  1. Using that diff and a 40 tooth gear would make the car go even faster. So...why did TLG decide to develope a new diff?
  2. So people can complaint that is not. And if it is, people will complain about that too.
  3. Of course it can. You could easily use a 40 tooth gear and the old linear diff in place of this:
  4. I have a feeling something massive is heading soon. 42099 relased with new hubs, which are overdimensioned for that low geared and light model. 42109 has a new preassembled diff, even though any old gear would be strong enough for such a simple, light car. These two new components are IMO pointing that there is a heavy, maybe AWD new set coming out soon. Why else would TLG develop expensive, much stronger components? I'm thinking we will see something like a new monster truck with even bigger (150+mm) wheels, or maybe an 8x8 truck with simillar finctions to the Arocs, but in a bigger scale (5000+ pcs).
  5. Preassembled differential body mated to a clutch 28 tooth gear. Should fit nicely in a 5x7 frame to mate with a 12 tooth gear. Now I'm just wondering if it's a normal, or a Torsen differential...
  6. They need to hire more designers! Regarding the model, it looks like an updated 8460 with and extra axle and LA instead of pneumatics. Even outriggers seem to have a simillar mechanism. Nice use of the bewel 20 tooth gear to extend the boom.
  7. Here's another screen: Here's what I think we have: A 28 TOOTH CLUCTH GEAR mated to A 2 studs wide TORSEN DIFFERENTIAL which is preassembled like 42099 hubs
  8. Here you can see the gearing. From what I see it could be a new diff, or just a recolored 28 tooth gear.
  9. Yes, PU L and XL motors have absolute position sensors.
  10. I know it may not look the ebst, but look at it from a different point. This is a very nice starter pack to start with PU. It's also the first time in many years if ever, we get a very simple model with drive and steering. I have a hunch we are also gonna get a new differential casing, one that's can be meshed parallel and perpendicular.
  11. Please see this video where it's stated:
  12. Youtube is based in US, they have to apply to US law. Everyone uploads to YT from entire world, so they have to follow that law.
  13. Doesn't matter if you are monetized or not, ads can still play during your video. And those have to comply. Ads may start to play with your videos if one of them has a copyright srike.
  14. Problem I see is, that, yes you marked channel is not targting kids. BUT if a third party person checks and intereperts your video a indeed targeting for kids, you can be fined with like 42.000$. And a lot of MOC videos can be seen as targeting kids from a unknowing observer.
  15. Not sure if this is a correct place, so apologies in advance. As a Youtube creator who builds and uploads MOCs made from Lego Technic, how can I decide if my videos are targeting kids? I'm a bit perplexed, since technically looking, yes kids do watch my videos, but my models are not targeting them, since they are gerneally not simple lego set reviews, but a few steps above that. In my interpetation, if I made a video like 42100 review, it would be marketed for kids, even though 42100 is 16+, I'm stil reviewing a toy. But if I build a custom, complicated model from Lego pieces, and make a video which is clearly made for more mature audiences, is it sill targetting kids? Also, I noticed the YT's own algorithm tagged most of my vidoes containing LEGO in the headline as for kids... What is your opinion, fellow members? The way things are going with YouTube and politics lately I'm thinking of just leavening it...
  16. Problem with the new hubs is they have quite a bit of friction, and the faster you drive them, the more friction you have to overcome... Also since new PU XL and L motors have nearly identical characteristics I suggest you use 4 or more L motors for drive because they will take up less room.
  17. Is you BuWuizz V1 type? Can you try if it works with legacy app?
  18. I spend the afternoon finishing up the LDD file which you can download here: https://bricksafe.com/files/Zblj/tiger-6x6/tiger 6x6.lxf Notice, there are few parts missing: 2x Front wheel from Land rover defender 1x Blue 20 tooth clucth gear to drive the steering wheel The LDD model is grouped in various submodules to ease building. Having said this is a very complex and interconnected build, so it's not for the fainthearted.
  19. You're not suppose to pair with it, but use the app. Also a year of zero use is very bad for the battery....
  20. What I would suggest is to replicate the gearbox in LDD or such program and color all the gears in different colors to help visualize how the power is transfered.
  21. Yeah with 1000 pieces it's going to be a small, manual model, maybe just 6 wheels scaled smillary to 8460. Probably a single stage boom, simple outriggers, maybe a fake engine driven by a central axle and if we are lucky a single large LA to lift boom.
