lego.com , make sure that your Region (at the top-center) is set for your country, then look at the bottom of the screen for "Contact Us". Telephone Lego Customer Service to order your desired parts. You will need the LEGO Part Number (not the Bricklink number) for everything you want. To find this out, look at the Parts Inventory page at the back of your favorite Lego Technic set, and write down the numbers ahead of time; this Lego Customer Service webpage can help you download PDF Building Instructions. You can order a maximum of 10-15 different line items (not 10-15 pieces); the maximum keeps changing. You need a Credit Card number.
  3. Bellisimo! Now try to do the same thing with a Lego Technic Excavator and one of the Lego Friends:
  4. I have compiled all 161 JPG images of Mbmc's Lego Technic Mini RC Tatra 813 - 8x8 into a single, 10.3-MB PDF file, available for download via SkyDrive here.
  5. I have compiled all of efferman's 405 individual JPG images of his Lego Technic Offroad Deliveries (9398 alternate) into a single, 22-MB PDF file, available for download via SkyDrive here. @ efferman: I know that xSergio74's SR 3D Builder has the ability to flex axles, but it may not be as easy to use as Lego Digital Designer (LDD).
  6. @ Nicklord: Your Tipper Truck looks good! You could build a Skidsteer Loader next....
  7. Now THAT is unusual! I don't think I've seen Lego Technic "swim" before!
  8. @ Balthasar_the_Dark: You should have mentioned that your red vehicle above is the Lego Technic 8070 B-Model (Hot Rod). Image
  9. @ Carsten Svendsen: If you are serious about making such a huge MOC (and stressing the Lego Technic Liftarms to their limits), you should read Tl8's 29-page "Investigation Into the Strength of Lego Technic Liftarms and Brick Beams, and of Liftarm Pin Connections".
  10. @ WR3KL3SS: Are you trying to make your 42000 look like the Ferrari F1 racer?
  11. @ rm8: In your interaction with The Lego Group about the final design of "The Boss", is there any chance that they would produce the set in a DARK BLUE color? Reference the results of the TechnicBRICKS poll topic:
  12. @ Carsten Svendsen: I know that in 2013 Sariel was planning on making a "...Bucket Wheel Excavator model, which I’ve been thinking on for a long time since 2009,when my first attempt at it failed. I think I know now where I went wrong and how to go right. The model will surely be massive, and controlled by no less than two NXT units, allowing wireless remote control using a pad. There will be over 400 of the tread links alone in this model, and I think it’s going to be a huge and challenging build."
  13. @ Balthasar_the_Dark: Welcome to Eurobricks! That Lego Technic Steering part shown above is not available in LDD, but hrontos made some LDD Shock Absorbers on this Eurobricks post. Although nobody seems to have created an LDD model of the 8070 Super Car set, you can check this list to see if your other (real) models exist in LDD.
  14. @ SBFD: Welcome to Eurobricks! You should probably send your very specific question to the LDD2PovRay developers, by using their Contact Page.
  15. The Lego Easter Egg has been added to Rebrickable. The Parts List there shows an all-red version, but these colors can be used for the ENTIRE EGG (regardless of layer): BLACK, BLUE, BROWN, DARK GRAY, GREEN, LIGHT BLUISH GRAY, LIGHT GRAY, RED, TAN, WHITE, & YELLOW. Other colors COULD be used for a given layer, but one has to check this PDF Color Availability Chart to make sure.
  16. @ Chilly: Since the 8865 Test Car's Building Instructions are not available from Lego.com , you can download them in PDF form from this Bricks.argz.com webpage.
  17. Here is a 400% enlargement of that Lego Technic 42009 Mobile Crane MkII's underbelly (click on the image to see FULL SIZE):
  18. @ JohannesESTONIA: Welcome to Eurobricks! For inspiration, there are many Lego Trikes that you could borrow ideas from, like this one:
  19. According to Brickpicker.com , the value of the 5571 Giant Truck set is about USD $650. This is corroborated by Rebrickable.com , where you could get 81% of the required parts for USD $503. Parts needed to build Andrea Grazi's 5571 Tow Truck would be extra. Set Pieces: 1757 Minifigures: N/A Retail Price: $138.99 Set Year: 1996
  20. @ Carsten Svendsen: Wow, that fuselage is BIG. Do you plan on displaying your completed model from a rope hanging from the ceiling? Soaking the wire Flex Cables in vinegar for a week may corrode them (since vinegar has a weak acid); perhaps you should get a bottle of Fabreze Air Freshener (or something similar) to get rid of the smoke smell, or place them in Baking Soda (which removes odors from refrigerators).
  21. Thanks, Jernej, for your LDD work -- you are THE MASTER at that!
  22. @ Burf2000: Ha! You sure had a good time at LEGOWORLD 2013, doing the "The EV3RSHAKE (The Harlem Shake with LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3)"!
