  1. Nico van Duin posted this of "A helicopter rotor with cyclic and collective pitch. The swashplate control is done by three M-motors and the rotor is powered by one L-motor":
  2. Sariel has his Photo Processing Tutorial to enable your black MOC to show up better against a background, like this:
  3. So, are you going to buy something for everyone on this forum?
  4. @ anderssons: Welcome to Eurobricks! Your use of those rare Lego Pneumatic Cylinder connector backets as roof guns is interesting....
  5. "Eurobricks -- Bringing People Together Around the World". I recommend that people get back on topic, or (better yet) let this topic alone for awhile....
  6. [bUMP] almightyarjen posted this about "These "glassbuffers" [which] are made of soft squeezable plastic and fit just nice and thight into Lego Technic holes. Therefore they are ideal to use on a caterpillar track to get an extreme amount of traction! For sale at my Bricklink shop: http://www.bricklink...itemID=42698689 ":
  7. Yes, the pulley wheels offer the most compact solution, but one could use bigger Lego wheels to do the same locking mechanism. I'm not sure why Someonenamedjon is avoiding using the pulley wheels (unless he doesn't have any)....
  8. If you want to build a Lego Combination Lock for a container, consider nopXweedlee's version with a step-by-step video Building Instruction:
  9. You could always "cook" your bricks at 375 degrees F. (190 degrees C.) to make a lampshade out of them!
  10. Interesting -- good luck at your state's competition!
  11. It's not "street legal", but here's a full-size Ferrari F1 car made out of Lego bricks (from this story on CarBuzz):
  12. It seems that The Boss has parts that don't need stickers to make them "beautiful", compared to the standard, white 9398:
  13. If you mean the Ansmann tires that efferman used, yes those are no longer available. However, you can get similar 1.9" (48mm) Inside Diameter (I.D.) RC tires in the recommended 37mm-48mm widths from various sources. The company with the best selection is RC4WD (which you could probably get online in Australia somehow). You can do an eBay search for "1.9 tire" and dozens of different types (and brands) will pop up.
  14. @ Lamboguy59: You could consider getting 3rd Party RC Tires for your 9398. They perform better than the Lego Power Puller tires, and look more realistic. Any 1.9" (48mm) Inside-Diameter (I.D.) RC tire will fit the 9398's standard 44772 wheels, if the tires are in the 37-48mm width range.
  15. @ TasV: Actually, it is a common practice to reduce the tire pressure in real tires to enhance grip in snow, mud, and ice (where friction is poor). So, when your Micro Crawler Tires partially deflate, the tire contact patch is greater and one gets better grip than if the tire were more puffed-up. I'm curious about the combination of a sticky RC tire and the Rotocaster Omniwheel (which has a lot less friction). One is resistant to sideways movement, and the other can turn in virtually any direction with ease....
  16. @ rm8: Months ago, The Lego Group had posted these dates (in blue text below), but you indicated that the March 22 date was slipping to April sometime. Are there new target dates for "The Boss" Crawler set? "Our design team will work together with the competition winner to develop and build the winning version of the LEGO Technic 4x4 Crawler. The winning design will be produced in a limited edition of 20,000 and will be available online for pre-order from 1 July 2013 at http://shop.lego.com/ . "Dates to remember • 31 December 2012 – Last chance to upload your design! • 9 January 2013 – Short List announced by the LEGO Technic Jury • 22 January 2013 – Last chance to vote for your favourite short-listed design! • 22 January 2013 – The winner is announced! • 22 March 2013 – Online Presentation of the completed 4x4 Crawler special build • 01 July 2013 – Pre-orders open! • 01 August 2013 – Official worldwide launch of the winning 4x4 Crawler design"
  17. The Product Sheets for each of the Lego Mindstorms EV3 components are available on this LegoEducation webpage. The 45508 IR Beacon Product Sheet does not say (one way or another) whether the EV3 is backwards-compatible with the NXT 2.0 intelligent brick, but one could assume that it is....
  18. Here are the YouTube videos of the Lego Demag CC8800 V-3 Crane that Benjiii712/ Ben Klink is referring to:
  19. On MOCPages, zozet vangsfeldt has a Lego Digital Designer (LDD) .lxf Building Instruction file for a Power Functions pistol-grip controller that uses these parts:
  20. Fresko's Motorized 42007 MOC is now available on Rebrickable.
  21. @ TasV: There are mixed opinions about that -- read this previous Eurobricks topic about the Lego 2986 9V Micromotor. I personally don't think it could do it. The 5119 Micromotor (2986 on Peeron, and 70823 in TLG) is used in the 8480 Space Shuttle set. From Brickfactory.info , here is a picture of it being used in the alternate (submarine) model. There is an old-style 2x2 electric plate attached to the 5306b "Electric, Wire with Brick 2 x 2 x 2/3 Pair" cable that clips onto the backside of the 9V Micromotor:
  22. @ TasV: Yes, that cable that OleBM found will power any of the old-style Lego 9V motors that have the electrified 2x2 black plate (including all of the ones you listed in your post above).
