  1. The cheapest one I'm seeing in the US (his location) is $30. He said he had some of the pieces in his extras already so trying to bricklink less than 55 pieces for under $30? I'd definitely think it's doable. That's around 60 cents apiece. Stretched a cross 4 orders and paying shipping 4 times instead of just one? That probably didn't help.
  2. An easier way to do it is to add all the pieces you want to a wanted list. From there you can generate a list of stores with the parts you want in stock. It's possible with long wanted lists that no store will have everything you need but you should be able to narrow it down pretty well. There's also something called brickficiency, which I'm unfamiliar with, but as I understand it, it takes a list of parts used in LDD to generate a lie of stores with the parts. I think it even figures out the cheapest way to get all the pieces but someone else in the know should probably explain that for you.
  3. Welcome, and I look forward to seeing you in The Guilds of Historica (All Hail Avalonia)!
  4. I really like the look of the structure--very well done. I'm not a huge fan, however, of the groundwork. While the shaping is very well done, the grouping of colors seems a bit strange. Overall good work!
  5. I like those flowers but I really love that tree! Great as usual!
  6. That serpent really does look nice. Almost wish I had picked up Smaug now.
  7. This really looks great. As said, it blends together very smoothly between modules. It definitely does remind me a little bit of Gideon's "Streets of Barqa" MOC.
  8. A very well executed build of a great idea. Skull and crown look great and all the skeletal remains surrounding it seem very appropriate. Keep up the great builds!
  9. Wow. Can't wait to see the real pic for this. That looks like an amazing floor and a very interesting structure.
  10. I feel like this will probably be an unpopular opinion but I actually really liked the goblins. The Uruk hai are also great but I think they're harder to use in non LOTR mocs because they look too much like Uruk hai.
  11. The "insert image" button doesn't work. As Kai mentioned, you need to upload it to an image hosting site, and then insert code here. The link mrcp6d provided should show you how to do it simple enough.
  12. Thanks to all for the feedback! Thanks. I originally planned to have the sidewalk on both sides, but ran out of tan tiles. The helmets were supposed to be representative of the four guilds. I just wanted to try something a little different for this border, since it was a rather boring square border. The brown round pieces are also seen in Gideon's "Streets of Barqa" scene, and I believe they were supposed to be dung, so I thought it would be fitting to have them in front of a camel stable as well. (By the way, where are you going to be joining GOH? ) Thanks. I'm not quite sure what you mean by a waste of parts, as they will be put on figs as I need them, but I agree about having them indented into the stone, as that was my original plan. However, I would have then needed to raise the border, which I didn't really want to do as it was already three bricks high.
  13. I'll throw my vote in saying that Robuko followed the design best.
  14. Not at all a bad first attempt at a dragon! Though a big bulky in parts I'd say overall it looks great!
  15. This really is a beautiful scene. Great water and vegetation! The building is also very nice and fitting here I think. Very nice build!
  16. Osric's Tale Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 10 Chapter 11 Chapter 12 Chapter 13 Chapter 14 Chapter 15 Chapter 16 Chapter 17 The Swift Wing landed in Barqa a few days later than expected due to lower winds than usual. While aboard, Osric helped as a deck hand as the captain saw fit. It had been a while since he had been aboard a ship, but he remembered enough to fulfill his duties. Even though summers in Oros could get very hot, the heat in Kalphlin was sweltering. Upon landing, Osric sought out the High Council representative at the import office on the harbor. The representative was amazed that Osric was offering to sell the food and supplies at such a low price. Because of the Great Disturbance and the war following after, food in Kaliphlin was very scarce, and most traders were asking for enormously inflated prices. Before leaving harbor, Osric informed the captain of how drastic the shortage of food really was, so that his father Lord Orys could plan to send more food immediately. Osric left with Christine in search of a camel stable that offered camels for sale that Osric was told about after asking at the import office. As they walked, Osric couldn’t shake an uneasy feeling, that he was being watched by everyone, and that someone was hiding in every shadow. Osric hoped there was nothing to it, and that he was just not used to the cultural differences in Kaliphlin. Regardless, they were able to find the camel stable fairly quickly, and promptly purchased two camels before setting off on the Oil Road for Ruadh. My second Kaliphlin build! Kaliphlin is a bit tricky for me to build still, but I think I'm getting it a little better. My current problem is my selection of tan pieces. As per Gideon's suggestion, I tried to follow his pattern for the streets of Barqa as closely as I could. While I don't think it's quite as nice as his, I do think it's recognizable as Barqa. C&C is welcome as always!
  17. I've enjoyed several of your little series you put together but this is my favorite. Some very excellent ones in here!
  18. If I remember right the drow challenge closed in December.
  19. A great start to a story! I'm looking forward to reading more. It reminds me a little of the hobbits hiding from the black riders. Looks great!
  20. Another (short) chapter finished: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108524
  21. Thanks for the feedback! Good to know someone's actually following this! Thank you!
  22. Thanks for the kind comments. The next chapter is taking longer than expected. Trying to build in someone else's style isn't very easy for me!
  23. The floor is of course great, but i really like the vegetation. Great details everywhere!
  24. As another 26 year old kindergarden teacher in Germany (seriously, how bizarre of a coincidence is that?), let me be the first to welcome you to Eurobricks!
  25. Great color scheme, and a nice wall design on that wall, though it could possibly use a little more texture. Also awesome how the grindstone works!
