  1. Just picked up the Crawler crane on Amazon for £91, can't believe they are discounting before it's even officially launched?
  2. Not impressed at all with Argos for removing the Merc set from their website before the 3 for 2 offer!
  3. These Maersk trucks look great, I'd like to see Lego do more partnerships with other companies in the future, I think in general, most companies would be flattered to have there brand made into a Lego set, and I doubt many would expect royalties, more than likely would be happy to receive a couple of 100 copies of the finished set.
  4. But that is not the question I asked? I can see it's a speedboat. I'm more interested in the long bit controlled by the front stepper motor
  5. Old school 12v, amazing what could be done with 99% Red, Grey and Black bricks back then!
  6. I've given up hope for this year, hopefully Jan 1st will bring us more luck for a new Creator train, maybe they just needed more time to perfect it!
  7. What is the bit on the front that whips up quickly, is this some kind of fishing rod device? Looks like you should be able to attach a hook and line and potentially hook yourself a decent fish when he bites!
  8. I complained about the ghostbusters instruction manual falling apart, which I think happened to everyone. They asked for the code from the manual as proof of purchase, but never sent the replacement manual. Knowing it was at risk of falling apart, we were ever so careful when building the set, but the manual still fell apart. I really should try them again. Paul
  9. I'm thinking with the release of the hot air balloon mold in the friends line this year, there is some potential for a 4x4, trailer and a hot air balloon in the city lineup.
  10. Here is me thinking we are going to see a train smashing from a collapsed bridge!
  11. Great review, can't wait for Christmas now…...
  12. My first impressions Those tires look like they could have been a tiny bit larger, but I understand how it's better to reuse than have a new size from a cost point of view I had not realised until the review, that the outriggers were not in line with each other, it makes sense, but something I had not picked up It's great to see the steering solution being done using a different method, The rear Diff is clever Overall, I love it, and the B model is worthy of an investment in a second copy as well!
  13. I'm actually a bit disappointed that they are planning a complete release of minifigures, all based on the Halloween/Monsters theme. Obviously I'm in the minority, and LEGO does not make products for the minority, hence they are doing this. And after 29 pages of posts, nearly all positive about this release. I understand why they are doing this. But for me I'd prefer a mixture of figures covering all themes as before, I think it's more suitable to a wider audience. But also I get the timing makes sense with Halloween in October, and I realise how big this time of the year is in America. So it's a no brainer from a business point of view. For me, hopefully series 15 will be mixed again Paul
  14. What they should cost……and what you will be offered…….. if it's a quick sale, I personally think you will have more chance if you sell them as seperate sets, than finding someone new to Winter Village sets who will front up a lump sum like that and have them all. Equally, your chances of selling in 3 - 4 months time, will obviously be higher than the height of the summer. Unfortunately I have all the sets already (although I've not built Santa's house) but I wish you all the best. Paul
  15. I've played most of the TT video games (with the exception of the Harry Potter ones) through to 99 - 100%, and even though some say the gameplay is repetitve, this will be on my wish list at some point. I'm really hoping the free play world is the whole island to randomly explore, this will be very cool.
  16. mmm, much as I prefer the ability to flat pack Lego boxes, (storage is becoming more of an issue) Flagship technic sets, I tip all the pieces into the box and build from here. now I will have to get a load of trays.
  17. How realistic is that levelling system? I recall the Fellowbunchers at work in the TV show swamp loggers, but I don't recall the cab being so high and that tilting mechanism, it works well, but I've just never seen this. Nice job, Paul
  18. Yes I have 1, you could buy them in Toy's R Us for a £1, they had a selection of re-usable shopping bags at the time, but this was the only Lego one.
  19. They even mentioned a chocolate factory and a golden ticket. I thought it was good, would have liked to see more of the factory, but still very interesting. Worth a watch
  20. I made this tank container for the container competition the other year, but it's no where near as tidy as your design, It does not help the number of changes LEGO has made to the standard container size over the years.
  21. So how are you supposed to get the Backhoe off of the flatbed? There is no ramp…..the grabber crane it is? Or the little Lego operator is very skilled machine operator ;-)
  22. Last year I certainly saw similar but on different continents. In the USA the logging truck has a tape sealed box, but when it came out in the UK 3 months later, it had glued boxes. To be honest, this helped me as I was able to flat pack the boxes when I carried them back from the USA to UK in my luggage! My preference would always be for tape sealed boxes as they are easier to flat pack for storage. Storage is becoming more of an issue as my collection grows.
  23. great until a young child comes along and swallows a plastic Lego brick by mistake…...
  24. I actually think the name of this train being "Heavy Haul Train" is a bit ironic as it's cargo does not appear to be that heavy, no to mention that long flatbed car, any real weight on there and it will bend in the middle. Probably would have been better if it had been transporting part of the shuttle. I'm still going to have to get it, just because it's a Lego train. ahhhh
