  1. If gray hair doesn't bother you you could try gandalf's beard with the CMF grandpa headpiece. They go fairly well together I think, and could make a suitable wizard. If you're trying to make it look like you and you're not gray...then it might not work.
  2. Some very nice figs in here! You've inspired me to update the crew I made for my ship quite some time ago (and possibly add a few new members).
  3. I really like the ruined shrine. The pillars and circular cheese slope thingy are particularly nice. Any chance of an overhead shot of it?
  4. Very nice build for the same reasons already mentioned. I think this is my favorite build by you that I've seen. Keep it up!
  5. Good to see another entry, this contest got pretty quiet for a while there. I like the wanderer and cave dweller the most.
  6. Congratulations to all the winners. There were really some amazing entries. May I ask which poly bag the raffle winners won?
  7. I like this quite a bit. Simplistic but effective. And you do a very nice job on the floor mosaic. I've also been wanting to try my hand at one. Keep these coming!
  8. Wow. Really liked the outside. But the inside is gorgeous. Great build! I might have to borrow some ideas here.
  9. We can talk about in a PM once you get a few more posts. This topic is reserved for posts like your first one, listing trade options, and comments like this should be minimal/non-existent. What I meant by making more posts, was by doing so in other topics, for example MOCs you find in the forum. It won't take long to get up to ten.
  10. You won't be able to use the PM system until you've made at least ten posts. So go make some more posts, as I may be interested in trading a few with you.
  11. Last year there was a group of people that were left out of the random drawing pool. Although it was random to have been one of the people in this group, he felt bad and gave away more to give those that were initially left out a chance at winning. I wouldn't count on that happening again, but it does seem like he has something up his sleeve. I'm guessing there will be extra prizes given away tomorrow (day 24).
  12. Nice to see you decided to join! While they're lying to you about which guild is best, Mitgardia is at least in the top 5. Looking forward to seeing your builds.
  13. I like the use of tan(?) for the fresh cut boards. I've been tryin to use tan for wood as well, since it's a better color than brown for the insides of trees, but haven't gotten anything to look right. This definitely looks natural. So many other things to comment on, but others have already beaten me to it! Very nice work.
  14. While I definitely enjoy your GOH builds, I think these are my favorite from you. I've been watching these for a while, and I must admit they've got me wanting to start reading these books. Very nice wheel chair by the way.
  15. Ha. Never mind what I said earlier. I need to read things more carefully from now on.
  16. Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm glad so many people like the hunter. It's making me consider entering him into the CCC figure contest. It's strange because when I took the photos they didn't look as dark as they do here. When I look at the on my phone they look pretty nice. Natural lighting is difficult for me to use this time of year, but I took your advice and started using GIMP as you can see on the overall shot. I still need to learn how to use it better as cleaning up that one picture took way too long.
  17. Nice entry! All these flesh entries make we wish I had also gone that way. Out of these the imperial soldier jumps out at me. It might just be the name but he really reminds me of the imperial soldiers from the game Oblivion.
  18. This is a really nice but simple underwater build. I really like those footprints (I know they've been done similarly before, but i like your technique most from those I've seen). Small criticism is that hole looks a wee bit too small to get that fish out!
  19. I guess when I suggested the dwarves rune thing it was more of a suggestion on how to phrase it better, and bring it into what dwarves could do in their crafting if armor. You might be able to attach something like in the link you have but without having the armor to play around with I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to help you there. This is a good point as well I think. While I do think that making the enchanted armor once would fit into a minor and acceptable use of magic, commercializing it into equipping an army...well that does seem to be pushing it.
  20. I don't think I'd word it quite as you did. A "core" certainly sounds futuristic and out of place here. If you say the armor is enchanted, or has a dwarven rune, which cools off the wearer, I think it would be more in line with what would work. Minor enchantments, as I understand, are OK to use, and an enchantment that cools off the wearer seems minor to me (if others disagree, let me know). An enchantment that prevents the wearer from ever getting tired might be pushing the line however. If you're calling it a core because the back of the armor looks futuristic, I would avoid showing the back of the armor, as the front looks acceptable here, as SarahJoy mentioned. I would try to only photograph the figures with the armor from the front. If you want to photograph them from the back, other tricks like a cape, or clever placement of a tree or bush may also work to hide the back, and keep them looking historic. I hope this helps!
  21. Very nice mod. I wish I had some of these sets myself. It's fun to see you building in the historic genre a little. I see you popping over to the guilds of historica forum more and more. As one of my favorite builders in the pirates forum (partly due to the monkey humor) I would love to see you as a member of historica. There's definitely room for a monkey lord!
  22. Wow. That overview shot is amazing, as are so many of the little details within. The white ship sticks out and looks really great in the overview.
  23. You've done a nice job on the bear, but the sleigh really jumps out at me. Nice little build.
  24. As slegengr said, this is pretty good for limited pieces. I also think this is my favorite build of yours I've seen. I think a big reason for that is because of how compact you made the build. The ground still could use some work, but because it is small, as also because of the angle of the picture, it isn't as distracting. Keep making nice smaller builds like this and I think you're going to keep improving!
